Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing Quality Control testing of Pharmaceutical and Natural Health products.
**Responsibilities:**
Participating in various testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products using established analytical procedures and compendia methods.
Provide support on equipment cleaning verification in manufacturing area.
Operating HPLC/UPLC instruments.
Preparing various reagents (buffer solutions, standard, mobile phase)
Recognizing out-of-specification or out-of-trend results and assisting in the completion of lab investigation.
Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements in manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
Participate in the area of occupational health, safety, and wellness.
**Education and Experience:**
Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Chemistry or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Strong knowledge of HPLC techniques (min 5 years of experience)
Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Word and Excel.
Knowledge of the US or European Pharmacopoeia will assist

  • Maintaining project quality records, logs and turnover documents.

Education/Skills/Qualifications

  • CWB Level 2 certification with 5+ years experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industrial projects
  • A strong mechanical background is required.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle a multitude of concurrent tasks.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in the use of Microsoft and Google Suite of products. We are a Google-based company.
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to work in a high-pressure deadline driven environment.

Requirements

POSITION OVERVIEW :
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor the position performs a variety of sewing quality control and conformance functions. These duties include but are not limited to reading specs and examining filter bags to ensure they meet Albarrie quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Inspects filter bags upon completion to ensure they meet Albarrie’s quality standards as per the engineer drawing.
  • Folding and stacking filter bags on table.
  • Identifying and utilizing the appropriate cell plates tbased on the engineer drawing.
  • Repackaging repaired filter bags from customers as per specifications.
  • Occasionally tapes boxes before they are filled, as needed.
  • Completes order information by labeling boxes for shipping materials.
  • Fill out quality control sheets for all specs.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
  • Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
  • Sewing experience is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent if studied in a different province or country)
  • Basic knowledge of Fabrics
  • Some knowledge of sewing techniques
  • Some knowledge of reading specification sheets and engineer drawings
  • Experience using a computer including an ERP system to scan in and out of work orders.

  • Using all hazard controls and wearing personal protection equipment designated or provided by the employer or required by the OHS legislation.
  • Refraining from causing or participating in harassment and violence.
  • Reporting health and safety concerns and conditions to their employer or supervisor.
  • Participating in any training provided by the employer.
  • Cooperating with any person exercising a duty under the OHS legislation.
  • Communication with their colleagues, supervisors, and managers.
  • Prepping equipment prior to inspection.
  • Verifying dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers, other precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform first article inspections on all product runs.
  • Perform final quality inspection and dimensional inspection, verification of marking of manufactured parts and components.
  • Verify MTR heat numbers as defined on manufacturing travelers.
  • Initiate Nonconformance reports (NCRs) for all parts that do not meet requirements.
  • Identify and segregate NCR parts.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the NCR Area as required, and ensure parts are identified.
  • Identify tools requiring calibration and perform calibration of measurement tools.
  • Maintain emails, perform photocopying and printing.
  • Responsible to identify needs for consumables.


Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience

  • Demonstrate understanding of parts drawings and GD&T.
  • 2+ Years in a similar role.
  • 2+ Years experience in a machining or assembly shop environment.
  • Demonstrate experience using a variety of hand inspection tools.
  • Experience with specialized measuring instruments preferred, such as:
    • Surface Finish Gauge,
    • Wall Thickness Gauge.
  • CMM is preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate basic computer skills (MS Office).
