- Prepare plaster models and moulds from dental impressions

- Finish metal framework of dentures and polish and buff dentures to obtain natural finish
- Zirconia recovery

Requirement:
- CDT/RDT license preferred but not required

WCS Canada is affiliated with global WCS programs in more than 60 countries, and we are active at the science-policy interface in Canada and internationally. This RFP is issued by WCS Canadas Ontario Northern Boreal program, active since 2004 in the far north. As one of the few organizations with a continuous scientific presence in the region, we lead field-based research on large mammals, freshwater fish, and peatlands; co-develop programs with First Nations; collaborate with academic, government, and Indigenous researchers; and contribute to policy development to guide conservation decisions. 2.0 Contracting opportunity WCS Canada producing a report summarizing multiple years of freshwater ecological data that has been collected on the water quality, water chemistry, fish contaminants, and benthic invertebrates in northern boreal rivers in Ontario. We are seeking proposals (RFP) from qualified individuals or groups to support the completion of this report. We are requesting that individuals or groups submit a proposal outlining their qualifications, relevant experience, and proposed approach to conducting a literature review and statistical analyses of previously collected data. This work will inform and support the creation of a comprehensive and useful summary report by WCS Canada that outlines the status and trends in these northern boreal rivers. 3.0 Proposal Administration All requests for clarification and questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing no later than 5 September 2025 via email to Brianna Kim, Finance and Administrative Manager (indicate Freshwater Literature Review and Data Analysis on the subject line). Responses, if determined appropriate by WCS Canada, will be issued in writing to all known proposers. Proposals, plus attachments, are to be submitted in e-form to: Brianna Kim, Finance and Administrative Manager, WCS Canada may request an interview of any proposer (vendor). Such a request for an interview does not constitute a contract award. **Position Summary**
We are looking for a **Lab Technician** based at our **London Ice Cream Factory,** reporting into the **Quality Assurance Supervisor.** This role is part of the Quality Assurance team and will be responsible to perform various lab analyses, document results, and contribute to a safe and quality product for our consumers.
**A day in the life of a Lab Technician:**
- Follow all job-related guidelines and procedures for personal safety, food safety, environment and company security (including but not limited to use of PPE’s, Hazard Analysis, chemical spills, recycling …) as required. Be a role model for Quality and GMP’s.
- Work in a manner that provides maximum safety to yourself and your fellow associates
- Follow NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence) principles
- Perform routine lab analysis and QA duties following the Quality procedures and standards including:
- Analyze samples, including micro plating and chemical analysis
- Document results (e.g. in SAP) and organize test results for records review and analysis
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment, including housekeeping, cleaning, and 5S
- Perform daily records review of raw material, in-process, and finished product quality data
- Responsible for the release of materials meeting quality specifications
- Perform test on pre-operational microbiological samples, review test results, coordinate any corrective actions, and manage test data
- Communicate results to other departments within factory
- Responsible for blocking of any product that does not meet quality specifications
- Work with other departments to initiate corrective actions and conduct root cause investigations
- Responsible for sensory panels and any other sensory-related duties
- Adhere to Quality Monitoring Scheme (QMS) and put corrective action in place in case of deviation.
- Responsible for managing, updating and ensuring synergy between SAP, DMO and QMS.
- Responsible for tasks associated with compliance to Nestle internal standards, as well as external standards
- Know and adhere to GMP’s to prevent product contamination with foreign materials, bacteria or allergens;
- Champion a non-negotiable attitude for Quality and Safety
- Other duties as assigned by management.
**What will make you successful?**
- B.Sc. in biology, microbiology, Chemistry, nutrition or science/food related field or a College diploma in science/food related field
- Relevant work experience in a laboratory environment
- Experience in analytical methods and have the ability to accurately perform various physical, chemical and microbiological testing.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to effectively communicate within the department and with other departments via emails, in person, or on the phone.
- Great attention to details is a must. Any failure can pose risks to Quality or Food Safety.
- Ability to effectively work with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Outlook, Excel).
- Ability to carry out jobs/tasks with minimum supervision.
- Independent decision-making ability and possess good organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in the team environment.
- SAP knowledge will be an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform & AI tools is an asset

Education, Experience, and Skills:
- 3 years previous lab experience required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- High school diploma required. BSc preferred.
- Customer service experience is an asset.

- Reliable attendance.
- Demonstration of solid decision making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a good command of the English language is mandatory.

We currently, we have an opening for a Technician, Sample Preparation - Afternoons
The Sample Preparation Technician is responsible for completing duties for Sample Preparation (SP).
Sample Preparation Technicians are responsible for the preparation of the solutions to be used during smoking, preparation of impingers, ice baths and other glassware and equipment where applicable. Sample Preparation Technicians are responsible for ensuring that all applicable equipment is verified/calibrated prior to use. Sample Preparation Technicians are responsible for preparing samples in compliance with the published SOP’s and Test Methods.
SP Technicians are required to complete duties of both sample preparation and sample generation where required in co-operation with their team. After smoking, the SP Technician extracts the samples and, where applicable, dilutes samples, breaks down samples (digesting) using microwave, and loads samples on the instruments used in their analysis.All SP Technicians are responsible for the cleanliness, organization and upkeep of the laboratory in order to maintain a good working environment. This includes (but is not limited to) neutralizing and discarding of acid waste, as well as disposing of chlorinated and non-chlorinated waste. All procedures must be carried out according to applicable SOPs/Test Methods or other Quality Controlled documentation and/or training.
A SP Technician involved in the conduct of a GLP study must be knowledgeable in those parts of the Principles of GLP, which are applicable to their involvement in the study. SP Technicians will have access to the Study Plan and appropriate SOPs applicable to their involvement in the study. It is the SP Technician’s responsibility to comply with the instructions given in these documents. Any deviation from these instructions should be documented and communicated directly to the Study Director, and/or, if appropriate, the Principal Investigator(s). A SP Technician is responsible for recording raw data promptly and accurately and in compliance with the Principles of GLP, and is responsible for the quality of the data.
The SP Technician should exercise health precautions to minimize risk to her/himself and to ensure the integrity of the study. He/she should communicate to the appropriate person any relevant known health or medical condition in order that they can be excluded from operations that may affect the study. SP Technicians have a duty to follow Health and Safety responsibilities as outlined in SFM-007.
Primary responsibilities of the job:
- Transferring samples to flasks (i.e. removal of pad from pad holder, appropriate
- impinger rinses, spiking of samples, transferring to flasks, cleaning of pad holder)
- End of shift clean-up, glassware cleaning
- Preparation of solutions, ice baths, glassware etc…
- Preparation of flasks (i.e./ appropriate rinses, and labeling)
- Transferring samples from flasks to autosampler vials (decant or filter)
- Shaking of samples on lateral or wrist-action shaker (where applicable)
- Labeling of vials
- Loading samples on instruments (where applicable)
- Daily Safety Inspections and stretching
- General maintenance and upkeep
- Sonicate, evaporate, centrifuge samples according with the Test Method
- Verification of lab equipment as required (i.e. pipettors, dispensers and syringes)
- The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance with existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, Study Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Chemistry related program preferred
- Minimum 2 year Chemistry related diploma program, or University program with Laboratory experience preferred
