Description:

  • Prepare plaster models and moulds from dental impressions
  • Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
  • Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
  • Mould wax over denture set-up to form full contours of artificial gums
  • Finish metal framework of dentures and polish and buff dentures to obtain natural finish
  • Zirconia recovery
  • Zirconia pre-stain
  • Wire bender for basic appliances
  • Teeth set-up (excluding final waxing or festooning)


Requirement:

  • CDT/RDT license preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of wire bending experience
  • Strong knowledge of orthodontic appliances and their functionality
  • Ability to multitask and make quick decisions
  • Must be independent and self-sufficient
  • Able to keep up with a fast-paced operation
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent time management andattention to detail

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for providing administrative support to the entire clinic, including but not limited to: registering patients, answering phone, booking appointments, following up on consults and test results and other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient collection, handling and processing of specimens in accordance to the clinic procedures
  • Provides assistance to doctors and allied health providers
  • Other laboratory and administrative duties related to clinic operations
  • Maintains and organizes laboratory/clinic equipment and supplies

Requirements :

  • Completed an accredited MLA/OSMT/CSMLS certification is required
  • Current enrolment in a recognized program for Medical Laboratory technology may also be considered
  • Administrative or customer service experience, including in a non-medical field is considered an asset
  • Proficient in computer/knowledge of EMR is an asset
  • Ability to work at multiple locations is considered an asset

What Will You Do?

Your role will be to perform testing and duties in support of the Quality Labs.
More specifically, you will:

Perform lab technician duties (including but not limited to: testing, quality checks, durability tests, summary of findings, data entry, generating SPC charts, submitting shift reports, placing materials on hold)

Utilize various laboratory equipment and tools to ensure that a multitude of secure documents and their constituent components meet specific product specifications and standards through verification and durability testing.

Help maintain the laboratory and its equipment - employ 5S principles to ensure a clean, well-organized and safe environment that is tour-worthy at all times; coordinate calibration and certification of laboratory equipment and manufacturing measuring devices.

Learn, grow and develop your knowledge and skills so you can identify opportunities for improvement and propose process improvements that will positively impact quality levels and increase efficiencies.

Ability to work various shifts (Evenings, Nights) is mandatory.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have experience within a lab environment (print, pulp & paper, pharmaceutical, healthcare), be technologically savvy, detail-oriented, curious and have an interest in quality. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.

Knowledge/Experience

• High level of proficiency in Office 365 (specifically Excel and Word);
• Previous experience in statistical analysis (basic level) is an asset, but not required.
• Previous experience in technical writing is an asset, but not required.
• Previous experience in quality control is an asset, but not required;
• Previous experience in the print industry is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and assemble custom test benches using aluminum framing, integrating ECUs, accessories, and wiring.
  • Perform initial functional checks and basic hardware troubleshooting.
  • Optimize lab space, planning for equipment growth, power distribution, and robust cable management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
  • Manage lab inventory and proactively replenish parts.
  • Act as the primary contact for lab equipment and infrastructure needs.
  • Gather requirements, initiate and track orders with IT and hardware distribution teams.
  • Provide regular updates to the team on project status, potential roadblocks, and estimated completion times.

Essential Skills

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar lab, assembly, or technical support role.
  • Proven experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, and wiring, preferably in an automotive or electronics lab setting.

Laboratory Technician, Seed Operations

Location: Lethbridge County, AB

About the Role


We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our seed operations team. This role involves processing treated seed samples on the plant floor, supporting quality assurance, and assisting with seed handling and warehouse operations. Full training will be provided, but prior experience with seed processing, QA, or sampling is an asset.

You must be comfortable using computers (Excel, Outlook) and working in a fast-paced industrial environment with rotating shifts.


Key Responsibilities


  • Process and analyze treated seed samples
  • Perform tasks associated with harvest, conditioning, treating, packaging, warehousing, and shipping
  • Operate forklifts safely for shipping/receiving and seed movement (training available if no prior experience)
  • Maintain accurate records (quality, safety, inventory, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality plans


  • September–October: Receive, weigh, and unload seed trucks; process and treat seed; supply conditioning lines
  • November–March: Label, tag, bag, and palletize seed; enter inventory data; stage seed for shipping
  • April–August: Retag and re-bag seed, inspect and wash pro boxes, manage returned seed


Schedule & Shifts

  • Day Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
  • Evening Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
  • Rotating every 2 weeks (must be available for both)
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak seasons


Required:

  • High School Diploma (mandatory for permanent opportunities)
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions
  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty environments

**We are currently hiring a Temporary Lab Technician to join the team at our Goderich Plant facility in Goderich, Ontario.**
Compass Minerals' Goderich Plant has operated since 1867, after an unsuccessful search for oil uncovered a vast bed of rock salt under Goderich. Using mechanical evaporation, the plant produces high-purity, fine- and coarse-grained salt products in packages and in bulk for commercial, agricultural and industrial applications. The plant also packages rock salt from the mine that is used for deicing and water conditioning.
Goderich is named Canada's Prettiest Town and is best known for its stunning sunsets. Goderich is a lakeside community of 8,000 people located approximately 1.5 hours from London and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.
**How will you contribute to the team?**
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following
+ Perform quality control tests on all samples received each day as per the Lab Tests document.
+ Perform daily and weekly testing on well water and plant effluent and environmental issues as required.
+ Inform the QA Supervisor in a timely manner when lab supplies and chemicals are required.
+ Ensure all food and animal grade products are meeting specification prior to release.
+ Enter all data generated from testing and send reports as required.
+ Prepare all chemical solutions as required.

+ Inform Warehouse Supervisor(s) when products do not meet specification and ensure re-samples are obtained, retested, and results communicated to the Supervisor.
+ Assist with document review and procedure writing for Plant HACCP Plan.

+ Act as back-up to the QA Supervisor on holidays.
+ Perform general housekeeping duties in the laboratory.
+ In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor as dictated by business necessity.
