• Automating the creation of common scenarios, such as optimizing warehouse locations (deleting or adding warehouses) in a dynamic and globally applicable way.

• Combine data science with supply chain knowledge to adapt to available data.
• Develop heuristics to accelerate NP-hard network design models that currently take days to run.
• The goal is to automate the running of hundreds of models in the background to provide possible improvements without manual intervention.
• Supply Chain Analysis:
• Normalize historical data (3-5 years) to reflect the supply chain accurately, removing anomalies like strikes.
• Identify when and why the real supply chain deviates from the plan (root cause analysis).
• Analyze bottlenecks in the supply chain.
• Find "general insights" that analysts might not know to look for, such as unexpected correlations between events across different parts of the supply chain (e.g., promotions in Luxembourg causing stockouts in Spain). This requires creative thinking beyond simple correlation due to the complexity and temporal aspects of the global supply chain.
• Identify trends where things are operating outside of normal parameters for any KPI or action in the supply chain

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python and PySpark.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with business units and vendors.
• Data Science: Strong expertise in developing supervised and unsupervised ML models, with knowledge of time series and demand forecasting being a plus.

**EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION**

+ Familiarity with API technologies or frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI and AzureML Online Endpoints.
+ Basic understanding of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.
+ Interest in MLOps practices and tools.
+ Foundational knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts, including predictive and generative AI.

**Job Description:**
**CUSTOMER**
+ Leverage deep technology expertise for own area of specialization to deliver and ensure that all areas across the organization that provision, manage, and support various technologies have the necessary tools, processes and documentation required to effectively execute on their respective mandates.
+ Execute on Engineering strategy as it relates to the introduction of tools and the automation of build, test, release and configure activities across Application, Platform and Infrastructure. Partner with the Operations team to automatically integrate with appropriate tools and processes as part of automated/self-serve Application, Platform, or Infrastructure releases.
+ Work with partners across Technology and apply in-depth understanding of relevant business needs to identify and leverage synergies across the various areas.
+ Act as the expert or lead innovator and agent of change for the programs and services under management.
+ Work with other teams to implement best practices for engineering and management and serve as an ambassador for ML Engineering.
+ Work with vendor platform providers and engineering peers to keep abreast of trends, products, frameworks, and applications.
+ Identify and effectively manage stakeholder engagement and impacts across the enterprise.
+ Interpret client needs, assess engineering related requirements, and identify solutions to non-standard requests.
