The manufacturing operator is responsible for the manufacture of solid oral dosage form using specialized equipment by transforming raw materials into finished product, according to established procedures.
Responsabilities & duties
- Prepare rooms and equipment for weighing ingredients and manufacturing according to the procedures in force
- Perform all manufacturing operations (weighing, mixing, granulation, drying, compression, encapsulation and embedding)
- Perform weighing
- SAP transaction
- In-process testing (weight, hardness, thickness, disintegration, LOD, etc.)
- Complete production records, document and count, calculate yield, justify rejected quantities
- When required, clean equipment and rooms used or to be used
- Participate in writing and updating work instructions
- Act as a trainer if necessary
- Apply current safety standards, GMP and internal regulations
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Good mechanical skills
- Autonomous and ability to work in a team

- Set up, operate, and adjust machines
- Check product quality and adjust as necessary
- Clean and sanitize machinery, equipment and main processing area
- Observe gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to ensure correct processing
- Maintain shift logs and record of other data
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, Company Joint Health & Safety Programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Actively participate in, and report all Health & Safety/Quality issues to Shift Supervisor/QA
