What youll do:
Contract Management:
- Manage the contract lifecycle from intake to execution and archiving
- Maintain and optimize our CLM system (e.g., LinkSquares)
- Track renewal deadlines and key contract terms
Process & Compliance Support:
- Implement and maintain legal workflows, playbooks, and SOPs
- Assist with compliance efforts (e.g., export control, privacy regulations like GDPR/CCPA, open source usage)
- Support audits and internal documentation needs
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as the legal teams liaison with finance, product, sales, engineering, and HR
- Support commercial insurance renewal cycle to ensure adequate limits, pricing and appropriate policies are in place to support the business
IP and Corporate Work:
- Support IP filings and patent/trademark coordination
- Help track patent, trademark and other IP registrations
- Maintain corporate governance and subsidiary management records
Tooling and Data:
- Fully integrate Contract Lifecycle Management software (LinkSquares) into business processes
- Monitor and report on legal team KPIs and OKRs
What were looking for:
- Bachelors degree or paralegal certificate
- 4+ years of experience in legal operations, paralegal work, or legal project management
- Experience in a startup or tech company (hardware or software) preferred
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management and document management tools
- Exposure to privacy, product compliance, or IP law
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving environments
- Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include criminal/civil background checks

Primary Objective(s):
The Legal Research Analyst position is primarily responsible for analyzing legal information in Westlaw Canada and working with Product Management to determine how to better leverage that information for legal researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying relationships among legal information sets
- Conducting significant core legal research to identify critical legal authority on specific issues
- Making fine-grain, qualitative judgments of legal content
- Monitoring performance of new products and enhancements through testing and grading evaluations
- Collaborating with team members and internal stakeholders to better leverage key legal research information
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- French Language needed
- JLL.B or J.D. degree required
- Admission to bar preferred
- 1–3 years of legal experience preferred
- Strong legal research skills with experience using Westlaw and other legal research tools
- Ability to interpret, analyse, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately
- Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a quickly changing environment
- Ability to work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
The pay rate that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $25-$28hr CAD
