The Line Operator, under the direction of the Supervisor, will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the mulch line as required, producing a clean, quality product; maintaining machines and cleanliness of plant; ensuring safety, including regulatory, awareness of all equipment and operations.


Looking for Candidates:

  • Hiring for 12-hour shifts. Dayshift, Afternoon Shift and Nightshift.
  • 4 on 4 off schedule
  • Applicants will receive an additional premium on top of their hourly rate when working the following shifts.


Wages:

  • Starting Wage is 19.85 per hour to Start.
  • After 3 months 20.60 per hour.
  • After 6 months 21.75 per hour


Responsibilities:

  • Rubber Product bagging station operation
  • Packages material under given parameters
  • Tags all products accurately and properly and places in the designated areas
  • Ensures all equipment is kept clean in the work area
  • Reports any problems to supervisor immediately
  • Communicate with manager/employees before the shift to determine any issues
  • Performs all functions according to proper company safety practices and regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous labor experience is preferred
  • Class 5 Drivers License and must have own means of transportation

THE POSITION

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections and quality control.
  • Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals using direct reading, gauges, rulers, scales and calipers.

We run our operations 24/7 with a variety of shifts. All applicants must be able to work the morning, afternoon shift and graveyard shifts. Shift Schedules changes may occur with 48 hours notice due to operational need. Applicants will receive an additional premium on top of their hourly rate when working the following shifts:


  • Afternoon shift incentive start time is between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. The premium is 0.50 per hour.
  • Evening/Night shift incentive start time is between 6:00PM 12:00AM/midnight. The premium is 1.50 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Maintenance & Line Operator (Hybrid Role) is responsible for both the operation of production lines and the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of plant machinery and equipment. This position supports safe and efficient production by operating and monitoring machinery, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and safely operating mobile equipment such as forklifts and front-end loaders.

The role ensures that production targets are met, equipment is kept in optimal condition, and all work is completed in compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Production Line Operation

  • Inspect tires for rocks, steel, tubes, studs, and thickness, separating those unsuitable for the shredder.
  • Monitor equipment operation, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with fellow employees, lead hands, and supervisors.

Maintenance & Repair

  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions or irregularities.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, and part replacement.
  • Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and minor repairs.
  • Follow proper Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out (LOTOTO) procedures when performing maintenance or cleaning.
  • Report equipment issues promptly and assist maintenance team members as required.

Material Handling & Equipment Operation

  • Operate forklift to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Operate front-end loader for moving and stockpiling materials.
  • Perform pre-use inspections on forklifts and loaders, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Adhere to all site safety procedures and policies at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and surrounding zones.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Other Duties

  • Support other plant operations and production activities as required.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Valid forklift certification and operational experience.
  • Previous front-end loader experience is an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with maintenance assistance.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • First Aid Certificate (OFA Level 1) preferred.

Work Conditions

  • Onsite role in a plant/yard environment.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Interaction with employees, management, and external vendors.
