We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee carbon fiber manufacturing operations. This organization is revolutionizing carbon fiber and nanofiber production through sustainable, low-emission processes. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of carbon fiber production lines during assigned shifts

The Opportunity
As a Deputy Line Handling Supervisor, you willbe responsible for safely and efficiently handling mooring lines to secure ships during berthing and unberthing operations. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safety of vessels and personnel. Preference will be given to local candidates in the Kitimat and surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Direct and supervise mooring line handling crew in the proper execution of mooring operations, including preparing and deploying mooring lines, securing ships, and adjusting line tensions as needed
- Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations during line handling operations, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections to promote a safe work environment
- Maintain clear and effective communication between mooring crews, bridge crews, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and coordinated mooring activities
- Provide training, guidance, and support to mooring line handlers, ensuring they are skilled and knowledgeable in safe line handling practices and emergency procedures
- Oversee the maintenance and inspection of mooring equipment including mooring lines, bollards, cleats, and related equipment, and ensure adequate supplies are available for operations
- Coordinate and schedule mooring crew shifts and assignments to ensure adequate coverage for 24/7 mooring operations, including on-call availability for emergencies

- Address operational challenges, solve conflicts, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure efficient and safe mooring operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in ship mooring operations or maritime roles
- On-job training may be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and handling heavy mooring lines and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills to coordinate with bridge crews, port personnel and fellow line handlers
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for maritime operations with a focus on preventing accidents and injuries
- Keen attention to detail to ensure mooring lines are properly secured and maintained
- Additional certificates or training in line handling, maritime safety or related areas may be required
- MED-DVS / Radio Operator Certificate
- Ability to work flexible hours and rotation schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operations may operate on a 24/7 schedule

Cable Assembly and Repair
- Keep track of hours for cable personnel
- Performs various types of soldering including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering.
- Assemble and repair cable as well as manage cable assembly for on-time completion of orders.
- Consults production schedule to prepare work area and equipment.
- Train new full-time and temporary cable personnel as required.
- Identify problems and help improve processes.
- Ensure that orders are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure that company deadlines are met.
System Management
- Maintain, edit, and complete production orders.
- Inform the Operations Manager of any errors in Bill of Materials.
Parts Inventory
- Maintain accurate parts inventory for all components related to cable assembly and repair in our system.

Shipping and Receiving

Job Summary
In this role, you will support daily operations, including troubleshooting, increasing operational effectiveness and efficiency of production unit. Be responsible to ensure the plant provides maximum unit availability in a safe and economical manner by providing support to plant personnel using available resources, by interfacing/coordinating with Supply Chain and S4H data owner and by helping to identify employee development opportunities and participating in operator training/certifications.

- Complete granulation process orders and consume WIP use

**Position:**
**Supervisor, Manufacturing (Pharmaceutical)**
**Department:**
**Production/Manufacturing**
**Schedule:**
**Rotation**
(two weeks 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; two weeks 3:30 pm - 12:00 am)
In this role, you be responsible for the leadership and supervision of a team of manufacturing employees, while driving business results by engaging, mentoring and coaching a high-performing team.
**The must-haves**
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a regulated manufacturing industry (required)
Post-secondary education in a related science field is required (required)
Experience in people development, decision-making and conflict resolution
Planning and organizational skills with high process-orientation
Ability to quickly adapt and redirect priorities in a fast-paced environment
Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to supervise with a Safety First attitude.
Continuous improvement mindset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP is an asset)
**As a people leader, you will**
Lead, develop and coach your team to high performance levels
Recognize individual and team successes
Train and develop manufacturing employees while ensuring all training requirements are compliant with cGMP and Safety regulations
Address performance issues promptly and effectively
**From the technical aspect, you will**
Plan and coordinate the manufacturing activities to effectively drive production
Assist in development and planning of processes and schedules
Provide timely technical advice and guidance to manufacturing employees
Assist and support the development of continuous improvement strategies
Assist in the investigation process
