As our Shipping & Receiver , youll be responsible for ensuring all finished product is properly packed for shipping. As the work varies from day-to-day, our candidate must have a professional work ethic, ability to adapt to change, and strong problem-solving skills. You are the last point of contact for every single sign that leaves our warehouse. Your organization and ability to understand the job at hand is crucial.

Duties & Expectations:

• 
  Skilled wood worker, responsible for cutting, building custom crates, banding skids, shrink wrapping, and labeling finished projects for shipment.
• 
  Final inspection of products before they are shipped.
• 
  Assist in trailer loading and securing.
• 
  Assist with yard maintenance, waste management, and general shop labour.
• 
  Consistently demonstrate sound safety practices, and host the ability to lift up to approx. 50 lbs.
• 
  Effectively manage time to ensure on-time delivery of every project.
• 
  Tickets to operate a skidsteer, telehandler, and forklift.
• 
  Ability to drive with a trailer is an asset.
• 
  Mature driver. Experience driving 1 ton and towing trailers.
• 
  Must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy & flexible.

Qualifications:

**POSITION SUMMARY**
Receive, unload, and process deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports. Stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department. Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs. Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy. Receive, store, ship, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail. Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of packages. Follow all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations. Ship all out-going mail and packages. Verify quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to guest. Communicate with guest regarding received packages. Maintain accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving guest signatures for received packages. Communicate with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign, and dispatch driver for delivery, pickup, or disposal
• Validate material/equipment and order picklist availability
• Ensure warehouse is organized to support receiving, storing, and shipments of product
• Maintain manhours per logistic vehicles and equipment for payroll allocation
• Identify damaged, obsolete, or excess products/equipment/tools and arrange for disposal or sale
• Loading inventory and equipment on trucks for delivery to job-sites
• Lead and provide year end physical inventory count

• Construction experience is an asset
• Strong computer skills, efficiency in all MS Office applications

The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing.

**Shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm 5-6 days a week**

**Primary Responsibilities:**

- Receive incoming shipments in a timely fashion, properly date code and labeled.
- Inspect shipment(s) for quality and count.
- Entering invoices accurately into the computer program.
- Report any product quality issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Properly rotate product according to size, date and quantity.
- Operate forklift to transport around the warehouse.
- Promptly organize warehouse so that all similar product is grouped together.
