The Opportunity:
Each December, YSM hosts an exciting Christmas Toy Market that serves over 2,000 community members. Families are able to select new toys for their children in an atmosphere that is dignified, joyful, and welcoming.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator - Toy Market to Lead the planning and successfuldelivery of this cherished annual December event. The Project Coordinator will coordinateand oversee the Toy Markets successful execution from planning through to post-eventreporting. Working alongside staff, volunteers, donors, and community participants, thisshort-term role ensures the Toy Market is organized, welcoming, and efficient.
This position is a short-term, 3-month contract (35 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing all aspects of the Toy Market to ensure smooth operations in its
entirety including logistics, scheduling, setup and cleanup, toy organization, and inventory
management. - Coordinating volunteers and staff, ensuring clear communication and effective teamwork
among all stakeholders and participants. - Liaising with donors, corporate and church groups, and YSM departments to ensure
resources meet event needs. - Supporting families and community participants during the Toy Market to have a welcoming
and positive experience. - Maintain accurate records and documentation to support the Toy Market.
- Document outcomes and compiling a post-event report.
Qualifications:
- 12 years of experience in event coordination, community programming, or a related field.
- Strong project planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and
deadlines. - Experience working with volunteers and community members in a multicultural setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with families, volunteers, donors, and
staff. - Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
- Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal commitment to YSMs mission, principles, faith-based values, and Christian identity.
- Ability to lift and move boxes/bags of toys and assist with event setup/teardown.
- Project management certification/qualification/experience will be considered an asset.
Compensation: YSM offers market competitive rates and will pay $24.00 an hour for this contracted role.

As a core member of our Local Operations Team, you will work with our Market Leader and execute delivery operations as we scale Rinse Toronto. You will help ensure that customer orders meet our high standards of cleaning quality, are prepared for delivery, and are delivered on time by our delivery drivers. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible to work with Procurement and Supply Chain colleagues. Manage and maintain vendor information to ensure integrity of data to support accuracy in Purchase order placement by the Procurement team. This role is responsible for vendor data management and supports the team in day to day Supply Chain requirements.
Essential Functions:
u2022 Assist the Vendor Change Specialist with vendor initiated change controls
u2022 Maintain a central file with vendor information
u2022 Request technical and regulatory documents from vendors
u2022 Monitor and track adherence to inclusion of quality documents adherence upon incoming receipt and required changes
u2022 Issue purchase orders for zero value sample requests
u2022 Initiate and manage material transfers (internal and inter-site)
u2022 Liaise between site Compliance and Vendors as required
u2022 Maintain vendor terms and conditions, requesting updates though the payables team
u2022 Maintain procurement, planning and warehouse parameter information for direct materials
u2022 Initiate claims due to damage with carriers
u2022 Other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required
Working towards College Diploma or University Degree in Supply Chain
Experience:
Requires no previous related experience.
Equivalency:
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Detail oriented and organized, with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
Good/Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Works well and efficiently with limited supervision. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Proficiency with the English Language.

Physical Requirements:
Light physical effort and fatigue. Walks, sits or stands for limited periods. May require occasional equipment operation including keyboard equipment. Lifts light items for limited duration. Typically located in a comfortable indoor area.
There may be exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator occasionally.
