Freight Forwarding Sales Executive


Fuze Logistics Services has recently expanded its services and is looking for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive who has a passion for sales, building relationships and strong communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for prospecting, engaging and closing new accounts, along with building and maintaining relationships with a customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with customers and generate new business.
  • Turn on that ability to tap into global opportunities while working alongside freight forwarding experts.
  • Form a customer base by establishing communication with prospective clients, understanding their supply chain needs and building out proposals to meet their requirements.
  • Solicit our clients services which include Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Ocean Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage
  • Meet and surpass monthly goals and objectives.
  • Maintain consistent communication with our clients Operations/Customer Service Departments.


Desired Experience:

  • 3-5 years in logistics/freight sales.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly and work efficiently to meet productivity goals.
  • Good organizational skills as this position requires working with multiple departments and following up with clients and prospects.
  • Proficient in CRM (Salesforce) is a plus!

If you’re recently graduated, or in the early stages of your career, this is a great opportunity expand your skills, and build your career with a terrific group of people.   Logistics Coordinator   As our new logistics coordinator, you’ll be an essential part of our team, handling all our shipping and receiving duties, as well as providing logistics and administrative support to the service department.    This position calls for a problem solver who is detail-oriented, loves a challenge, has terrific communication skills and who can handle multiple competing priorities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all logistical details are communicated across multiple departments, so nothing slips through the cracks.   We are a small team that understands that everything is everyone’s job, so when you’re not working on shipments, or helping with receiving, you’ll take care of all logistics for our service department, including preparing shipping documents, tracking, and updating service tickets.   On a practical level, you’ll perform the following tasks:   * Coordinate and track all shipments, and supply BOL’s and any other required shipping paperwork * Ensure proper paperwork is completed by the team and provided to all parties such as Custom Brokers, Transportation Companies and Accounting Department * Determine best shipping procedures, rates, and routes * Track and update service tickets, as well as incoming and outgoing shipments * Prepare dangerous goods documentation, quotes, and purchase orders * Provide weekly service and shipping/receiving updates to the leadership team.       Working @ Radcomm Systems   This is a full-time permanent position, working out of our Oakville head office. Directly responsible to the Manager, Packing, Shipping and Receiving. Must communicate with Scheduler, Sales, Shipping/Receiving, Packaging, and all other plant personnel. Functionally responsible for material being shipped and received as per customer requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator are detailed below, but not limited to the following:

  • Ship all orders that are available for shipment on time
  • Prepare and record shipments as required in computer system, and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents. Record applicable data in the system as required as well as shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Schedule truck loads and routes based on most optimal mode
  • Filing transportation claims
  • Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates shipment status
  • Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy on shipping
  • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipment.
  • Compile carrier and route assignments.
  • Participates in continuous improvement training and trains others
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • Post-secondary education preferred, Grade 12 mandatory
  • 1-3 years of experience in Shipping/ Transportation/3PL/LTL
  • 3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, and import/export operations experience

Technical Skills/Competence

  • Must have good command of English, written & oral
  • Must have good telephone presence and manners
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office a must
  • Must have knowledge of freight class/ harmonization coding
  • CTPAT, PAP, CWPCP and USMCA knowledge an asset
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding/route planning/manifest maintenance

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Logistics Coordinator at Van Beeks handles aspects of the day-to-day delivery and inventory management of the company including scheduling deliveries, customer service, ability to multitask and utilizing exceptional time management skills.


Duties and Responsibilities include:

Organization and execution of daily deliveries.
Schedule logistics utilizing external and internal sources for delivery, as well as to our valued customers.
Route builder - LTR (load truck route) or PTL (partial truck load) pairing documents together.
Planner - sending drivers out on a route.
Communicate with and dispatch drivers, co-workers and customers.
Ensure all inventory required for Delivery or Pick up is in the yard in a timely manner.
Ensure order correctness prior to shipping.
Forwards documents to the customer as required.
General office duties, as required.
Liaison with vendors/suppliers as required.
Setting up Purchase Orders.
Fulfill product once it's delivered
Pulling all online orders.
Maintain all required documentation for the fleet
Manage content for the Logistics System
Identify potential system/process improvements
Coordinate with mechanics for required truck maintenance or repairs
Ability to work with NetSuite/Oracle or ECI Spruce software (an asset).
Represent Van Beeks Landscape Supply in a professional manner in all situations.
10 hour shifts, including Saturdays for Spring/early Summer, when required. Extra hours during peak season.
