The Logistics Manager / Senior Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing and improving our client's transportation strategy, route optimization, and fleet operations to ensure cost-effective, timely, and safe delivery of goods to retail locations, warehouses, and customers. This role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and operational oversight in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic transportation plans that align with business goals.
  • Oversee daily logistics operations including route planning, delivery scheduling, and load optimization.
  • Utilize routing software and GPS tracking systems to improve delivery efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
  • Monitor real-time delivery performance and proactively resolve delays or issues.
  • Manage the company-owned or leased vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with all safety, regulatory, and maintenance standards.
  • Schedule and track routine fleet maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Supervise transportation team, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
  • Track KPIs including on-time delivery, cost per mile, delivery accuracy, and fuel usage.
  • Other as required
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet management (preferably in a retail or distribution environment).
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record in reducing logistics costs and improving delivery performance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
Salary range: 95-110,000

We are looking for a dynamic Logistics representative to join our team, blending operational expertise with attention to details. In this role, you will oversee container dispatch operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and on-time deliveries. Beyond managing day-to-day logistics, you will leverage your data analysis skills to generate performance reports and support process improvements. Qualifications

Key Tasks  

  • Support vendors calling and emailing Logistics team for instructions and guidance.
  • Assist in securing capacity to move containers by truck based on Logistics needs.
  • Take responsibility for scheduling and dispatching trucking resources.
  • Ensure that all deliveries are completed on time and as per MSC requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist the finance department to review & approve invoices associated with trucking.

Skills and Experience 

  • 2 years of experience in a logistics environment (preferably dispatching), or similar role in a related industry.
  • University education required (Supply chain considered an asset).
  • Advanced Microsoft and Excel skills with an ability to expand capabilities.
  • Experience working with a customer relationship system (CRM).
  • Effective communication & strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Bilingual (English & French) an asset.

  • Experience identifying when supply chain partners or internal system issues are causing service delays and making recommendations to resolve.
  • Experience working with heavyweight LTL delivery experience an asset.
  • Experience working in Retail is an asset.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support our expanding Vancouver operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective logistics operations in line with our global service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor the domestic and international movement of goods, including FCL, LCL, air, and truck shipments.
Coordinate and complete the logistics process cycle, from documentation preparation, shipment coordination, tracking, and delivery to payment collection, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance throughout.
Compile customer orders and instructions, develop prioritized work plans, organize tasks accordingly, and prepare worksheets, order specifications, and progress reports; track and complete work orders and follow up on any issues to ensure timely execution.
Identify and engage appropriate carriers and service providers according to transportation mode requirements; manage contract terms, pricing, and conduct performance evaluations while proactively mitigating potential operational risks.
Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations and dispatch personnel as required by operational or emergency situations.
Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to facilitate shipment clearance and on-time delivery.
Support GPS-enabled shipment tracking, cargo insurance processing, and door-to-door delivery services to enhance logistics efficiency.
Maintain and update accurate logistics records, and shipment tracking through online systems and internal tools.
Maintain and update accurate client records, segment client groups based on service needs, and implement tailored logistics solutions to improve service quality and satisfaction.
Support the planning and execution of logistics projects by managing resources, timelines, costs, and risks to ensure seamless delivery and project success; responsibilities also include project management tasks such as arranging staff training and coordinating, assigning, and reviewing work.
Provide excellent customer service and technical logistics support, troubleshoot operational issues, and recommend continuous process improvements.
Keep track of shipments and ensure compliance with cross-border dispatching regulations, highway trucking rules, and other relevant transportation policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
At least a Bachelors degree.
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, international freight forwarding, or a related industry.
Solid knowledge of multimodal transportation (air, ocean, truck, and rail) and international shipping procedures.
Familiarity with customs documentation and compliance requirements.
Proficient in logistics software, inventory management systems, and MS Office.
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and online shipment monitoring tools.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of transactions across multiple trade lanes, with multinational parties (warehouse, trading parties, truckers, shipping lines).
Flexibility under different situations, using the best solutions under each unique situations.
Experienced in logistics customer relationship management, resource management, and project management.
Excellent attention to detail and strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in a multicultural, high-pressure, and deadline-driven setting; able to follow shipping SOPs accurately.
