Job Summary:

The machine setup technician's role at our Windsor Mold Tooling facility is to support the machining department by completing workpiece setup on CNC machines, material handling using both overhead crane and forklift, completing basic machine maintenance, housekeeping and other general labor duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete and verify machine setups to the direction provided.
• Positions and secures work piece on FCS, holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures, using clamps and wrenches
• Moving completed jobs to the location of their next scheduled task
• General housekeeping of the plant and equipment
• Material handling using overhead crane and forklift
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
• Communicate with colleagues and follow instructions accurately while also being able to work independently.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

**Job Description**
This role encompasses two primary functions: collaborating with the Windsor plant to manufacture hydraulic presses and equipment for the North American market, and installing new equipment as well as repairing and upgrading existing equipment at customer sites across North America.
**Responsibilities**
Install and repair pumps, valves, cylinders, and other hydraulic components.
Provide hydraulic service and support for hydraulic presses and related equipment.
Carry out routine preventive maintenance and test equipment.
Provide operations and maintenance training to customers.

Develop solutions on-site with support from the team in Windsor and German Headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed drawings, assembly procedures, routing cards, schematics, and bills of materials.
  
• Assembly of transducer products and systems including mechanical assembly, bonded assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, encapsulation and modification of components using workshop tooling.
  
• Conduct Product Tests such as Hydrostatic pressure testing, receive inspection of complex machined components, load testing, environmental testing and electro-acoustic test and characterization while using a variety of test devices and methods.
  
• Complete and maintain detailed product build and test documentation, assess product compliance to established quality standards, and sign-off of key build stages.
  
• Contribute to refinement of product design, build documentation and processes through record of changes and red-lines for review during product assembly.
  
• Working as part of a skilled interdisciplinary team to resolve production and assembly issues while working with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams.
  
• Prepare materials for assembly using solvent cleaning and abrasive surface preparation.

• Use various chemicals, adhesives, and compounds to encapsulate and bond parts.
  
• Record actions taken by completing production and quality forms in accordance with ISO9001 requirements.
  
• Identify products or parts that do not meet quality standards and follow quarantine procedures as required.
  
• Maintain a clean, hazard free workstation by cleaning and maintain equipment, tidying production floor and complying with health and safety procedures, rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Formal Technician or Technology training from a recognized college or university.
  
• Prior experience working with equipment for underwater use including electro-mechanical devices

Required Qualifications:

• DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology or relevant experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Ability to read with accuracy diesel engine manuals, locomotive schematics, service bulletins, maintenance instructions and other craft related documentation.
• Ability to read and understand FRA and company rules, specifications and guidelines.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD & Solidworks an asset
• Good organizational skills, autonomy, attention to detail, and rigor
• Ability to work under pressure and good priority management
• Attention to detail, precision, analytical skills, autonomy, and good interpersonal skills
• Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.

YOUR ROLE As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be a key member of our Projects and After-Sales Service team, responsible for on-site installations, troubleshooting, and customer support. This role requires significant travel to customer locations across North America and beyond. RESPONSIBILITIES On-Site & Remote Technical Support * Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic system malfunctions remotely and on-site. * Travel to customer sites (up to 80% of the time) to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial baking equipment. * Conduct on-call service as required. * Ensure all service interventions are performed safely and efficiently. * Document service activities and ensure compliance with corrective action plans. Customer Relationship Management * Establish strong relationships with customers through professional communication and service. * Provide technical guidance and training to customers for optimal equipment use. * Identify upselling opportunities for MECATHERM products and services. * Represent MECATHERM’s brand and uphold our reputation for technical excellence. Internal Support & Process Improvement * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives based on field insights. * Provide technical support to other MECATHERM technicians as needed. * Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service quality and efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS * Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance. * Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. * Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics. * Hands-on experience with automated industrial equipment is a strong asset. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-travel environment. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure. * French language skills are an asset but not required.
