What Youll Do
As our Operations Lead, you will:
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with production goals and company standards.
- Play a central role in the selection, implementation, and optimization of ERP software, with a focus on streamlining production planning, inventory control, and real-time reporting.
- Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency, track productivity, and drive continuous improvement across all areas of manufacturing.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and quality control procedures, ensuring equipment reliability and product consistency.
- Plan and manage production schedules, workflows, and labour allocation to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**
As a member of the Production Team, the Production Lead is responsible for leading all production efforts within the sign & woodshop departments. They will assist in leading a team of sign technicians, print operators and woodshop technician in effective and efficient production operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate will be a team player who can work well under pressure in both team and individual environments.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Lead, guide, train, and mentor production technicians
* Assign and oversee work allocation
* Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new team members
* Communicating with other departments regarding potential problems or delays impacting deadlines
* Establish work schedules for operators and technicians
* Review time sheets for accuracy and approval
* Coordinate cleaning and maintenance of production machines (printers, cutters, laminators, etc.) and provide routine maintenance and minor repairs
* Monitor signage print and application processes for quality, accuracy, and consistency
* Complete printing and sign manufacturing processes when required
* Establish good interdepartmental relationships to help balance conflicting priorities
* Establish and review standard operating procedures, practices, and policies
* Monitor and lead worksite safety and compliance within production
* Provide progress reports to Production Manager
* Other duties as required
**QUALIFICATIONS**
* Working experience with SAP an asset
* Experience leading small to medium-sized teams
* Positive hardworking attitude
* Work efficiently and effectively to meet short timelines
* Handle precise calculations in measurements, conversions, and other amounts.
* Experience with Google spreadsheets
* Knowledge of provincial sign specifications in Western Canada is considered an asset
* Experience with manufacturing/lean manufacturing an asset
**HOURS OF WORK**
The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
