**The Opportunity:**
Our Nuclear subsector, a key component of WSP's ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients in the nuclear industry. Our team offers a wide range of services, including technical and feasibility studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, quality surveillance, commissioning and asset management. This division is operating at an exciting time as nuclear power and new technology solutions are developing globally, with Canada as a leader in nuclear refurbishments, nuclear new builds, incredible capital projects portfolios and a deep history in nuclear supply chain.
WSP is currently seeking an experienced **Manufacturing Engineer, Nuclear** to join one of our Ontario offices. Several projects will potentially require travel to Tiverton, Ontario, Toronto Ontario, Saint John, New Brunswick, Pickering and Oshawa, Ontario.
The Manufacturing Engineer will establish and refine manufacturing procedures. This position will also prepare and maintain shop documentation conforming to quality system requirements and assess and resolve non-conforming conductions that affect the product. This position also will support the shop through facilities and equipment maintenance, upgrade or installation and designing tooling as required to support shop activities and safe work.

**What you can expect to do here:**
+ Prepare detailed shop routings and identify required resources, tooling, and operating procedures.
+ Resolve non-conforming conditions by assessing drawings, specifications, and quality standards; produce supplementary documentation and liaise with relevant personnel.
+ Develop and support procedures for Fitting, Welding, Machining, Assembly, and Testing.
+ Establish and maintain realistic time standards for shop performance and scheduling; conduct time studies.
+ Maintain database of shop tooling, consumables, gauges, and records of past practices.
+ Conduct pre-manufacturing reviews; identify and procure necessary tooling and fixtures.
+ Design and draft tooling, perform design analyses, create rigging plans/sketches, and assist with equipment procurement.
**What you'll bring to WSP:**
+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
+ Licensed Professional Engineer in province of residence.
+ 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or consulting environment with a focus on NUCLEAR.
+ Have a solid knowledge of Machine Guarding in accordance with CSA.
+ Knowledge of ASME Standards and Pressure Vessel Codes
+ Knowledge and demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control tools and principles.
+ Comfortable with common Microsoft Office software applications.
+ Knowledge and demonstrated application of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
+ Experience in the Nuclear industry.
+ Experience with AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D design software (or similar).

**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities**
Provide leadership & direction for a team of shippers/receivers and material handlers to deliver on the following:
+ Ensure a safe work environment in the warehouse/shipping/receiving areas for all employees and drive a zero-tolerance environment for safety infractions
+ Lead the team responsible for daily warehouse operations including storage, picking, kitting, packing to ensure On Time Delivery of products through to end customers
+ Overcome roadblocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customer requirements and ensure quality and timeliness
+ Develop operational plan for the own department and teams
+ Serve as an expert resource in areas of logistics management, freight and regulatory compliance.
+ Review costs related to inbound/outbound freight versus accrual/estimate and lead corrective actions for discrepancies and provide strategic leadership for the loading of inbound/outbound freight to improve costs
+ Responsible for scheduling, workload planning, and equipment required for the receipt, sorting, warehousing and inventory control of all warehoused items
+ Manage warehousing costs and 3PLs (Third Party Logistics), identify specific cost reduction opportunities and take action to achieve cost reductions
+ Identify areas for improvement, initiate/lead projects to reduce transportation and operational cost
+ Lead warehousing activities with production, EHS, marketing and technology including material receipt, storage and delivery
+ Work with material planners as liaison to coordinate inbound freight shipments with suppliers/freight forwarders
+ Assure all freight-related system (MRP) transactions occur in timely basis
+ Implement/manage inventory levels for expense items not driven by MRP
+ Knowledge and understanding of International Trade Controls and Customs Compliance, identify, report and resolve any trade compliance issues while adhering to GE Grid Solutions ITC COE requirements
+ Develop relationships with partners (carriers, suppliers, etc.) as identified by the business
+ Provide subject matter expertise to customers and internal partners related to logistics, international trade and customs
+ Maintain and drive FIFO and 5S in the warehouse to be best in class
+ Follow Quality Management System policies, procedures and work instructions
+ Maintain daily, monthly and quarterly metrics as prescribed
+ Other duties as necessary through the evolution of the role & related processes
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years of supply chain experience
+ Minimum of 2 additional years of experience in Warehouse and Logistics/Inventory management and SAP experience
+ Proven change management experience
+ Experience setting goals and tracking performance to those goals
+ Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required to support multiple time zones
