**SCOPE OF POSITION**

The Marketing Design Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the execution of marketing efforts throughout all Business Units. While the scope of the position is broad, the Marketing Design Coordinator will focus on the following aspects: marketing graphics, branded materials, print/media advertising and communications.

**ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS**

**Graphic Design & Branding**

* Coordinate and execute the design and production of marketing materials across digital and print platforms, ensuring alignment with brand standards and supporting business development goals.
* Assist with the creation, design, and production of various marketing and communication materials, including proposals, invitations, brochures, SOQs, info sheets, presentations, advertisements, newsletters, emails, and slide shows
* Design marketing collateral for trade shows and events, such as banners, booth graphics, signage, and printed materials
* Design and enhance PowerPoint presentations using creative visuals aligned with our brand style.
* Develop visually consistent templates for documents, presentations, and reports across all departments
* Ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines, style standards, and corporate messaging
* Assist in capturing and editing photo and video content for marketing use
* Add visual elements (e.g., text overlays) to video and graphic content as needed
* Coordinate with print vendors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of printed materials
* Source, review, price, and prepare branded clothing, merchandise, and gifts for internal and external use
* Develop a strong understanding of the company’s brand, ensuring consistency across all platforms and materials
* Collaborate with business development and operations teams to tailor content for regional and service-specific needs
* Work closely with HR and HSE to support internal campaigns, initiatives, and projects

**Digital Marketing & Web**

* Assist in maintaining and updating company websites
* Support SEO best practices where applicable
* Collect advertising metrics from website and digital campaigns and provide reports to Marketing Manager.
* Content & Asset Management
* Maintain and manage digital assets (e.g., info sheets, photos, templates, project experience, project summaries, and staff CV’s/bios, logo files, etc) in an accessible and organized archive

**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

**Education Requirements**

* Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, communications or graphic design preferred but not required
* Graphic design training and/or experience required

**Experience Requirements**

* Previous graphic design experience is a must
* 2+ years of related marketing experience required.
* 1+ years of social media management experience preferred

**Technical Requirements**

* Extensive experience with graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly PowerPoint
* Video filming and editing skills (Adobe Premiere) are an asset
* Basic knowledge and experience with paid campaigns such as Google
* AdWords are an asset
* Experience with website management (Concrete5) is an asset

**Soft Skill Requirements**

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Being comfortable communicating and seeking input from various people within the company
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships with both fellow employees and suppliers/vendors of various backgrounds and communication styles

Role Overview
The Marketing & Graphics Design Specialist plays a key role in executing creative and digital marketing initiatives across multiple channels. This is a versatile role that blends graphic design, content creation, e-commerce support, and brand consistency to ensure all customer-facing touchpoints reflect our identity and goals.

You’ll create high-quality digital assets for ads, websites, social media, and trade shows. You'll also support content strategy, help implement SEO tasks, and contribute to e-commerce and email campaigns. This role requires creativity, adaptability, and strong collaboration with the broader marketing and development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative & Brand Execution

  • Design digital assets for paid media (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Create visuals for social media, email campaigns, product listings, and trade shows
  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all channels
  • Provide creative input across digital marketing projects, including visual and UI feedback on websites and internal tools

Content & Campaign Development
  • Write and visually design blog posts, social content, and marketing emails
  • Plan and schedule content for social media calendars
  • Support on-page SEO through content updates and metadata optimization
  • Assist with contact data collection and audience segmentation

You are a great fit if you:
 
  • Have 3+ years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or digital content creation
  • Hold a degree or diploma in marketing, communications, design, or a related field
  • Are proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Figma, or similar tools
  • Create content that is both visually engaging and strategically written for digital platforms
  • Are comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and take ownership of deliverables from start to finish
  • Are able to travel for trade shows or events (approximately 4–6 per year, mostly in the U.S., totaling 15–20 working days annually)
  • Bring a working knowledge of SEO fundamentals to help optimize content performance
  • Have experience with e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Seller Central (a strong asset)

Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Brand Design, the Marketing & Communications Intern will have an opportunity to learn, work alongside the ACCES Marketing team, and get involved with various Marketing functional areas, projects, assignments, and initiatives during their placement based on the program parameters. The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing team to work towards ACCES Marketing team’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities and Opportunities:
  • Provide administrative support and assistance across all Marketing functions as needed by the Marketing Team
  • Will help support Marketing actions and initiatives in alignment with ACCES’s Strategic Priorities.
  • Will be assigned ad-hoc projects and assignments throughout the duration of their internship.  Areas of Marketing to support include but are not limited to:
- Brand and creative design
- Event planning and coordination
- Web design and development
- Photography/videography support
  • Will be provided an opportunity to be mentored, coached, and counselled by the Marketing team members at ACCES
  • May be assigned other duties not noted on this list including support of Marketing functions, projects, assignments, and activities.
