GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for a Materials Handler to join our Supply Chain team!
As the Materials Handler, you'll be responsible for the efficient movement, storage and distribution of materials within our warehouse and inventory area. You will support the Supply Chain team by managing, organizing inventory control, completing order fulfillment, receiving orders, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will use your exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure both customer and company requirements are met in the most efficient manner possible.

Responsibilities
- Receive items in the company ERP, confirm accuracy of items and associated documentation.
- Organize, label, and store inventory in assigned locations.
- Safely operate forklift and pallet stacker as required.
- Maintain proper labelling, safe storage, and posting documentation of hazardous materials.
- Regularly transport items throughout the facility, including monitoring and restocking CAN/BAN locations.
- Pick materials to fill manufacturing orders.
- Participate in regular inventory cycle counts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouse and inventory areas.
- Continuously look for ways to improve job function and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Assist with confirming weights and dimensions of outgoing shipments
- Participate in organizational occupational health and safety education, prevention, promotion, and reporting.
- Operate under and contribute to the maintenance of the GTI Quality Management System
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year working experience in a warehouse environment.
- 2 years working experience using a forklift.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to share knowledge and work within a team environment while being capable of working independently.
- Dynamic and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment while providing a high level of accuracy and detail.
- Energetic and motivated with the ability to keep on top of various projects.
- Willingness to embrace change in both technology and processes.
- Solution-oriented and eager to solve problems.

The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction as listed. This position has oversight of a specific area, and acts as a representative to the department ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases. This is the Lead position on assigned projects or performs engineering assignments of any complexity.
- Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts
- Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
- Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
- Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of difficult engineering complexity
- Serve as Supervising Lead providing guidance/supervision to other leads and function as mentor to less experienced engineers including performance appraisal input and counseling
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines

Other Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

- Professional registration and membership in technical society (preferred)

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse/Material Handling Associate for a full-time role reporting to the local Branch Operations Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient receiving, handling, storage, staging, and shipping of doors and door hardware. You’ll collaborate closely with the fabrication team and Project Managers to ensure materials are accurately packaged and prepared in accordance with industry standards and project timelines.

- Receiving, packaging, and labeling of all shipments according to industry practices and using WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Utilizing company specific software, field devices, and paperwork to maintain accurate inventory information.
- Package and prepare door hardware, wood doors, steel doors, and frames for installation, delivery, or customer pickup.
- Perform inventory counts using the company ERP software.
- Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the Operations Supervisor.
- Sorting stock materials from job materials
- Utilizing hand tools, mechanical equipment, and motorized equipment (including, but not limited to, box cutters, rolling carts, ladders, pallet jacks, for lifts, drills, saws, etc.
- Call customers or carriers to coordinate pick-up and delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience in a shipping and receiving role.
- Experience operating a fork lift and pallet jack.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work under deadlines and multi-task.
- Excellent customer and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Business Central, WMS experience, and Microsoft Office
- Strong teamwork values.
