As the Dietary Aid, you are responsible for the well-being of our residents through the delivery of high-quality hospitality services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals using current menu
- Store food in designated areas following all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils. Clean workstation thoroughly prior to leaving area. Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to comply with all sanitation and safety requirements
- Ensure the environment is safe and sanitary staff and residents; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents, and injuries where possible
- Maintain kitchen sanitation standards
- Interact with residents to resolve inquiries in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrate complete understanding of current menu
- Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year experience with restaurant or home-cooking
- Strong background in food services in a residential care setting or hotel
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle fast paced environment
- Comprehensive food services knowledge, including focus on quality, production, sanitation, and presentation
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Position Overview
Under the direction of the Food Service Manager/Food Service Supervisor performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department
Essential Duties
- Participate in departmental and town hall meetings
- Receives verbal/written endorsement regarding changes in resident status

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Completion of a Baccalaureate Program in Dietetics from a recognized university program and full registrant status with the Dietitians of Canada
- Baccalaureate from an accredited University with a major in Human Nutritional Sciences or equivalent
- Registered Dietitian; must be a registered member of the Dietitians of Canada
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of human nutrition, menu planning principles and practices
- Dietetic Internship Certificate from an accredited program
- One year clinical nutrition experience in an acute care hospital preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Dietitian or in a nutrition related profession.

PeaceHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide - Nutrition Services for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $19.66 - $29.47. **Job Summary**
This position is responsible for performing diversified duties in the kitchen and the tray line.
**Essential Functions**
+ Ensure dishware, flatware, pots and pans are clean and sanitized. Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of dish room and carousel.
+ Assists in assembly of patient food trays on tray line.
+ Deliver and retrieves patient food carts to patient floors. Delivers floor stock to patient floors.
+ Stocks small wares in cafeteria server.
+ Checks and records dish machine temperatures in HACCP log.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
