Linen Chest is looking for a creative, strategic, and hands-on social media lead to join us for a 1-year maternity leave contract, with the potential to extend. In this role, you’ll guide the voice and content strategy for one of Canada’s most-loved home retailers.
You’ll own our organic social presence and influencer program—from high-level strategy to daily publishing, performance tracking to creator partnerships. You’ll collaborate with our creative, marketing, eComm, and retail teams to bring campaigns to life and ensure content stays relevant, on-brand, and engaging.

- Build and execute platform-specific strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube
- Manage the daily content calendar, publishing schedule, and community engagement
- Collaborate on content creation and maintain a consistent, elevated brand look and feel
- Lead influencer and creator partnerships—from outreach to execution and performance tracking
- Align social content with product launches, promos, and omnichannel campaigns
- Host giveaways to drive growth and engagement
- Respond to comments and DMs, and monitor brand mentions to stay connected with our audience
- Track KPIs using analytics tools and adjust strategy based on performance
- Stay current on platform trends, algorithm changes, and new content formats
- Partner with paid media to amplify organic content
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in social media strategy and execution
- Proven experience managing influencer relationships and campaigns
- Strong understanding of content performance across social platforms
- Comfortable using tools like Hootsuite, Canva, CapCut, and native publishing/analytics features
- Data-driven mindset with experience interpreting social metrics
- Highly organized and self-motivated, especially in a remote work environment
- Bilingual (English/French) is a plus

Purpose and Accountability
The Marketing Social Media and Content Manager is responsible for developing and executing EarthDaily's social media strategy and digital content initiatives to enhance brand visibility, engage target audiences, and drive global reach. This role requires a strategic mindset and creativity to elevate EarthDaily's voice across key platforms including LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.
Note: This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in Canada or the US, or, if preferable, hybrid or full-time out of the Vancouver-based head office. Candidates must hold current eligibility to work in Canada or the US to be considered for the role.
Key Activities
- Social Media Strategy & Management: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy that reflects EarthDaily’s brand values and growth objectives.
- Content Calendar Development & Implementation: Design and manage a robust social media and content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic messaging.
- Blog Content & Editorial Planning: Collaborate with the communications team to produce high-quality blog content focused on geospatial intelligence, climate resilience, and global sustainability.
- Social Listening & Trend Analysis: Monitor conversations and industry trends, engaging with influencers and thought leaders to amplify EarthDaily’s presence.
- Platform Expansion & Innovation: Identify new platforms and innovative content formats—such as short-form videos, live streams, and interactive media—to enhance brand reach.
- HubSpot & Website Management: Maintain and optimize website content using HubSpot CMS, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with marketing initiatives.
- Performance Analytics & Reporting: Analyze social media metrics to track performance, optimize strategies, and report key findings.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within technology or Earth Observation sectors.
- Proven track record managing social media platforms with a history of growth and engagement.
- Strong understanding of geospatial technology, satellite data, and EO applications.
- Proficiency with HubSpot, social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social), and Google Analytics.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking and content optimization.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

This is an on-site role based in beautiful Tofino, BC, with a minimum one-year commitment and potential to extend long-term. November start date or earlier. If you're a video-first creator with a sharp eye for visuals, trends, and storytelling - and youre ready to live steps from Canadas #1 surf beach - this is your moment.
This isnt a remote role. Youll be based on-site in Tofino, with the option for comfortable staff accommodation just 100 meters from the beach. On your days off? Hike through old-growth rainforest, surf at sunset, or paddle out after work.
What Youll Be Doing
Youll lead the creation of engaging, shareable content that tells the story of Pacific Sands and the wild, beautiful place we call home.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating video-first content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and more
- Writing compelling captions in our brand voice and building our monthly content calendar
- Capturing and editing original photo and video assets to support storytelling and brand consistency
- Managing and growing our social channels, including DMs, comments, tags, and replies
- Coordinating influencer and content creator partnerships and collaborations
- Planning giveaways and cross-promotional opportunities with aligned brands and creators
- Tracking performance and reporting on social media insights and analytics
