The QA & RA associate position is a GMP role responsible for a wide variety of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs activities related to Drugs, MDs, CTOs and NHPs. In addition, the QA & RA Associate will communicate with vendors, prepare documentation and processes, contribute to drugs or MD submissions, and maintain all documentation and records.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

General

  • Support and maintain a process that ensures all requirements from Health Canada and FDA are met
  • Maintain all documentation and necessary records for Drugs, MDs, CTOs and NHPs activity

Quality Assurance

  • As approved AQPIC, perform all the duties related to narcotics activity onsite (e.g. product receiving, inspection, distribution, monthly reporting etc.)
  • Maintain the Quality Management Systems (QMS) for drugs, MDs, CTOs , and HCTPs
  • Write new SOPs. Review and update of SOPs and standard forms.
  • Documentation review and drug inspection for batch release, including narcotics
  • Full process for Quality Product Complaints for drugs, MDs, CTOs, and NHPs
  • Review and documentation of all returned products
  • Review and documentation of starting materials, and emergency kits
  • Review of imported NHP finished products
  • Participate in Health Canada GMP inspection
  • Participate in Health Canada, and FDA inspections for MDs, and CTOs /HCTPs
  • Participate in annual self-inspection and corrective /preventive actions
  • Support on ISO-13485 certification and recertification for MD Quality Management System
  • Documentation of change controls and deviations
  • Prepare, review and maintain all documentation from DIN manufacturers
  • Preparation, review and maintenance of any logs, spreadsheet, or records
  • Support with staff GMP and QMS training
  • Perform quality inspection of facilities

Regulatory Affairs

  • Review and document all ADRs, and forward to respective authorities, when needed
  • Support and records on drug pharmaco-vigilance process, and MD problem reporting
  • Support on renewing all drug and MD licenses, and updating all licenses: DEL, MDEL, CTO, NHP SL, wholesale/ distributor, tissue bank, and FDA registrations
  • Participate to comply with recall procedure for drugs, MDs in Canada, and MDs and HCTPs in USA
  • Participate in Health Canada pharmaco-vigilance inspection
  • Support submission process for existing and new products, drugs, MDs, and NHPs
  • Support any regulatory change submission for drugs in eCTD format /software
  • Support and review final submission documents, keep submission copies, and e-file
  • Support international regulatory documentation requests
  • Maintain and submit monthly narcotics report to Health Canada

Requirements

Join our team as a Project Manager, Medical Equipment Planning on our Furniture and Equipment Team, in Edmonton or Calgary!

In this role, the Project Manager will apply their knowledge and expertise in the field of healthcare facilities including new builds and redevelopment projects. The individual must demonstrate a developing project portfolio, where they have led some medical equipment planning projects from beginning to end.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist with furniture and equipment procurement, and move management/operational readiness activities, working alongside a multi-sector, non-vendor specific team with national exposure. Responsibilities:

- Lead projects from beginning to end.
- Prepare and manage project plans, resources, and schedules; evaluate medical facilities requirements and provide planning and options for client consideration;
- Communicate directly with clinical user groups, design professionals, and multidisciplinary teams;
- Coordinate with clinical and technical specialists and Assistant Project Managers to complete project requirements within the agreed schedule;
- Maintain proactive communication with the project in the management of activities and deliverables;

- Oversee medical equipment inventory activities and recommend existing equipment for future transfer;
- Oversee the preparation and issue of deliverable reports for the client;
- Prepare and review medical equipment procurement and bid documents;
- Guide clients in the installation and commissioning of medical equipment;
- Develop and maintain working relationships with vendors, obtaining equipment specification details and budget as applicable
- Attend and/or co-ordinate vendor demonstrations in-house, or showroom visits as applicable
- Assist with the development of RFP documentation and technical requirements for medical equipment
- Foster a positive team environment and provide necessary coaching/mentoring support
- Contribute to the development of our delivery processes, systems and tools.
- Update and maintain global and project databases
- Read / review design drawings for creation of project-specific databases and operational considerations based on equipment utility implications
- Participate in team meetings and attend client site meetings as required
- Work independently and as part of a team in the absence of supervision
- Communicate with project stakeholders to answer questions, interpret data and explain requirements, regulations and procedures as applicable
- Deliver project cost estimates for inclusion in proposals, bids and project reports
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and products

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience overseeing medical equipment planning projects
- Experience in Design Build Finance and Maintain projects highly desirable
- Knowledge of the Capital Planning Processes
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience in one of the following areas:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Operating room nursing
- Cardiovascular nursing
- Physiotherapy
- Pharmacy
- Medical Device Reprocessing
- Laboratory Services
- Diagnostic Imaging
- A combination of a Diploma and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience in one of the above will be considered

**Production Assembler**
**Location:**
Gananoque, Ontario
**Job Type:**
Full-Time Contract

We are seeking meticulous and reliable Assemblers to support the production of high-precision sensors for medical devices in our ECG department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the healthcare industry while gaining experience in a regulated clean room environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Assemble and wire sensitive medical devices with care and precision
Conduct detailed quality inspections to ensure optimal sensor performance
Work efficiently on a fast-paced production line, alternating between sitting and standing tasks
Follow strict clean room protocols to maintain a sterile and regulated environment
Rotate weekly through three shifts:
**Day:**
7:00 AM u2013 3:00 PM
**Afternoon:**
3:00 PM u2013 11:00 PM
**Overnight:**
11:00 PM u2013 7:00 AM
**Required Skills & Experience:**
Previous experience in production, assembly , or quality inspection
Strong manual dexterity for handling small components
Sharp attention to detail and good vision for sustained focus
Ability to complete FDA-compliant documentation in English accurately
