**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Emergency Medical Services Coordinator** to join our team at the Faro Mine Remediation Project! In this role you will develop, organize, and conduct online and/or instructor-led training for employees and managers.
_The FMRP, located_ _in Faro, Yukon, is one of the largest and most complex abandoned mine remediation projects in Canada._ _Faro is located 4 hours northeast of Whitehorse, Yukon, and currently has a population of approximately 350 people._ _Furnished housing will be_ _provided but_ _you will be required to purchase and prepare your own food/meals during the shift onsite._ _Flights to Whitehorse, travel between Whitehorse and Faro, and daily transportation to and from the Mine Site to Faro will be provided._
_This role is a rotational position (2 weeks on & 2 weeks off), 12 hours per day._
_This is a fixed-term contract position to start, with the potential to extend or convert into a long-term role in the future._
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Develops, organizes, and conducts online and/or instructor led training for employees and managers on various topics. Creates all training materials needed, including PowerPoint presentation materials, handouts, manuals, online modules, etc.
+ Manage the security team and scheduling.
+ Ensures all Emergency equipment is in good working order and that regulatory inspections are scheduled to maintain compliance.
+ Conducts training and development evaluations to ensure effectiveness by assessing employee performance and reviewing evaluations/feedback. Makes recommendations to the Site Safety Manager regarding feedback received.
+ Provides and analyzes training reports as needed to monitor training compliance.
+ Takes the lead in ensuring new Training and Development personnel are effectively and efficiently trained in all operations. Monitors training to ensure quality programs and conformance with department, territorial and mining requirements. Keeps abreast of practices, current/pending legislation, and trends within the area of specialization.
+ Prepares drafts of policies and procedures for area of assigned specialty.
+ Works closely with subject matter experts on the design and development of instructional content, as well as graphics and multimedia elements for delivery of differentiated online instructional content.
+ Manages and coordinates LMS system including positional training roadmaps and activities to meet strategic management objectives.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Certified to deliver either Mine Rescue or Emergency Medical Responder training or willing to become certified.
+ Certified or able to become certified in 3rd party confined space training and other technical training related to Mining and construction.
+ Ability to apply a variety of Safety principles, company policies, and practices to assigned area of responsibility and possess a working knowledge of related Territorial an regulations.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with all levels of employees and subcontractors with issues pertaining to assigned area of responsibility.
+ Ability to clearly articulate the application of relevant laws and regulations, as well as Safety and Training principles and company policies related to area of responsibility and provide appropriate guidance to managers.
+ CRSP or related work experience in Training and Development or Safety.
+ Valid class 5 driver's license required.
+ Ability to lift 25 kg.

Position Scope :
Reports directly to the CEO and will be a member of the Senior Leadership and Management Team. The Clinical Services Executive (CSE) – Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be employed by Mountain Lea Lodge and provide services to several ‘partner homes' in the Western Zone region.
In partner facilities, the CSE – NP will act as a Medical Health Advisor/collaborate with the Medical Health Advisor (as applicable). The CSE – NP will be the most responsible provider and manage, lead, and oversee client care management in collaboration with unit physicians and leadership teams at partner sites including Mountain Lea Lodge. The CSE – NP will provide clinical leadership for the home(s) and integrate current scientific knowledge in geriatrics and best practice guidelines in decision-making based on critical appraisal and application of literature and research findings. The NP will also act as a resource, preceptor, and mentor for the Interdisciplinary Care Team in accordance with the vision, mission, and values of the host organization. The Nurse will lead education and research initiatives.
As a self-regulated professional, the Nurse Practitioner will work to their full scope of practice as outlined by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing, accountable to both the Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses and the Nurse Practitioner Standards of Practice as well as the Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses. This is a Non-Unionized Position.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Advise, compile, and make available information as the Minister may require about the residents.
- Act and fulfill the role as the Medical Health Advisor for the home/ collaborate with the Medical Health Advisor (as applicable).
- Participate in employee performance management and decision making (e.g., performance improvement, disciplinary action).
- Work collaboratively with HR teams to support and inform the hiring processes of clinical staff as required.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to define, advance, and maximize the scope of practice within professions and/or the scope of employment.
- Leads and participates in internal and external committees and Community Practices (e.g., pharmacy and therapeutics, palliative care CoP, skin, and wound care CoP).
- Conduct onboarding and integration activities at participating nursing homes and work collaboratively to identify existing needs (e.g., education, research, care coverage), and processes.
Resident Care Management
- Manage resident care as the Medical Health Advisor or in collaboration with the Medical Health Advisor (as applicable), unit physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. May co-ordinate or manage primary resident care.
- Collaborate with other members of the leadership and interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate resident care in consultation with the resident and substitute decision maker.
- Perform person-centered health assessments of residents, participate in regular care conferences, and collaborate with the residents and Substitute Decision Maker to develop a person-centered plan of care.

Requirements
TALENTS & EXPERTISE
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a relevant field. A Master's degree is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, with a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on clinical treatment experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR and CPI certificate.
- Registration with the OCSWSSW or the CRPO.

Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Director of Emergency Services and collaborating with the program Corporate Chief and Urgent Care Centre (UCC) Site Chief, the Clinical Services Manager of the UCC at Peel Memorial will have overall responsibility for the management of the interdisciplinary human, financial and material resources required to meet the patient and family care needs within this service. With a focus on patient and family centered care, the Clinical Services Manager will be accountable for ensuring the delivery of best patient care, within a safe and compassionate environment, while maintaining an engaged workforce.

POSITION RELATIONSHIP:
- Reports to the Director, Emergency Services
- Collaborates with the UCC Site Chief, the Corporate Chief of Emergency Services, and the Assistant Clinical Services Manager
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES/ONGOING ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and implement the operational and program strategic plans and/or initiatives, in collaboration with the program leadership team.
- Define and secure the organizational supports and structures required for the service, in collaboration with program leadership.
- Establish and maintain a high-functioning inter-professional practice climate that embraces high quality and continuous improvement, and ensures that patient care is provided with compassion and in accordance with professional practice and corporate standards.
- Identifies areas for improvements, secures resources and implements efficient processes/ structure required for safe and efficient operations.
- Assess relevant data and provide feedback on findings to drive the timely delivery of safe, exceptional services.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Educator, Resource Nurses, staff and partners in improving practice, processes, adding value, raising standards, improving effectiveness.
- Monitor and work to improve patient, family and staff engagement results in collaboration with relevant partners.
- Foster an engaged, high-performing workforce, seeking and implementing opportunities for improvement or corrective action.
- Hire, mentor and coach staff performance as determined by human resource policies, union agreements, legislation and standards of practice.
- Develop, monitor, manage and evaluate the service financial resources (i.e. budget), in collaboration with relevant partners.
- Develop processes for selecting, evaluating and maintaining supplies and equipment needed for enhancing patient care.
- Develop and maintain effective interdepartmental relationships and participate in activities that contribute to the effective function of the team, the program, and the organization.
- Facilitate excellent, bidirectional communication with staff, physicians and partners with respect to program and corporate updates through various mechanisms including staff meetings, huddles, etc.
- Enhance community linkages and partnerships, leveraging Osler’s participation in the regional Ontario Health Team.
- Current relevant designation in a professional technical discipline is required, Health Discipline Professional designation preferred
- Undergraduate Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years recent management/ leadership experience within a clinical environment, complemented by participation in leadership or team development courses
- Excellent clinical knowledge and experience in Emergency Services is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships within and outside the organization
- Ability to establish and maintain an engaged workforce, with a service-oriented focus

Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer , the Director of Clinical Health Services provides culturally informed leadership to ensure the seamless operation of healthcare services. This role integrates traditional healing practices with modern medicine, creating a culturally specific comprehensive and patient-centered approach to care. The Director oversees vital programs such as Primary Care (Medical and Dental Offices, Clinical based outreach and home health services, Mobile Diabetes), Health Quality, the Recovery Homes, the Youth Treatment Home, and the AIMs Program. They ensure seamless operations, embodying the community's vision for health and well-being while addressing systemic barriers to equitable care.
The Director of Clinical Health Services promotes culturally safe services developed to meet the needs of Seabird Island Health Service Agency communities inclusivity and respect across all services while fostering collaboration within the community and across departments. By effectively managing resources, including staff, budgets, and program logistics, this role ensures the delivery of culturally safe and holistic healthcare practices. What you'll do
Holistic Leadership & Vision
- Champion culturally specific health care service, a holistic approach to clinical health, acknowledging the interconnectedness of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
- Collaborate to develop strategies with the Community and Family Wellness, Education, Early Childhood Development, and Community Infrastructure departments to address social determinants of health, including gaps in care or services, housing, nutrition, and access to traditional healing, foods and medicines, ensuring alignment with community traditions and values.
Program Management & Oversight
- Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical programs to meet in-community needs across multiple service locations and communities. Emphasis on the relationship with communities for ongoing evaluation and service needs.

Qualifications and Experience
- A Master's or Doctoral level of education in a field related to healthcare management, supplemented with ten (10) years' recent and related progressively responsible leadership experience is required.
- Experience working with First Nations communities and understanding of First Nations cultures, traditions, and contemporary issues.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- In-depth understanding of the historical and systemic impacts of colonialism on First Nations Peoples health and well-being.
