- Follow up on POD issues, delivery errors, or customer feedback

Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Slitting Operator is responsible for setting up the machine, running production of the slitter, cleaning of the slitter and all maintenance on the slitting machines. This position is responsible for operating machines to slit continuous lengths of laminated film into specified widths that meet your customer quality specifications. This role would also be responsible for packing off the slitter for shipping, when required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies and ensures that proper materials are used for production
- Ensures mistakes are not made and materials match as necessary
- Manages pre-run testing of the material to ensure the correct coding weights and bond strength are applied
- Runs the proper amount of material/footage to the job order
- Completes proper checking of production and material
- Cleans the slitter daily; organizes machine and material parts during closing operations
- Prepares for production at the end of each day for the following day
- Spaces rotary blades on the machine shaft, according to width specified on slitting work order.
- Loads material on machine supports and threads material over tension bar.
- Starts machine and observes flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and/or winding.
- Moves levers to stop, start, and regulate speed of machine and to align material with rotary blades.
- Disengages winding shaft and removes finished rolls of material.
- Wraps rollstock in poly liners using core plugs. Labels, palletizes and fills out manifest for custom orders.
- Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
- Meets or exceeds prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set-up times.
- Reports any necessary maintenance of the machine to the engineering department using a written work order.
- Reports any unsafe working conditions to the production supervisor.
- Participates in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.
- Review work instructions and procedures that are applicable to the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Turns on auxiliary and other equipment as needed
- Loads and unloads trucks as needed
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to read rulers; read and understand gauges
- Testing of equipment
- Ability to use a micrometer

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- 1+ years of experience in production, slitting and printing setting
- High school diploma preferred
- Shift Flexibility is a requirement - The 2nd shift can start anywhere from 12:00 pm until 02:00 am (subject to change). Training hours may be in the morning.

- Contributes to the development and evaluation of the resident plan of care. Implements nursing care as outlined in the resident specific plan of care;
- Communicates resident care needs and changes in resident status to the Head Nurse and to resident key contacts;
- Provides input into the need for a resident transfer into or out of the unit;

- Providing medication support and administration;

- Completing pertinent documentation and in keeping with assigned deadlines;
- Communicate with the members of the interdisplinary team such as staff, residents, family and physicians
- Ensures narcotic medication is stored and accounted for according to Casa Dolce Casas policy and procedure;
- Participate in orientation and on-the-job training of staff as required;
- Communicates the need for nursing supplies required to the Head Nurse. In absence of the Head Nurse completes the appropriate requisition form for supplies;
- Ensuring compliance of all applicable legislation, for example theRetirement Homes Act, 2010and its regulations;
- Meeting the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times;
- Staffing replacement tasks (i.e. sick calls);
- All other duties, as assigned.
Other key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with medication administration qualifications;
- Nursing experience in a similar setting;
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificates is preferable or must obtain within the month of hire
- Ability to communicate to our senior residents, their families, colleagues, etc., in a friendly and professional manner;
- Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines, while observing policies and procedures as well as applicable work standards and safety regulations;
- The ability to focus on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment;
- Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters;
- Must be knowledgeable of pertinent legislation and regulations including theRetirement Homes Act, 2010and its regulations;
- The ability to conduct your work on a computer utilizing Microsoft Office programs, familiarity with Point Click Care program will be considered as an asset;
- A criminal records/vulnerable sector screen, TB screening using a two-step Mantoux tuberculin test, and satisfactory professional references.

The Supervisor will be responsible for meeting the production targets, supervision of the staff and supporting the continuous improvement of the manufacturing operations. The individual must be flexible to workday, afternoon and night shifts.
