- Directs and supports the implementation of company initiatives.
- Responsible for day-to-day business decisions of region.
- Monthly review meetings (RAC) with direct reports to monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
- Manage regional T&E budget.
- Competency in utilizing Sales Manager Excellence concepts for employee development.
- Build strong internal company and customer relationships with other key management personnel.
- Develop and ensure employee development through internal and external programs.
- BS/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution or relevant field.
- Proven work experience as a sales leader.

The Role:
We're looking for a trailblazing National Director of Sales - Canada to drive and grow our most important customer relationships in Canada. Reporting to the VP of Sales , you'll lead a Key Account Manager, manage a major account, and play a key role in leading transformation by fostering bold, collaborative, and transparent partnerships.

- Fully own a major retail account, ensuring strategic planning, flawless execution, and long-term, sustainable success.
- Drive national sales performance to meet or exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets, focusing on sustainable wins with strategic foresight.
- Collaborate across R&D, insights, supply chain, marketing, and finance to identify growth opportunities and deliver category leadership.
- Lead strategic negotiations in pricing, contracts, and programs to deliver win-win outcomes.

What You Will Bring:
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading transformative sales strategies and growing national accounts.
- Proven experience in CPG, food manufacturing, private label, or at a retailer in the CPG industry.
- Leadership experience with at least 5 years managing teams.
- Hands-on experience with private label products is required.
- Experience in convenience stores, foodservice, or a global company is a plus.
- Fluency in English and French is a plus.
- Strong business acumen with a track record in business development, category growth, and partnership building.
- Ability to influence and lead top management at key accounts.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable taking calculated risks and creating solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

The impact you'll make :
As the Director of Sales Strategy, you will deepen our client partnerships by understanding their needs and building data-driven frameworks for how account teams can use Advance’s capabilities to deliver maximum client success. You will guide a team in creating client segmentations, designing tailored yet scalable packages / solutions, establishing best practices and education that empower our salesforce to deliver outstanding results. - Data-driven strategic thinker with 10+ years of experience in sales strategy, media / advertising (ideally some in retail media), measurement / analytics, or similar roles in a client-side or agency setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Mathematics or Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong background in advertising measurement with expertise in designing scalable solutions for diverse client segments.

The impact you'll make:
As the Director of Sales Strategy, you will deepen our client partnerships by understanding their needs and building data-driven frameworks for how account teams can use Advance’s capabilities to deliver maximum client success. You will guide a team in creating client segmentations, designing tailored yet scalable packages/solutions, establishing best practices and education that empower our salesforce to deliver outstanding results. You will be the connection point between product and market: collecting learnings back from client experiences, consolidates performance, optimizes our offerings and communicating back to the market.
What you'll do:
- Provide strategic leadership on what, how and why we recommend certain strategies and solutions to client partners for annual account planning, business objectives and tactical ad product use.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs across various segments to create targeted solution selling strategies.
- Centralize, distill, codify, socialize and equip our account teams with insights on how our products work and how to best use them to accomplish specific objectives
- Conduct research to generate insights that support strategic partnerships and demonstrate our market leadership.
- Document and bring to life compelling narratives from the use of our ad products and successful campaigns.
- Establish feedback loops with product teams to continuously improve client engagements and campaign performance based on real-world data.
- Educate internal partners across technology, product design, client services on best practices for developing our solutions and how we go to market.
Does this sound like you?
- Data-driven strategic thinker with 10+ years of experience in sales strategy, media/advertising (ideally some in retail media), measurement/analytics, or similar roles in a client-side or agency setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Mathematics or Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong background in advertising measurement with expertise in designing scalable solutions for diverse client segments.
- Proven track record of providing strategic leadership to campaign planners and media strategists.
- Excellent communication skills; able to convey complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable value to stakeholders through innovative strategies.

About the Role:
As a Process Instrumentation, Automation, and Controls Business Developer , you will promote our Process Instrumentation, Automation, and Control products to our current customers and propose solutions to new customers. You’ll engage with end users, OEMs, system integrators, consulting engineers, and our branch network to ensure that our Process Automation product solutions are well represented and supported.
What to expect in the role
- Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans for new and existing customers. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to drive sales of technical products.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional support, identify customer needs, and ensure positive experiences. Facilitate communication between customers and suppliers and offer technical support.
- Quotations: Assist in determining technical specifications, preparing quotations, and following up on opportunities.
- Internal Relations: Support branch sales teams with technical expertise and conduct joint sales calls. Collaborate with Technical Inside Sales for accurate pricing and product data.
- Training: Create and deliver training materials and sessions for customers and internal teams. Coordinate technical supplier training for branch staff.
- Quality Control: Take action to prevent quality issues, document problems, and ensure high standards are maintained.
Ideal candidate profile
- Diploma or degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in the technical industry (Process Instrumentation, Automation, and Control).
- 3+ years in a technical outside sales role.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and cloud-based platforms like Teams and CRM systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including delivering presentations.
- Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and respect cultural diversity.
- Reliable transportation is required.
