Scope of Work – Tasks to be Covered
1️⃣ Build Phase – Pre-Installation Activities:
Verify & Validate the Bill of Materials (active & passive components).
Receive and Inspect network equipment (switches, APs, controllers, firewalls).
Rack and Stack devices in designated positions as per the layout plan.
Cable Management: Identify and label network cables for installation.
Power Setup: Verify available PDU sockets and install redundant power sources if required.
Provide Console Access for our remote engineers to configure the devices.
2️⃣ Cutover Phase – Installation & Migration Activities:
Physically replace & install network devices , including:
• Switches (Core, Distribution, and Access Switches)
• Wireless Access Points (Ceiling/Wall Mounted)
• Gateway Controllers
• Firewalls
Cable Patching:
• Perform inter-rack & intra-rack patching with copper and fiber cables.
• Ensure neat dressing and labeling of cables inside the racks.
Swapping Connections: Migrate endpoint connections from old to new switches.
Testing: Conduct power-on and connectivity tests for all installed devices.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Work with on-site contacts to verify device functionality.
Document Installation & Spare Materials: Submit a list of installed devices and leftover materials.
Take Before & After Photos of racks, patch panels, and cabling.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is a nationally and internationally recognized academic health centre with multiple sites across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As part of a major digital and clinical transformation, Sunnybrook is launching Project REACH, a multi-year initiative to implement a new health information system (HIS) across all campuses and satellite sites. Project REACH is rooted in clinical transformation and care redesign. Led by the Clinical Informatics Team, the project aims to enhance patient care, improve clinical workflows, and better support our care teams.
Network Analyst is responsible for executing the physical and logical network setup required for the successful rollout of a new Hospital Information System (HIS). This includes the configuration, installation, and validation of network components across clinical, administrative, and technical environments. Working closely with IT leadership, vendors, and HIS implementation teams, the Network Analyst will ensure all network elements are correctly deployed to meet the demands of a high-availability, secure healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the planning and implementation of HIS-related network infrastructure across hospital sites.
Install, configure, and test routers, switches, wireless access points, and other network hardware to support HIS requirements.
Set up secure LAN/WAN environments with appropriate VLANs, QoS policies, and segmentation to isolate HIS traffic.
Support the deployment of network infrastructure in patient care areas, data centers, clinics, and remote facilities.
Coordinate network drops, cabling, and hardware installations with facilities, contractors, and vendors.
Validate HIS device connectivity (e.g., workstations, tablets, printers, and clinical devices) during network setup.
Work with the cybersecurity team to enforce security protocols, firewall rules, and access controls aligned with HIS architecture.
Perform pre-go-live network readiness assessments including signal strength testing, throughput checks, and redundancy validation.
Support VPN configurations, remote access policies, and secure external connectivity to cloud-based HIS services.
Document physical and logical network layouts, IP schemes, and connectivity maps related to HIS deployment.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and remediation of network issues during HIS rollout phases, including cutover and go-live.
Participate in go-live support efforts and post-implementation monitoring and stabilization activities.
Collaborate with vendors, cloud providers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure network connectivity to HIS cloud environments.
Proficient with configuration and management of Cisco , Aruba , Palo Alto or similar networking platforms.
Collaborate with clinical informatics and application teams to ensure network performance meets HIS workflow demands.
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Certifications:
Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Palo Alto PCNSE or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Aruba, Cisco Meraki) are assets.
Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience in network installation, deployment, or infrastructure rollouts in enterprise or healthcare settings.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

Skills and Abilities:
Must have: 3+ years working with Palo Alto Firewall.
Must have: 3+ years working with Cisco ISE.
At least one vendor certification (with non-entry-level preferred) in the Network Security arena (Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE preferred, Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, Juniper JNCIA-SEC/JNCIS-SEC, etc.) or equivalent experience.
