As a S. Network Security Engineer, you will be reporting to the Network Security Manager to implement and support a wide variety of network and security technologies, combining deep knowledge of technology infrastructure to support a seamless experience for internal and external customers. This will include participating in the design, deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of Network Security technologies such as NGFW, IPS/IDS, NAC, LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, and Cloud networking technologies within Information Technology.



Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting cloud network and security infrastructure solutions, including hybrid cloud connectivity, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC VPN, etc.
  • Responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco Firepower and Juniper firewalls.
  • Responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting IP Networking. Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), Segment Routing, QoS, IP VPN, VPLS, EVPN, VxLAN, NAT, etc.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, isolate and correct service-affecting issues on the network in areas including but not limited to: routing protocols, routers, switches, firewall administration, MPLS, BGP, VPN, load balancing.
  • Responsible for building, interconnecting, and supporting networks with one of the cloud providers - Regions and Availability Zones. Including working knowledge and hands-on experience of VPC connectivity, Transit Gateway, Direct link/connect methodologies.
  • Conduct research, analyze, recommend, implement, troubleshoot for SDWAN infrastructure (implementation and troubleshooting) (Fortinet and Zscaler products)
  • Perform the execution of day-to-day networking operations to guarantee network availability, stability, and serviceability with the least amount of downtime possible.
  • Design, maintain the network infrastructure services, including the installation, architecture, design, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and security software and hardware in a mixed vendor environment.
  • Review assigned service requests daily, follow up and provide status updates to clients; effectively maintain service delivery status and backlog.
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects, including design, configuration, and testing of technical solutions for enterprise-wide projects.
  • Work with vendors, customers, partners, providers, and peer technical staff on implementation, optimization, and security of Network and Security system. This includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting infrastructure and services including routers, switches, access points, load balancers in both an on -premises environment and an Cloud environment, layer 7 firewalls, remote access solutions and site connectivity
  • Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new software, hardware, tools, systems, and processes to increase efficiency, lower total cost of ownership, and improve performance.
  • Perform infrastructure maintenance and upgrades to client environments.
  • Provide incident management and support to the critical issues escalated by Network Security Services Operations, including internal and external communications, team coordination of repair and then root cause analysis efforts.
  • Create and review the documentation of the current Network Architecture and develop Network solutions to enhance existing services.
  • Perform infrastructure maintenance and upgrades to client environments.
  • Perform technical assessments using industry standard toolsets for network, server, and security architectures.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and be able to respond to critical or high severity alerts after hours and follow documented steps to address such issues.
  • Participate with on demand after hours change implementation for new initiatives and or in support of incident management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Must have 10+ years experience working in large enterprises implementing hybrid cloud connectivity and enterprise security needs in the network context.

**Overview of The Role:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Network Analyst specialized in network security to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with microsegmentation concepts and tools (ex: Illumio, Guardicore) and a good understanding of firewall principles, rules, and traffic flow. Manages the support process and escalations to ensure efficient resumption of operational processes when issues occur, including root cause analysis in response to critical incidents, to understand, document and plan remedial actions to prevent reoccurrence. Including on call after hour support rotation
- Security: Monitor network security measures to protect data, systems, and network integrity. Collaboration with cybersecurity for Incident Response and cybersecurity investigation
- Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance and make recommendations for improvements. Regularly update network configurations and firmware.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with applications owners and other IT, security and operations teams to integrate microsegmentation with existing & new network infrastructure. Provide training and support to teams on microsegmentation and firewall management best practices.

**You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:**

- College diploma in the field of Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of equivalent work experience in a network position
- Certifications: Relevant network and security certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISSP) are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Network Analyst, network Administrator or similar role, with a focus on microsegmentation or with traffic flow analysis and understanding
- Experience with microsegmentation tools and concepts (e.g. Illumio, Guardicore, VMware NSX, etc.).

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Existing relationships within the region, including top accounts and reseller partners

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $256000 - $352000/YR. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Intermediate/Senior Network Engineer to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade network infrastructures across on-premises and cloud environments. You will play a key role in ensuring network performance, security, and scalability, while contributing to the delivery of reliable and efficient hybrid connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities


  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Build and manage highly available, secure, and scalable network architectures, including WAN, LAN, and cloud networking (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet).
  • Configure and support network appliances such as firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN concentrators.
  • Automate network provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Python-based scripts.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize traffic flow and reliability.

Required Qualifications


  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and administration (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience managing networking infrastructure in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, NAT, and load balancing.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud networking (e.g., Azure VNet, AWS VPC), and virtual network appliances is a strong plus.
  • Experience with network monitoring and logging tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, or similar) is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Certifications in one or more of the following areas: - Cisco CCNP and/or CCIE - F5 (F5-CA/LTM/GTM/APM) - Aruba - Palo Alto Network (Certified Network Security Engineer) - ISC (CCSP or CISSP) - Fortinet Product line Juniper Vmware NSX

**Primary Responsibilities**

- Design, implement, and manage Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and security policies across distributed sites
- Configure and maintain Dell and Cisco networking hardware (switches, routers, WAPs) across LAN/WAN environments
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation tools for network configuration, monitoring, and reporting
- Support and troubleshoot OSPF and BGP routing between sites and partners
- Deploy and manage secure VPNs for remote access and site-to-site connectivity
- Implement Wi-Fi network designs for multi-site environments, ensuring reliability, coverage, and security
- Manage Wi-Fi controllers, SSID policies, guest access, and wireless performance analytics
- Support Linux-based network services, containerized apps (e.g., Docker), and automation pipelines
- Collaborate on infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for network configurations and reproducibility
- Monitor and respond to network security events and support incident response
- Maintain clear network documentation, diagrams, and change logs
- Travel regularly to support infrastructure at FGF Brands facilities (Ontario and beyond)

**Required Experience**



- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and security roles
- Strong experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and security appliances
- Proficient with Cisco and Dell switch/router configurations (CLI required)
- Deep understanding of OSPF, BGP, and dynamic routing behavior in enterprise networks
- Experience with Python for automation, scripting, or network management APIs
- Solid Linux experience (Ubuntu/RHEL-based) and basic shell scripting
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes basics)
- Experience designing and configuring Wi-Fi networks (multi-site, controller-based, and WPA2/3 policies)
- Knowledge of NAT, ACLs, VLAN segmentation, and Layer 3 firewalling
- Experience with SD-WAN, preferably Fortinet Secure SD-WAN
- Certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNP, or CompTIA Network+/Security+ are strong assets
- Strong documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able and willing to travel between sites as needed
