As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. A minimum of 3 years of recent acute experience managing complex Women’s Health cases, including diseases, gynecology, labor and delivery, urogynecology, surgical and/or PAP tests in a tertiary care setting is required. Proficiency with Connect Care and Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory clinic setting, supporting care for a primarily mobile patient population with rooming and mobility needs coordinated by Interdisciplinary team members. Strong physical stamina and ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly. Comfortable navigating large facilities and transitioning between physical positions frequently. This role requires a professional who is comfortable with significant walking, regular transitions between seated, standing, and other physical positions, and frequent movement across various departments or buildings.
Experience applying evidence-based practice standards in a clinical setting would be highly beneficial. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is advantageous. A proven capacity to build respectful and effective relationships with clients and members of a multidisciplinary team is valued. Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, organizational, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills are considered an asset.
