We are looking for an individual who not only loves working with the senior population but also shows a passion for providing the highest quality of nursing and wound care.
As the LPN, you will be expected to be able to work in both an individual and team capacity according to specific client needs. This position provided the opportunity to work in client homes as well as senior facilities. The LPN reports to the owners and hiring team of Senior Helpers, and when such instances dictate, the patient care manager of a facility.
Requirements
- Active registration with CLPNA – must be in good standing with CLPNA
- Current BLS certification (BCLS-HCP)
- Recent Vulnerable Sector clearance from police
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work to full scope of practice as set out by the CLPNA
- Must be able to perform both basic and complex wound care
- Demonstrated expertise in wound assessment, treatment, and management, including experience with various wound types and dressings.
- Skilled in educating patients and caregivers on wound care techniques, infection prevention, and self-management
- Strong communication skills
- Strong skills in English – both verbal and writer
- Additional languages an asset
- Compassionate and caring attitude
- Proficient in charting/documentation
