Who You Are
Mikisew is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Red Seal Plumber/Oil Burner Technician,you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and installing both plumbing systems and oil heating systems across our community. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of our residential, commercial, and public facilities. You will work closely with a team of skilled professionals who are committed to providing top-notch services to our community members.
This position is based in Fort Chipewyan, AB
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute plumbing projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Provide exceptional customer service while addressing the plumbing needs of community members.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications
Journeyman Plumber certification or equivalent.
Red Seal Plumber certification is required.
Oil Burner Technician certification
A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Plumber, with experience in oil burner servicing a plus.
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, oil burner installation/maintenance codes, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing both plumbing and oil burner issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd., is seeking an experienced Oil Field Operator to support daily field production operations near Grande Prairie. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, safety-first team where your field knowledge and local experience will have a direct impact.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations: Monitor and operate oil field equipment, including wells, separators, tanks, and pumps, to ensure consistent production and safe operation.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct basic field-level maintenance and report mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Field Inspections: Perform well checks, read meters, collect samples, and monitor tank levels to maintain operational efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues with production systems, including artificial lift equipment.
Production Optimization: Adjust settings on pump jacks, plunger lifts, and other equipment to maximize output and efficiency.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to environmental, safety, and health protocols – especially in sour gas environments.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of production data, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
Team Collaboration: Communicate regularly with foremen, engineers, and control room staff to ensure alignment and safety.
Emergency Response: Participate in drills and respond effectively to field emergencies or unexpected equipment failures.
Field-Experienced: Proven experience in oil field operations with exposure to pump jacks, plunger lifts, tank batteries, and field-level troubleshooting.
Safety-Focused: Demonstrated commitment to safe operating practices and compliance, ideally with sour gas handling experience.
Technically Capable: Able to work with SCADA systems, conduct field diagnostics, and perform mechanical adjustments as needed.
Problem Solver: Resourceful and confident in identifying and resolving production and equipment issues in remote locations.
Local Resident: Must live within a commuting radius of Grande Prairie – this is a local position with no accommodations or fly-in provided.

- Work on a variety of oil and gas projects for domestic and international clients. The scope of the projects will vary from FEED studies, modular packages and full turnkey EPFC projects.
- Acquire in-depth technical expertise in oil and gas processing
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, including delegation, checking, and authentication of professional work products.
- Become a critical decision maker while working with a multidisciplinary team of engineering and design leads
- Develop and build relationships with clients
- Gain practical experience by overseeing the fabrication and assembly of your projects in the Propak, Airdrie facilities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineer registered and in good standing with Alberta Professional Engineers, and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or eligible for membership.
- 4+ years of experience in oil and gas processing with specific experience in gas processing, oil processing, and water treating required.
- Experience working with Glycol Dehydration, Oil Processing, and Gas Compression is considered an asset.
- EPC and/or Fabricator experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communications skills required to interact with client and internal team members
- Experience working with HYSYS and other engineering softwares (BR&E ProMax, VMGSim Symmetry, Flare System Analyzer, OLI)
- Experience with programming, or DeltaV is considered an asset.
- Experience with commissioning and startup is considered an asset
- Experience with typical process deliverables (PFD, HMB, P&ID, Line List, Design Basis Memorandum, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control Narratives, Datasheets, Hydraulics, Line Sizing)
- Valid Passport for Travel to United States of America
