**About the Role**
We're looking for reliable and motivated **Packaging Operators** to join our manufacturing team in **Brockville, Ontario** . In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping production moving - loading materials, monitoring equipment, unloading finished products, and ensuring accurate documentation. You'll be trained on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and work alongside a supportive team to deliver high-quality products that make a real impact.

Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of packaging equipment and facilitate improvements to meet the production schedule. Ensure proper clean-up, parts and tools are put away when activities are complete.
Identify routine and unique problems with equipment.
Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems.
May implement solution or change to equipment operation.

Communicate between shifts with other mechanics and supervisor of key issues or potential issues.
Identify and recommend new order and re-order of equipment parts.

**How will you make an impact**

Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of packaging equipment and facilitate improvements to meet the production schedule. Ensure product quality meets the standards of Patheon, our clients, and applicable regulatory agencies including, but not limited to the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate (HPFBI), United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and European Medicines Agency (EMEA).
**Shift schedule: 12 hour Continental shift including weekends**
**What will you do?**
Sets up, take down and relocate all packaging equipment using Set Up Work Instructions. Ensure lines are operating to meet production schedule and targets.
Responsible for repairs, running adjustments, preventative and breakdown maintenance and trouble shooting.
Ensure accurate process documentation and down-time activities.
Ensure proper clean-up, parts and tools are put away when activities are complete.
Identify routine and unique problems with equipment.
Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems.
May implement solution or change to equipment operation.
Validate that implementation of solution is correct and equipment is operating and working properly.
Communicate between shifts with other mechanics and supervisor of key issues or potential issues.
Identify and recommend new order and re-order of equipment parts.
Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
Perform alternating or rotating shift work.

**Education:**
High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required
**Experience:**
Minimum 5 years of previous experience in a packaging environment, 1 of which includes maintenance related activities within a pharmaceutical packaging environment.

Job Description
The role of a Packaging & Distribution Agent involves working across two main locations, conveniently connected by a short skytrain ride. The primary office is based in Burnaby, where you will work in the 'Receiving & Repairs' area. Here, you will manage incoming shipments, diagnose product issues, and prepare shipments. The second location is a small warehouse in Vancouver, dealing primarily with retail shipments and returns.
Responsibilities
+ Receive and process incoming shipments from UPS, ensuring all packages are accounted for.
+ Open packages and verify contents against customer orders in the computer system.
+ Diagnose issues with defective products and perform basic troubleshooting.
+ Log decisions for product fixes and prepare shipments accordingly.
+ Organize returned parts for shipment back to suppliers in China or Japan.
+ Maintain and organize work areas, supporting 5s and Lean concepts.
+ Operate manual pallet jacks to move pallets and organize inventory in the warehouse.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software.
+ Ability to complete basic forms, logs, and written documents in English.
+ Basic math skills for counting, kitting, and picking tasks.
