POSITION
Under the guidance of the Senior Law Enforcement Officer, the Law Enforcement Officer is responsible for the enforcement of the Williams Lake First Nation's (WLFN) laws, programs, and initiatives through a proactive, sustainable, trauma-informed, holistic approach to community safety. Education Required
- Bylaw Certificate.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Law Enforcement
- Monitor and ensure compliance with respect to the various WLFN policies and laws, such as the WLFN Fire Protection Law, WLFN Trespass & Nuisance Law, WLFN Cannabis Law, WLFN Land Code, Animal Control, and WLFN Matrimonial Real Property Law in the WLFN community.
- Investigate and track complaint areas and manage files to completion.
- Undertake enforcement duties, including the issuing of fixed penalties for offenses.
- Liaises with other stakeholders, including government agencies, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies, including (but not limited to) RCMP, City of Williams Lake, 150 Mile House Fire Department, Ministry of Environment, BC Conservation, and BC Corrections.
- Work with the WLFN Indigenous Policing Services (IPS) Constable (RCMP member assigned to WLFN to support prevention and promote relationships).
- Collaborate with the WLFN Social Development and Health Station team to provide support services and referrals to child or youth endangerment issues.
- Inspect properties to determine compliance with WLFN Housing policy in conjunction with the Housing department.
- Attend and give evidence in court, if required.
- Research and prepare correspondence, including Orders to Comply.
- Follow up with concerns from staff regarding safety issues with clients.
- Promote public safety in all areas including vehicle safety, ATV, snowmobile safety, bicycle safety, pedestrian safety, etc.
- Discuss law requirements with individuals involved and attempt to reach an understanding and obtain voluntary compliance with the law.
- Patrol community during work hours to ensure safety. Work with PD Security after hours as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Deliver BCRs, eviction notices, etc. when requested.
- Be available to discuss key community issues with elected officials and the CAO during duly convened Council meetings.
- Supports the mission, vision, and values of Williams Lake First Nation.
- Contributes to WLFNs ongoing success by accomplishing other duties as required or assigned.
Community Safety
- Provide a visible presence in our communities in order to reduce the fear of crime and reassure local people and make them feel safe and proud of where they live.
- Develop community spirit, by being approachable, responsive and by communicating positive news and dealing with problems quickly and professionally.
- Support vulnerable residents of all ages in a courteous and sensitive manner.
- Develop links with youth and other community groups and work with them to cut down on disorder.
- Encourage residents to take responsibility for reporting anti-social behavior and the outcomes of such behavior.
- Promote a caring, helpful, and unbiased attitude towards residents, visitors, the general public and remain polite and courteous.
- Report community safety issues raised by members, or environmental problems they see around them e.g. incidents, hazards, defects, fly-tipping, dog fouling, graffiti, litter, and vandalism.
- Write concise reports following incidents and process information accurately.
- Participate and assist in community-based events or at local initiatives.
- Undertake basic administrative and clerical duties as required.
- Monitor situations using CCTV or other equipment.
- Attend community-based meetings as directed, often in the evening.

The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) hosts conventions, tradeshows, and meetings for national, international, and local groups. We are currently looking to fill two full-time Security Services Agent positions in our Security Services Department.
The mandate of Security Services is to deliver professional and results-oriented security services to the CTCC business units, visitors, and clients, including, but not limited to, life safety and emergency response.
Reporting to the Manager, Security Services and Team Lead, the Security Services Agent is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of people and property within and surrounding the CTCC, +15 connections, and for providing ancillary business and customer services to other staff members, clients, and the public.
Due to the dynamic nature of this position, a high level of critical-thinking skills is required to meet the standards of this position and adequately perform situational risk and event-related assessments, interact with a variety of clientele, and implement sound judgment in situations requiring the use of discretion.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Under guidance and direction from the Manager, Security Services and Team Lead, Security Services, perform security operations for the CTCC while functioning ethically, efficiently, effectively, and with the utmost professionalism.
- Monitor, investigate, patrol, and protect persons and/or property to deter or detect loss for persons, property, or premises under the care and control of the CTCC.
- Perform investigations pertaining to, but not limited to, loss of or damage to property, premises, and/or persons under the care and control of the CTCC.
- While operating within the legal authority and the policies/procedures of the CTCC, conduct searches of the person(s), personal property, or premises for the purpose of protection or loss prevention.

- Comply with legislation governing security and investigative services as defined in the Security Services and Investigators Act, the Security Services and Investigators Regulations, and the Security Services and Investigators Act Ministerial Regulations, including but not limited to maintaining license status, training qualifications, authorized equipment, reporting requirements, complaint processes and Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrate an understanding of customer requirements and provide outstanding quality of service in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Complete assigned duties in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Facilitate response to emergency operations and incident response, including assuming the role of Incident Commander in a traditional Incident Command System setting.

- Maintain access control by managing access control systems, including but not limited to creating, issuing, and tracking instruments of access control (cards, locks, keys).

- Acquire and maintain adequate certification or training as required.
- Adhere to CTCC and Occupational Health & Safety regulations and performance standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, service providers, employees, and other stakeholders.

Requirements
To be considered for the listed position of Security Services Agent, all applicants must:
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada

What we expect of you:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or 3-year diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Technology related field and 7 years of security experience in a client-focused environment, and/or working in security operations center, and at least 2 years of experience leading projects and initiatives with a significant and material focus on cybersecurity that improved and transformed the business, OR
- 11 years total of Information Technology experience to include 7 years of security experience in a client-focused environment, and/or working in security operations center, and at least 2 years of experience leading projects and initiatives with a significant and material focus on cybersecurity that improved and transformed the business
- At least 2 years of experience with people, project or customer account leadership.
- At least 3 technical advanced or expert level certifications in Managed Security Services disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Microsoft SC-200, SC-100, SC-300, SC-400; CCNP Security, CyberOps Professional, CCIE Security; Palo Alto PCNSE, Cortex XDR-PMXdC; IBM QRadar Security: Administrator, Deployment Professional; SANS GCIA, GCIH, GSOM, Splunk, CrowdStrike Falcon: CCCS, CCFR, CCFH, CCFA; CISM, CISA. CEH; or similar technology certifications
- Understanding of IT processes, SOC/NOC processes and procedures; Knowledge of ITIL and COBIT frameworks with relevant certification is a plus.
- The position is part of a 7-day per week, 24-hour per day managed services operations. Must be available to work outside of the regular business hours which may include weekends and holidays.
- Excellent prioritization / and time management skills, including the ability to manage their time without supervision to focus on priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience managing and leading IT infrastructure and Information Systems Design or support involving hardware, software and services at an enterprise level for at least one discipline in the Managed Security Services portfolio

Job Summary
The Sr. Analyst provides second-level technical client support such as: cyber security analysis of detected anomalies; deep analysis of the operating system; dealing with system crashes and bug fixes; handling troubleshooting; packets captures; configurations; restoring from back up; repair for appliances, networks, and infrastructure, and other system issues for one or more of three particular disciplines: Network Security, Information Security, and/or Endpoint Security; and brings an established repository of technical expertise to act as a Subject Matter Expert.
