Job Description

Job Description

Ting Internet is a leading fiber Internet provider in the United States, delivering future-proof internet in over a dozen Ting Towns across the country.

As part of Tucows (NASDAQ:TCX, TSX:TC), Ting is backed by outstanding resources and talent. We embrace a people-first philosophy that is rooted in respect, trust, and flexibility. We believe that whatever works for our employees is what works best for us.

The work we do genuinely changes lives. If this sounds exciting, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a performance marketer who thrives at the intersection of experimentation and execution. You'll manage a key part of our paid media portfolio—building, launching, and optimizing campaigns that drive growth across local markets.

This isn't a siloed media-buying role. You'll work full-funnel: shaping offers, collaborating on creative, refining targeting, and tracking real outcomes—not just impressions or clicks.

Ting is in a high-growth phase, expanding our fiber footprint and subscriber base across diverse markets. You'll play a critical role in how we scale efficiently, hit CAC targets, and turn local awareness into lasting customer relationships.

You'll also help bring our modular, city-specific marketing system to life—designing campaigns that feel local while scaling what works. With strong support from in-house creatives, lifecycle marketers, and data analysts, you'll connect the dots and raise the bar.

This role is a remote position for applicants based in Canada or the USA.

Job Duties
  • Own the end-to-end execution of paid media campaigns within platforms like Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit and others—supporting broader marketing campaigns and business objectives.
  • Align campaigns to specific business goals: qualified address checks, fiber orders, CAC efficiency
  • Optimize performance through structured A/B testing—audiences, creative, offers, and placements
  • Translate loose or incomplete briefs into high-performing campaigns, grounded in insight
  • Collaborate with strategists, designers and copywriters to develop and evolve campaign creative to meet objectives
  • Partner with lifecycle, GTM, and content teams to build seamless, full-funnel experiences
  • Support landing page testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) using tools like VWO
  • QA and manage campaign tagging: UTMs, pixels, and conversion events
  • Contribute to reporting and attribution using Looker, GA4, and Google Tag Manager
  • Explore and evaluate new media channels and tactics for growth, efficiency, or learning
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Channel ownership mindset with a strong grasp of performance marketing strategy
  • Hands-on experience with ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, etc.)
  • Strong data literacy—you can interpret trends, define hypotheses, and act on insights
  • Working knowledge of ad tracking, attribution models, and platform analytics
  • Fluency in A/B testing and optimization frameworks
  • Clear communicator who can brief designers, collaborate with content teams, and share findings across stakeholders
  • Comfort in ambiguity—can move fast with incomplete inputs and evolve with feedback
  • Enthusiasm for modular, city-specific marketing and localized media strategy
  • Curiosity for media innovation—new tools, formats, and tactics excite you
  • High attention to detail with a bias for action and continuous improvement
Qualifications Required
  • 2-4 years of experience in performance marketing, ideally B2C or local/regional
  • Proven success managing and optimizing campaigns within ad platforms
  • Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with conversion rate optimization and landing page testing tools like VWO
  • Ability to QA tracking and manage performance reporting
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creative, content, and lifecycle teams
  • Bonus: Experience with local or address-level targeting in a national brand context
  • Bonus: Familiarity with telecom, utilities, or subscription-based business models

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $0,000 USD for US residents OR 60,000 - 65,000 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications. Tucows believes in a total rewards offering that includes fair compensation and generous benefits. Learn more about Tucows Benefits.

Want to know more about what we stand for? At Ting and Tucows we care about protecting the open Internet, narrowing digital divide, and supporting fairness and equality.

We also know that diversity drives innovation. We are committed to inclusion across race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status or disability status. We celebrate multiple approaches and diverse points of view.

We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request an accommodation.
