Role Summary:
The Physical Security Administrative Support role will focus on key areas such as reception duties, bilingual switchboard, access administration, customer service, and advanced security project assistance.
Under the guidance of the Lead Business Support Security Specialist, the Physical Security Administrative Support role is a crucial member of the Business Support Program. This role will be required to balance competing priorities such as bilingual switchboard, on-site assistance for clients and employees, assisting with email inquiries and large initiatives as required. We are looking for a candidate that is forward thinking, looks to question and enhance processes, and to provide a best-in-class customer experience to all clients and staff.
Main Accountabilities:
- Operate a bilingual multi-line switchboard phone system and transfer the calls accordingly.
- Assisting and directing clients, visitors, staff, and vendors upon arrival, and managing the logbook.
- Assisting with reception coverage, email inquiries and alarm testing.
- Contribute to program development, encourage knowledge and idea sharing through collaboration with peers.
- Work closely with the Tech Solution team by processing requests, distributing passes, and coordinating other program elements as needed.

- Fluency in spoken and written French and English, with the ability to produce reports and communicate with customers and other stakeholders in both languages, as required by the position
- Experience with access control and access control systems.

- Have one or more professional certifications such as ASIS Board Certification (PSP, CPP) or other recognized credentials (e.g., PMP, CSPM).
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience with elements listed in Key Responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders. Bilingualism is a desirable asset for this role.

Loss Prevention Physical Security Specialist
The Loss Prevention Physical Security Specialist is member of the Loss Prevention Asset Protection team providing technical expertise, technical project fulfillment, and administration and technical services on Loss Prevention systems such as physical security hardware, keys and tokens, locking systems, access control, protection devices, and tactical merchandising supplies, as well as traditional security alarm systems.
The Loss Prevention Physical Security Specialists will work within our locksmith shop, fulfilling customer requests and ensuring timely delivery of security tools and supplies to our customers.
The Loss Prevention Physical Security Technical Specialist will provide support for internal stakeholder groups who use our Loss Prevention systems, security devices and product protection options. In addition, the LP Physical Security Specialist will fulfill or assign requests to vendors for changes and adjustments to access.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Protect all company assets and reduce losses.
- Conduct pinning and servicing of locks and cutting of keys (in workshop or on-site).
- Maintain key records, key controls, system logs, and system records.
- Maintain, prepare, deploy physical security devices and hardware such as keys, display security devices, locks, cash boxes, security signage, and other loss prevention tools.
- Administer access credentials and maintain loss prevention systems.
- Process access control and access request.
- Process internal security clearances.
- Monitor and order LP hardware and workshop supplies.
- Recommend security solutions to reduce risk and loss.
- Develop training materials to assist in the development of end user skills, provide support to department training efforts as required.
- Participate in vendor relationships related to utilization of equipment, tools, and services.
- Maintain Loss Prevention Systems logs and records, ensuring all reports and files meet company standard.
- Monitor the use of systems to ensure policies and procedures are followed and report on any deficiencies.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all store management and staff
- Develop technology solutions to security challenges, including product protection, and make recommendations for new Loss Prevention systems.
- Work with the Asset Protection security design team on store development projects to plan a facility security strategy and design Loss Prevention systems to protect those facilities.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders integrating with Loss Prevention Systems on approved projects.
- Attend store locations to conduct site inspections of systems under development, and established systems for proper functioning.
- Detect, assess, and develop plans to address systems failures or maintenance issues.
- Support security systems and programs for other company business units, company facilities, and high value assets, as part of the Corporate Security Team.
- Represent company loss prevention objectives during projects and interdepartmental meetings.
- Carry communication tools (mobile phone, pager) and respond to after-hours emergencies, and alarm calls as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of any issues related to the company or loss prevention department.
- Will travel to any company location or on behalf of company to industry events when required.

What Would You Do?
Palliser Furniture Ltd. is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Security Officer. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe environment for all who access Palliser Furniture properties and provide the security function for all Winnipeg facilities, including products, employees, and visitors, while maintaining professionalism, respect, and customer service.
The duties and responsibilities of this position would include:
- Follow the "Standard Operating Procedures" to control access to Palliser property, including registration of visitors and trailers and prevents and/or detects breeches in the security as it pertains to Palliser policies and the law.
- Provides directions to visitors to the property including ambulance, fire, and police.
- Use security cameras on a regular basis throughout the day and evening shifts.
- Documents and controls removal of product from Palliser property and distributed documents to truck drivers for shipments of Palliser product.
- Daily assessment of security risks of the site each day taking into account information such as layoffs and terminations.
- Maintains patrols of areas internally and externally to Palliser property based on the "Site Standing Orders" including checking of boilers, sprinklers, doors, gates, etc.
- May conduct property searches (e.g. lockers, vehicles, purses) based on a directive from divisional management/security supervisor according to Search and Seizure Policy.
- Deals with employee conflicts (i.e. scratch to a vehicle, someone bothering an employee) and negotiates with individuals who may be hostile or have weapons, drugs in their possession on Palliser property.
- Ensure that Custom and Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CT-PAT) regulations have been followed with respect to sealing of trailers and that the drivers present proper paperwork when accessing or leaving the property.
- Resolves any discrepancies with shipping leaders and may place a load on hold.
- May assist the supervisor in internal or external investigations related to security.
- Handout out warning tickets to vehicles that are parked where they should not be.
- Respond to emergency situations such as bomb threats, situations of fire, police or crowd control.
What Do You Bring?
- Must be available to work any shifts during the week (No shifts at night, the weekends, or on the statutory holidays).
- Previous experience in a security role.
- Must hold a valid Manitoba Government Security License
- Clear Criminal Background Check
- First Aid and CPR
- Exposure to methods of crowd control
- Experience in working with public
- Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts both verbally and in writing.
- Flexible and available for on-call shifts.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

As a Healthcare Security Officer , you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.
- Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
- Access Control : Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.

- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C (CSA-approved vendor)

- Ability to work 12-hour rotational shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00), including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform physical duties (patrolling, standing, walking, responding to incidents)
- Willing to complete pre-requisite UoF/MOAB training if certifications not already held (with 6-month commitment)
- High school diploma / GED
- Current certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
(Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position – Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability)
