Cleaver Brooks is looking for an Assembler-Pipefitting to join our team in Stratford, ON. The Assembler-Pipefitting is responsible for assembling and installing pipes and related components according to specifications in various industrial settings. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and teamwork.

Essential functions:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layouts and assembly procedures.
• Measure and cut pipes to required lengths using various tools such as pipe cutters, saws, and torches.
• Thread, groove, bend, and shape pipes using manual or powered tools and machines.
• Clean, deburr, and prepare pipe ends.
• Install and secure pipes in position by using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Assemble and install pipe fittings, valves, and other components such as pumps and compressors.
• Inspect and test installed systems for leaks, pressure, and alignment.
• Perform repairs or modifications to existing pipe systems as necessary.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Basic Requirements:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or vocational training in pipefitting is preferred.

Experience:

• Proven experience as an Industrial Pipefitting Assembler or a similar role.
• Solid knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficient in cutting, threading, and bending pipes.

Position Summary

The pipefitter will analyze engineering drawings to determine the kind of pipe required and the most efficient installation layout. The pipefitter will cut, bend and join the pipes by employing bending machines, flame cutters and welding devices to ensure properly fitting pipes that allow for the safe, smooth flow of high pressure substances.

Responsibilities

• Plans pipe system layout, installation or repair according to specifications;
• Cuts, hammers, and threads pipe to specifications, and bend tubing using tools such as saws, and pipe threaders and benders;
• Attaches pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment's;
• Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems and be able to tune them
• Modifies and maintains pipe systems and related machines and equipment components following specifications;

The candidate would be responsible for installing and servicing residential and commercial propane equipment up to 400,000 BTUs, performing gas checks and recertifying previous installs, and removing and re installing tanks. Job Summary:

MUST FILL IMMEDIATLEY

We are seeking a Journeyperson Pipe Fitter to join our team. A proven leader, this individual will work with and lead apprentice Pipe Fitters in current and upcoming projects with Single Source Project Management.

The Fitter will be an integral part of the success of the assigned projects. In this position, you will be responsible for working on all aspects of plumbing/pipefitting, industrial back ground preferred. Proven knowledge of commercial boilers, pumps, exchangers, small and large bore piping and pipe fabrication. The main accountabilities of this position will be installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems and infrastructure in a wide variety of energy sector, civil and industrial current and upcoming Single Source projects.

Responsibilities:

• Attend and participate in daily tailgate meetings, completes FLHAs for the work tasks assigned for the day signs in and out of work areas as required and follows all corporate, industry and client guidelines
• The ability to use tools and equipment safely, while abiding by the health and safety rules,
• Using hand tools or machines to perform various activities.
• Reading and interpreting P&ID (piping and instrumentation drawings) and GA's (general assembly) drawings to assemble a process piping system.
• Installing supports, valves, piping, and control systems
• Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe
