As a (TMP) Designer you will beresponsible for creating comprehensive Traffic Planstailored to client needs. The TMP Designer utilizes strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ensuring effective communication with internal teams, clients, and authorities for successful plan implementation. This position contributes to the overall safety and efficiency of projects, aligning with Universal Group's commitment to excellence in traffic management services.


What you will be responsible for:

Traffic Management Planning:

  • Draft site-specific risk assessments, traffic control plans, traffic management plans and category documents for clients in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Design and follow UG design procedures, and meet regulatory requirements when building plans.
  • Produce, submit, and amend associated Permits and/or notices.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and represent UG professionally on matters relating to Traffic Plans.
  • Support the creation of estimates and special events.

Project Management:

  • Manage and follow through large projects efficiently.
  • Assist the project team and wider business with city/municipality permit applications.
  • Proactively build and maintain contractor relationships.
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors as needed.
  • Coordinate with the dispatching, rentals and sales team to ensure smooth customer experience.

Reporting and Data Management:

  • Prepare data for internal and/or external reporting as required.
  • Ensure correct filing of all produced designs & correspondence.

Support and Advice:

  • Provide traffic management advice and support to Operations.

Performance Management:

  • Meet or exceed individual and department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

What we need from you:

  • Previous traffic control experience and a valid TCP Ticket issued by BCCSA is an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of WorkSafeBC Regulations for Traffic Control, Section 18 is an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Alberta traffic control regulations is an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Traffic Management Plans and the Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways as developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is an asset.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Google suite and other required computer applications.
  • Experience with Invarion/RapidPlan Software is considered an asset.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in portfolio and/or project management overseeing and executing on strategic and operational projects, and leading organization change management initiatives with at least 3 years in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience managing complex projects (within mental-health rehabilitation hospital, or healthcare environment preferred)

About the Opportunity  
  • Manages, prepares, assesses and validates the monthly, quarterly, and financial budget reconciliation processes which includes performing financial variance analysis on revenue and operating expenditures and accruals while adhering to tight month end close cycle deliverables
  • Consults with Airport Operations Management to solicit input with respect to aligning strategic initiatives with the annual planning, the preparation of monthly accruals and assisting with general invoice inquiries
  • Acts as key liaison to accounting with respect to attendance of month end meetings, preparation of variance analysis and reporting, as well as key point of contact for audit questions
  • Develops Microsoft Excel based financial models to determine the effect of various scenarios while at the same time determining the impact on Airport Operations strategies, goals, and initiatives
  • Assists in the preparation of presentations and financial systems reports that report on Airport Operations financial and operational performance to Airport Operations management, the Client’s executive team and Board of Directors
  • Conducts research, rationalizes data, and performs quantitative analysis on financial and operational data collaborating with the Manager and Airport Operations Stakeholders
  • Develops and recommends best practice courses of action based on completed financial analysis
  • Develops Key Performance Indicators to measure performance including the creation of presentations, dashboards, and reports
  • Assists in the Planning, Preparation and Development of the Annual Budget 5 Year Plan and monthly rolling forecasting process, including data input of operating plans into Financial Planning Systems

  • Consults with stakeholders and Managers to determine annual operational expense requirements derived from strategic Capital initiatives

  • Manage FESTI’s internal revenue database including revenue database’s integrity, performance, and security, troubleshoot, and resolve issues Reconcile FESTI database to Oracle system on monthly basis, investigate discrepancies and initiate corrective action
  • Support and assist the FESTI Finance Manager in the coordination of the annual audit for private college status
  • Support FESTI Finance Manager in the completion of month end duties and rolling monthly forecast, as well as the calculation and amortization of the FESTI deferred revenue

About You  
  • University degree with a concentration in Business/Commerce, Accounting, Economics and/or Finance and required
  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CA, CMA, CGA) completed or in progress, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with: Budgeting and Forecast development along with monthly financial reporting processes. Practical experience in accounting and financial planning & reporting for a large multifaceted business organization. Familiarity with IFRS is desired.
  • Hands on end user experience with Oracle Financial systems and other analytic tools such as Essbase/Hyperion, Adaptive, and Oracle Discoverer.
  • Experience in successfully managing and completing financial processing tasks and enhanced analytical skills that generate meaningful business insight to an organization
  • Must be able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position

With a minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience, you’ll play a key role in shaping large-scale, transformative projects, including master plans, feasibility studies, area servicing plans, intensification studies, hydraulic modeling assignments, and environmental assessments. Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and provide technical guidance on complex infrastructure planning projects within any or all of our water, wastewater or stormwater practices. 
  • Coordinate efforts within the infrastructure planning team, ensuring smooth execution and exceptional project delivery across various sectors. 
  • Perform specialized technical tasks such as cost estimation, servicing strategy development, and network analysis, leveraging your expertise in water, wastewater, or stormwater infrastructure. 
  • Deliver outstanding project outcomes, from technical reports and client presentations to modeling outputs and GIS mapping. 
  • Take an active role in proposal development, client communication, and relationship management, contributing to GEI’s ongoing success and expansion. 
  • Cultivate and strengthen new and existing client relationships, advancing GEI’s reputation and portfolio in the water/wastewater/stormwater sector. 

 Minimum Qualifications 

  • At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure planning, particularly within the water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.
  • Professional qualifications in engineering, planning, or a related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Canadian/GTA municipalities, servicing analysis, and network analysis.
  • Experience with GTA master planning and Class EA processes.
  • Solid background in municipal engineering design and construction is a plus.
    Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead client-facing interactions and collaborate effectively within diverse project teams.
    • Proficiency in GIS tools, and hydraulic modeling software is a plus

  • Timely and on-budget project delivery.
  • Client satisfaction and strengthened relationships.
