**Overview**
The Production operator works as part of an integral team responsible for the cement manufacturing process in an automated heavy duty industrial facility. The position must act as a key player within the Production Team. Ensure the equipment is functioning properly, operated safely and efficiently. Ensure that all the necessary raw materials and fuels are fed correctly. Ensure that the products produced meet the quality requirements defined in the applicable standards.
Hourly Pay Rate: $33.55
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure the raw materials, intermediate products and fuels are fed correctly through the right place at the right time
+ Inspect, troubleshoot and optimize the operation of the plant's manufacturing equipment.
+ Perform quality control sampling, analysis and reporting for cement and intermediate products produced
+ Ensure the safety of our people and the safe operation of the plant's equipment
+ Ensure production department operations comply with the applicable environmental requirements and regulations
+ Follow standard operating procedures to guarantee safe operations and meet product quality requirements
+ Perform safety field level risk assessments and pre-use inspections on different equipment
+ Report any safety incident, near miss, accident, unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and take the proper immediate actions if required
+ Operate mobile equipment such as: skid steer, forklift, tele handler and articulated dump truck
+ Actively participate in the installation, replacement and/or repair of thermal insulating lining on different equipment when required
**Relationship with Others:**
+ _Control Room Operato_ r - Coordinate and receive instructions. Report operation and equipment conditions, share quality analysis results, and report any safety incident or condition.

**Specific Accountabilities:**
+ _Field Operator:_
+ Feed correctly the raw materials, intermediate products and fuels when they are needed.
+ Inspect equipment during operation to ensure is working properly
+ Troubleshoot equipment failures and work together with the control room operator to troubleshoot process issues.
+ Perform inspections in different points of the production line and provide feedback to control room operator
+ Move material rejects and/or spills when needed
+ Haul and dump Kiln dust to the dumpsite
+ Load kiln dust to trailers to send to customers
+ Report any safety incident, near miss, accident, unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and take the proper immediate actions if required
+ Actively participate in the installation, replacement and/or repair of thermal insulating lining on different equipment when required
+ Report any relevant information or conditions regarding the plant operations to the production coordinator and/or manager
+ _Lab Operator:_
+ Collect samples from different parts of the process and prepare them to be analyzed
+ Run different lab equipment to perform tests to determine the product quality
+ Adjust certain process variables to meet the quality defined parameters provided by the quality department
+ Provide analysis results to the control room operator to adjust process conditions or take any actions if required
+ Fill up quality control and report files
+ Clean the lab equipment and tools used
+ Perform housekeeping in the lab working area
+ Help the field operator with certain tasks when required and/or possible
+ Report any safety incident, near miss, accident, unsafe conditions and/or unsafe behaviors and take the proper immediate actions if required

Job Responsibilities:
- Using the tools provided and the associated work instructions.
- Ensure that established OEE quality standards are achieved within designated cells and workstations.
- Ensure that established OEE performance standards are achieved within designated cells and workstations.
- Ensure that safety standards are maintained within the designated cells and workstations.
- Ensure standard work and associated tools are utilized to meet standards.
- Ensure that all parts are checked according to the established Quality Control Standards using the tools provided.
- Liaise with the Production Supervisor, Cell Leader, Quality Control personnel and other operators on quality and safety concerns.
- Ensure that all environmental requirements are identified and addressed when performing duties.
- Ensure that all safety requirements are being carried out when performing duties.
- Comply with defined Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements.
- Provide support for the continuous improvement initiatives within Techform.

Qualifications:
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent is an asset.

As part of our Production team, you will work in our manufacturing area maintaining and operating our sophisticated automatic Pre-rolls machinery, ensuring quality is met every step of the way. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Production
- Set up, operate, monitor, and tend sophisticated Pre-rolls machines and perform all daily checklists of machinery required for machines functioning and operating to ensure safety and care for machines and personnel
- Load, unload, and assemble parts of different production machine equipment and perform daily in process cleaning
- Perform other Pre-rolls production activities such as quality checking, packaging, and product labeling according to Cannabis regulations and Pure Sunfarms best practices
- Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Pure Sunfarms guidelines, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure that all work areas are clean and organized at all times, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Production Practices (GPP)
Collaboration
- Complete daily production reports and batch record entries following Pure Sunfarms procedures
- Work with Pre-rolls Supervisor regarding potential improvement opportunities in Pre-rolls processes
- Enter inventory transfers and monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished cannabis products in the ERP system, and notify Pre-rolls supervisor of any materials shortages or production downtime factors
- Perform minor troubleshooting, minor machine repair, and basic preventative maintenance when needed and partner with our Facility Maintenance team in resolving issues
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Pre-rolls production area
- Work with different teams to ensure products are processed in a timely manner following Pure Sunfarms procedures and best practices
Safety
- Know, understand, and follow all safety protocols and lead by example in fostering a safe working environment
- Operate production equipment and machinery in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines and best practices
- Ensure timely escalation of all safety concerns on the production floor
OTHER DUTIES
At Pure Sunfarms, we are all growers at heart. Our plants and processes require in-person care and attention to ensure we’re bringing the best our plants and people have to offer to our consumers. This means other duties may arise since we work together to ensure we support all business activities – seed to sale.
This role is on-site, which requires you to work in Pure Sunfarms facility at all times in an operating role or directly supporting operations.
The scheduled shifts and hours for this role is as follow: Monday-Friday morning shift 5:00AM – 2:00PM or evening shift 2:00PM – 11:00PM .

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Flexibility to work on different shift schedules as per as business needs

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Board Production Operator (3 Line) for our gypsum plant, based in Hagersville, Ontario.
It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.
Under the guidance of the Board Foreman, the Board Production Operator (3 Line) conducts the daily operations of Board Line.
Additional responsibilities of the Production Operator include:
- Maintaining production levels, participating in a team environment and working in a manufacturing environment in the safest, most efficient and profitable manner as possible.
- The successful candidate will go through Common Core training and be trained through the operator rate program. Board production employees may train as a Paperwell Operator, Mixer Operator, Knife Operator, and Take Off Operator.
- Assisting in the implementation of USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
- Exercise personal safety, promote and enforce safety among crew members.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Experience in a manufacturing/mining environment preferred
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment
Additional Information:
Hours: rotating continental shifts - 2 days on/2 days off, except weekends when it's 3 days in a row. 2 weeks on day shift/2 weeks on overnight shift.
Pay: $29.89/hr CAD
