**Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts, with 2 weeks of day shifts and 2 weeks of afternoon shifts).

**Position Summary**
Working as a member of the team the Production Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various manufacturing and distribution processes to meet the company and customer's expectations for quality and delivery of products.
This job can involve working on a variety of processes and therefore is split into three levels for training and job grading purposes. A Production Technician will start as a level one and work up to a level three.
**Salary:** $19.00 (hourly)
**Responsibilities:**
+ Operates complex machinery for manufacturing and joining plastic handrails. Performs maintenance, changes dies/extruders, and splices handrails to precise tolerances using hand tools.
+ Operates machinery to manufacture rubber handrails, assembles, splices, reworks defects, and adjusts molding equipment for style changes.
+ Sets up and operates Elevator Cut Line machinery. Retrieves and prepares cable, scans "Inventory Label" and "Cut Label" for accuracy, pulls cable through the "clock," attaches it to the reel, cuts to length, and wraps for shipping and identify parcel with a "Cut ticket"
+ Operates and sets up machines to slit, cut, extrude, join, or pre-assemble rubber materials. Adjusts equipment and changes dies for different styles and sizes.
+ Operates and sets up the bending machine and router to prepare brush holders and other parts.
+ Ensures inventory accuracy by labeling and tracking material discrepancies.
+ Keeps the workplace clean and organized to ensure efficient processes and defect-free products.
+ Handles special projects in the manufacturing areas as needed.
+ Packages finished parts according to approved methods and standards.
+ Health, Safety, and Integrated Management System: Maintains a safe and healthy environment by adhering to company Health & Safety policies, complies with current legislation, follows Draka EHC's IMS procedures to reduce environmental impact, and ensures quality service by upholding Draka EHC standards and ISO procedures.
+ Inspection & Testing: Measures products with analog and digital gauges, visually inspects them against established standards, places suspected non-conforming products on hold, and maintains SPC graphs to adjust processes based on negative trends.
+ Reports & Administration & Other Related Duties: Maintains quality records in compliance with established standards, completes final inspection, inventory accuracy, and productivity reports, and prepares Certificates of Quality as required.
+ Training: May be asked to train other employees as requested by the Production Supervisor.
+ Team Effort: Collaborates with team members to support efforts, achieve team goals, and continuously improve processes and products.
**Knowledge and skill requirements** :
+ Completion of high school.
+ 3 years of experience in production processes using complex machinery is considered an asset.
+ High degree of hand-eye coordination required, with the ability to consistently handle over 35 kg and stand for extended periods.
+ Proven experience in inspection and testing within an ISO 9000-accredited manufacturing company.
+ Solid working knowledge of Quality Concepts, Basic SPC, blueprint reading, and inspection.
+ Proficient in ERP software, Microsoft Word, and email communication.

**What You'll Do**
+ align logs manually,using crowbar, picaroon or other tools and equipment.
+ Stack and strap lumber bundles for drying outdoors
+ Sorting, piling, and transporting lumber during various stages ofwood processing, carry out other wood processing activities.
+ Ensure smooth flow of process throughout sawmill from debarkerentry decks to strapper, assisting other wood processing workers tooperate, maintain and repair various machines and equipment and carry outother wood processing activities

The Technician of Production will work in a line composed of multiple positions. They will be responsible for the following tasks:


  • Follow all procedures and guidelines to make sure machines are assembled according to company standards;
  • Unpack chassis and separate components;

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Production Technician with manufacturing experience. Someone who is knowledgeable, enjoys working with their hands, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and takes pride in doing a good job.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Read and interpret documents such as Assembly drawings, Work Order instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Build crates for shipping of pumps and mixers
  • Balancing of shafts and impellers
  • Assist welders, painters, or other tradespeople on-site
  • Completes fit-up, grinding and deburring operations
  • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
  • Use power and pneumatic tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts, overhead crane, pallet trucks) when needed
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists Welders, Assemblers, and Fitters when required.
  • Back up for painter.

Responsibilities:


  • Clean, and perfect machined parts made of steel, and other metals using hand and power tools.
  • Read and interpret production orders and specifications or as instructed by the Supervisor and Production Manager.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials made of steel & other metals
  • Measure and mark materials as per specifications to avoid costly mistakes or omissions.
  • Check final product to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Load and unload construction materials transferring them to appropriate work stations.
  • Assist with maintenance of machinery, if necessary.
  • Assist with shipping & receiving of parts, when required.
  • Work in a safe, respectful and efficient manner following shop safety policies at all times.
  • Clean and stock shop area.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


  • Excellent decision-making skills and attention to detail.
  • Complete fast, repetitive actions, such as drilling, filing, grinding or cutting.
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude working with detailed production instructions.
  • Ideally you are adaptable to changing roles within the function.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, considered an asset.
  • Class 5 drivers license, considered an asset.
  • Ability to work on feet for up to 10 hours per day; with rotations and breaks.
  • A valid forklift operators certification considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs throughout the day.
  • Experience operating power tools, considered an asset.
  • C-Level welder, considered an asset.

Position Overview


As a Production Technician, you'll support various stages of cabinet manufacturing, finishing and shipping/receiving. Working closely with our production team, youll help ensure that each product meets our high-quality standards, from raw material to delivery.


What Youll Do

  • Sand or prepare surfaces using hand or power tools.
  • Operate finishing tools (sprayers, brushes) to apply conversion varnishes and other coatings.
  • Assist with CNC operations and quality inspection.
  • Assemble cabinet components including cabinet carcasses, drawer boxes, shelves, and doors.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and product specifications.
  • Handle raw materials and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Receive and sort incoming deliveries and organize storage areas.
  • Prepare completed product for delivery with precision and care.
  • Support basic maintenance and report defects or missing materials.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Who You Are

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Physically fit able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks (bending, standing, etc.).
  • Comfortable in varying temperatures (hot, humid, or cold).

Qualifications

  • Design and produce a wide variety of signs from inception to completion.
  • Full-time availability (40 hours/week)
  • Operate and maintain large format printers, cutters, and laminators.

  • Knowledge in color management.
  • Experience with pre-flighting and creating proofs from client artwork.
  • Knowledge of sign fabrication methods and materials.
  • Ability to create shop drawings and layouts for permits, fabrication, and installation.
  • Strong design creativity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional and polished demeanor with coworkers, customers and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow work orders accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose effective materials for sign projects.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Vehicle wrap installation experience
  • Certified installation professional (3M, Avery, etc.)
