FASTSIGNS Center sign production area is fully equipped with top-of-the-line sign-making equipment.

Job Description
At the production table, you will be responsible for all aspects of the physical construction and assembling of signs from computer cut vinyl and wide format full color printouts, which includes proofreading and conducting quality assurance to ensure the accuracy of signs. As an Installer, youll play an important role in getting the finished sign or graphic in place so everyone can see it - in the ground, on a wall, on a vehicle or hanging from a ceiling. Youll use a variety of tools to assemble, erect and hang items, both inside and out. Fear of heights is not in your vocabulary. There is a significant degree of customer interaction in this position. Professional demeanor is required, along with a customer service focus. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and who is determined to make every project his or her absolute best.
This is a Full time position 40 hrs per wekk

Production Specialist Responsibilities
Prepare materials for application by cutting to size.
Weeding and masking of vinyl
Apply graphics to various materials
Loads materials on printer and/or laminator, and print and laminate
Conduct quality check on all signs before sending it to completion/customer.
Package materials for shipping.
Works on different projects simultaneously
Keep the production area neat, clean and organized.
Arrange Shipping and Delivery with couriers and follow up.
Follow up on incoming orders and shipments.
Sign Installer Responsibilities (training provided to suitable candidates)
Work in the field performing installations to vehicles and building interiors and exteriors using a ladder or mechanical lift system.
Confirms the signage accurately conforms to the work order (i.e., spelling, materials, size, etc.)
Prepares worksite by removing unwanted signage, preparing mounting surfaces, and ensure installation area is clean and safe.
Follows all safety policies and procedures in the preparation and installation.
Use a variety of tools to assemble, erect and hang items, both inside and out.
Cleans installation site after completed installation.
Signs installed are corrected placed and properly aligned.
Performs a quality control review and take a picture of completed installation.
Consult with sales staff to provide accurate estimates of labor time and to set realistic deadlines.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in production. Experiece in sign production preferred.
Physically Fit, able to lift large sheets and lift 80 lbs
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions )
Able to use power tools
Punctual, reliable, and responsible

RESPONSIBILITIES    

  • Works with co-workers and customers with file transfers, FTP access, photo library options, online proofs, etc.
  • Inspects jobs for accuracy before sending them to the plotter, printer, router or laser
  • Operate and maintain printers, plotters, laminators and laser machines. 
  • Provide proofs as necessary
  • Maintains accurate electronic and paper record of File Storage and Disks
  • Follows a layout to place computer-generated vinyl or full-color graphic images on a per-determined substrate or medium
  • Prepares substrates for application
  • Performs finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting of printed pieces

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferred
  • Experience as a graphic designer, sign-related computer operator, or in desktop publishing required, including an advanced level of experience using Adobe applications, Lightburn Software
  • Strong PC and/or Mac skills and internet, publishing software, and sign production software skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa)
  • Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 or more pounds

The Imaging Specialist is a key member of our team, who is a self-starter and can work independently. Ensuring that the projects are completed following the specifications as set out in the work-order, you thrive on seeing print files come to life on cardstock, paper, foam boards and many other substrates. Under the supervision of the Planning Manager, the Production Planning Analyst is responsible for planning, analyzing and optimizing production processes to ensure availability of finished products based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and availability of electronic components. The incumbent works closely with planning, procurement, engineering, sales and production team members, in a complex and dynamic international environment.

Main accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term production plans, considering global supply lead times and demand variability.
  • Analyze production capacity and recommend adjustments to plans to avoid stock-outs or surpluses.
  • Monitor inventory levels of critical components, anticipate needs, and suggest adjustments to optimize flows.
  • Use data analysis tools (Excel, Power Query, etc.) to develop reports, dashboards, and forecasts.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of planning processes, identifying opportunities for automation and simplification.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure on-time delivery of electronic components.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a multilingual and multicultural context.
Qualifications

Abilities required

  • University degree in operations management, industrial engineering, logistics or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written, required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Hog Logistics, the incumbent has direct accountability for planning hog production cycles, livestock driver and transportation schedules while co-ordinating and communicating with the business to execute the planned movements.

A SNAPSHOT OF SOME OF THE EXCITING THINGS YOU WILL DO:
 

  • Cycle based production planning and inventory management for barns
  • Development of transport schedule, including drivers weekly schedule
  • Maintain planning databases and SAP logistical information
  • Create/manage cycles to facilitate process orders for hog production
  • Generate shipping documents and assess returning documentation
  • Proficiency in understanding and resolving scheduling issues
  • Maintain working relationships with 3rd party transport vendors, processing plant customers, as well as internal customer relationships with Hog Production, Finance, QA, Feed and Animal Health Team
  • Assist with period end processes as required
  • Provide administrative support and vacation coverage where required

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience in a formal planning role, preferably in an SAP environment. Strong understanding of work in process systems.
  • 2 – 3 years proven SAP experience
  • Experience with cycle-based production considered an asset
  • Must possess excellent skills in:
    • Interpersonal
    • Strong Analytics
    • Organizational
    • Problem Solving
    • Communication (effective written and oral communication skills to interact across all organizational levels)
    • Computer (MS Excel, Database Mgmt.)
