FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 17 Showrooms and 8 fabricating facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Production Workers in our Stone Division are responsible for a variety of tasks related to hard surface manufacturing, including grinding, polishing, laminating, sealing, inspecting products and other related tasks. The position requires the safe and efficient use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical lifters. Loading and unloading materials during production and cleaning up the floors and areas that surround your work area are also required.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 1-Year experience in a similar role with polishing on natural stone and engineered quartz an asset or experience auto detailing considered transferrable skills
- Experience using grinders and polishers an asset
- Must be hardworking, motivated, well organized and task oriented
- Basic computer skills, MS office
- Have the ability to read units of measurements
- Demonstrate knowledge of hand woodworking tools and operate power tools such as table saw, chop saw, grinders, polishers etc.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal)
- Possess a valid Driver’s License and clear criminal record check

- Maintains a safe work area, clean and clear of debris and clutter. Using water at all times to remove silica dust from the environment
- Sets up work area by loading stone tops onto carts, using safe lifting practices and mechanical lift support when required
- Reviews technical drawings of stone tops to understand edging requirements and dimensions
- Grinds, polishes, contours, measures and inspects stone tops to conform to template specifications
- Prepares and cuts edging pieces to size as per specifications. Laminates stacked or mitered edges using correct process and adhesives
- Polishes, fills and repairs areas to remove surface defects
- Utilizes computer systems to update order status, and mark progress
- Unloads parts from work areas onto storage/shipping frames as required
- Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety
- Must be able to follow safety rules and work safely around equipment, cranes and forklifts
- Supports loading and unloading of equipment with guidance for efficient operation
- Supports other work areas as required and assigned by Supervisor
- Attends and participates in team huddles and training activities

About the Job
General production workers at Canada Packer’s Lethbridge facility take on a variety of roles and responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout plant.
- Bagging and/or packaging of meat products.
- Operate processing machinery and equipment as needed.
- Inspect products to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following sanitation and food safety regulations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work efficiently to meet daily production quotas and deadlines.
- Assist with loading/unloading raw materials and finished products.
