POSITION SUMMARY
We are actively looking for two Digital and Social Media Instructors to join our Academic Department, one for weekends and one for evenings. The Digital and Social Media Instructor will work closely with the Academic team under the supervision of the Academic Manager and teach Digital and Social Media program courses.
The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for offering exceptional and interactive learning experiences to our students to ensure that they receive up-to-date knowledge and hands-on training in Digital and Social Media and its relevant technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach, train, and provide guidance and support for the students.
- Update course materials and, participate in curriculum review, provide improvements of the curriculum.
- Ensure assessment is done in a fair and accurate manner.
- Maintain grading and attendance reports and other course documentation.
- Provide feedback and support to students.
- Work with students that are having difficulties to improve their understanding of course material.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full-time experience or the equivalent of part-time experience in the digital and social media industry.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe and Canva is a must.
- Proficiency with Google Classroom is an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Demonstrated time-management skills.
- Experience teaching in an educational institution is an asset.
- Understanding of the digital and social media profession.

Qualifications:

- Eligible for membership with the Cardiology Technologist Association of British Columbia (CTABC).
Job Type: Fixed-term contract per cohort. The instructor will be required to teach this course for each cohort, making the assignment recurring as new cohorts reach this stage of the program. The course schedule may be adjusted based on the instructors availability.
Pay: 4,000 to 4,300 per course (includes 25 hours of lab instruction, 25 hours of theory instruction, as well as time for grading and class preparation). Payment will be issued in multiple installments based on the number of days and total weeks required to deliver the course, and following the instructors availability.

Our After-School Programs are scheduled after the school day ends for one-hour sessions in schools & in community centers.
This is a part-time job, but we prefer someone with a flexible schedule who can take on many opportunities when given plenty of notice.
Pay is based on per session, not per hour. For example: For a one-hour class you are expected to be onsite 15 min before the start of the program and 15 min after the program for clean-up. $43 is the rate for the entirety of the session. There is some compensation for travel in addition to your class rate.
