Role

Reporting to the Estimating Lead, the Project Estimator plays a key role in the preparation of complete EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) proposals for high-voltage electrical, renewables, and utility projects. This position is responsible for evaluating RFP packages to determine scope, constructability, and proposal requirements, ensuring a compliant and competitive submission. Working closely with preconstruction team members—including estimating, engineering, procurement, and project controls—the Project Estimator leads the development of detailed cost estimates and supporting documentation. The role is critical in identifying value engineering opportunities and supporting the transition from estimate to execution through structured hand-offs and project lifecycle collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate RFP packages to understand scope, schedule, deliverables, and commercial requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC projects, including but not limited to transmission, distribution, substation, generation, and industrial electrical work.
  • Lead the development of complete proposal submissions, ensuring full compliance with client requirements and internal standards.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Certification as a Journeyman Electrician or Power Systems Electrician is an asset.
  • Professional designations such as P.Eng., CET, or CEP are considered assets.Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably within the electric utility or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sectors.

  • Ensure that all subcontracts and third-party relationships are properly documented, managed and executed.

Position Overview:

Working an average of 50 hours per week, either remotely or from our headquarters in Sturgeon Falls, you will be reporting to the Project Manager.
