About GHGSat:
GHGSat offers greenhouse gas detection, measurement, and monitoring services to industrial and government customers around the world. We use our own satellites and aircraft sensors, combined with third-party data, to help industrial emitters better understand, control, and reduce their emissions.

GHGSat’s capability is unique: The company provides high-resolution, local measurements of atmospheric methane and carbon dioxide concentration from space. This further provides the company means to detect greenhouse gas emitters and to visualize and quantify their emissions.

Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Project Manager will have a direct impact on helping GHGSat to become the global reference for remote sensing of greenhouse gas (GHG), air quality gas, and other trace gas emissions from any source in the world.

Requirements

As Project Manager, you will be expected to execute the following functions:

  • Plan projects based on work breakdown structures, cost and schedule control, risk management, and the use of project management software tools.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate a cross-functional team of developers, engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment conducive to high productivity and innovation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding project progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities effectively to senior management.
  • Lead technical reviews (e.g. Kick-off Meeting, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Systems Requirements Review) and program evaluations.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, invoicing, and receipts.
  • Perform programmatic analysis and reporting internally and, on occasion, with customers.
  • Function effectively in an environment where tight deadlines and a high level of pressure are the norm.
  • Manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Support proposal activities that require software development work packages by helping in the definition and scoping of the required work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Administration, Computer Science, or similar
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in project management within a software development or IT environment
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from initiation to completion
  • Must be able to obtain Canadian government security clearances (Industrial Security Program and Canadian Controlled Goods Program)
  • Fluently bilingual (oral and written French and English)

Desirable :

  • Formal training in Project Management obtained at university, or any other applicable training in Project Management, or a recognized project management certification (PMP Certification)
  • Knowledge of systems engineering processes and their relation to project life cycle.

Overview Reporting to the Director of Technical Services and Innovation, the Project Manager is responsible for the professional management and successful completion of assigned capital expenditure projects for Centurion Property Associates in accordance with pre-established budgets and timelines in the Province of Quebec. The Project Manager is responsible for administering all related resources, contracts, tools, and supplies to ensure that Centurion Asset Management Inc. | Centurion Property Associates Inc.'s real estate assets are maintained effectively and efficiently according to established standards. Responsibilities Relationship Development Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Assist the Director of Technical Services & Innovation, and Property Managers with proactive timely resolution of contractor, vendor, and consultant performance issues related to routine maintenance and capital/construction projects. Preventative Maintenance Responsible to put in place all service contracts relating to building systems and/or are technical in nature. Assist Property Managers in defining and setting performance and quality targets for site maintenance. Ensure that the safety standards and policies established by Centurion are met at all times. Ongoing Operations Complete regular site inspections of properties including plant operations to identify trends and opportunities and report any concerns or deficiencies promptly to the Director of Technical Services & Innovation. Assist Property Managers with the preparation of operating budgets including the provision of preventative maintenance contract schedules. Administration and Reporting Assist with any Asset Management analysis and reporting as required. Ensure prompt investigation and follow up of all Contractor related issues. Provide regular feedback to all related Contractors and Vendors. Review and approve all related Contractor invoicing. Complete any other reporting consistent with requirements of the property management contract. Identify site intensification opportunities through cost-value analysis and zoning reviews. Complete other duties as assigned. Capital Project Management Assist the Director, Technical Services & Innovation with the preparation of capital budgets. Confirm that all work is completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and estimates. Ensure timely completion of capital/construction projects and ensure maintenance of accurate and current project files. Coordinate all project activities to ensure limited impact to the quiet enjoyment of Residents in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act. Organize, attend, and lead regularly scheduled trade meetings. Liaise with Consultants as required for major capital projects including development of project specifications, project management, quality control
