Since 2004, our experienced team of AACIs, CRAs, and Candidate Members has provided trusted valuation services to both public and private sector clients. Role Description We are currently seeking a Real Estate Appraiser to join our Toronto office. This role offers exposure to a broad range of commercial and industrial property types. The successful candidate will work closely with senior appraisers and partners, contributing to research, valuation and consulting assignments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or expand a career in the appraisal industry. A demonstrated interest and experience in real estate, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset are key attributes we are looking for. Responsibilities * Prepare appraisal reports relying on the latest market information obtained from various internal/external sources. * Ensure data collected as part of ongoing assignments is researched thoroughly. * Develop cash flow projections to be used in the appraisal process. * Conduct site inspections and document detailed property characteristics. * Review financial statements, leases, surveys, and other documents relevant to valuations. * Investigate land use regulations (zoning, OPs, conservation) and assess impact on value. * Collaborate with senior appraisers on valuation reports for ICI and development properties. * Maintain and update real estate market statistics and sales transactions. * Continuously upgrade the level of knowledge of market and industry trends. Qualifications * A university degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Economics, Urban Planning, Geography) is preferred but not required. * 2-3 years experience in the commercial appraisal industry. * Enrolled in or eligible for the AIC Candidate Member program; completion of BUSI 330 is a strong asset. * Maintain candidate status in good standing and meet the minimum annual educational requirements per the AIC. * Understanding of ICI property types and basic valuation concepts. * Strong research, writing, and critical thinking abilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate within a team * Willingness to travel locally with a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Our client is a boutique law firm based in Etobicoke and they are currently seeking a full-time Real Estate Law Clerk with a minimum 5 years relevant experience to join their busy practice.
Your new role
In this new role you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the law firm, including carrying out administrative services, providing support to the team. In this role you will be working alongside a tenured lawyer that runs a smooth practice. You will also be required to draft legal documents and correspondence, liaising with various clients as well as Scheduling of appointments and attending to the delivery and receipt of closing, documents, and proceeds. In your new role you will also be required to Prepare residential and commercial purchase, sale, and mortgage files. You will be tasked with opening, managing, and closing files.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 5 years of experience and be able to work independently on all aspects of basic residential real estate transactions as well as provide support to real estate lawyers on more complicated commercial real estate transactions. You should have a keen attention to detail and proofreading/grammar skills are essential for this role. The ability to both multi-task and take initiative are required in this new role. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PC Law, and the Unity/Conveyancer software. Teraview is a bonus. Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work both independently and in a team, environment is required. Proficiency in a second language is valued in the firm.

Our client is looking for an energetic, motivated and organized Paralegal to join their busy and fast-paced Corporate Real Estate Team.
Responsibilities:
- Commercial real estate acquisitions and sales, including preparation and management of closing agenda and closing documentation and preparation of closing document books
- Land assembly and subdivision work, including preparation of Section 219 covenants, easements, rights of way and undertaking letters and complex registrations at the Land Title Office
- Real estate financing work for both lender and borrower clients, including preparation of mortgages and related security documents
- Preparation of disclosure statements, amendments, information packages and bulk closing of development units
- Real estate related due diligence searches and reporting
Requirements
- Strong understanding of BC Land Title Office registration requirements and capability with e-filing
- Good working knowledge of real estate terminology, contracts and forms
- Good working skills with all applicable online data bases – BC Online, LTSA, municipal tax searches, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Supremely organized with a high attention to detail
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Good computer knowledge with common Real Estate related programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
