Position Summary

Engineering is at the center of this process, offering technical expertise to support our customers and the manufacturing floor. In consideration, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced designer to join our organization. As a Senior Tooling Designer - Prototypes, you will be pivotal in the designing and manufacturing of prototype tooling and parts. You will surface and design prototype tooling as well as perform engineering and feasibility analysis to ensure the manufacturability of customer parts and programs. You will be responsible for ensuring the precision, efficiency, and adherence of our tooling to SyBridge and customer design and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize
computer-aided design (CAD) software to surface and design automotive and industrial injection molds, considering factors such as customer part design, material selection, manufacturing processes, etc.
- Leverage experience in product development and design to determine design approach for prototyping programs (i.e., additive manufacturing, soft tooling, hard tooling).
- Apply finite element techniques to assess engineering and production feasibility analysis.
- Leverage design experience, cross-functional collaboration, and value engineering principles to optimize design costs and improve value delivered to our customers.
- Order parts and components related to a specific job using internal purchasing software and tools.
- Create comprehensive documentation and work instructions to enable customer and manufacturing review.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure the seamless integration of the design changes into the existing tools (e.g., save cut files for the floor to manufacture changes).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (i.e., project management, quality, etc.) to support continuous improvement efforts and ensure engineering changes are implemented correctly and to design intent.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement methodologies and engineering processes and proactively propose innovative solutions.
- Coach and mentor engineers and foster a culture of problem-solving and innovation.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of engineering design and mold making experience.
- College or University degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Hexagon VISI, for design.
- Experience with prototyping applications including 3D Printing (SLA, FDM, MJF), Cast Urethane Tooling, Ren Board Tooling, Aluminum Tooling, etc.
- Proficiency in business and analytical tools like Microsoft Office applications, D365, Teams, etc.
- Detail-oriented designer with an understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, this position is responsible for leadership of the Engineering and Estimating teams (7-10 direct reports) directly related to solution selling quote process. - Lead a team of Designers and Estimators who collaborate with sales and customers on product design and recommend design and value add optimizations to ensure maximum manufacturability while reducing timelines.

Requirements
Education/Experience

Responsabilités principales
- Rechercher, concevoir et développer de nouveaux forfaits touristiques, itinéraires et expériences adaptés aux marchés cibles.
- Négocier et entretenir des relations avec les fournisseurs (hôtels, agences réceptives, compagnies aériennes, attractions, guides locaux, etc.).
- Réaliser des analyses concurrentielles afin de garantir que les prix et le positionnement des produits restent attractifs.
- Collaborer avec les équipes marketing et commerciales afin de créer des descriptions de produits, des supports promotionnels et des campagnes convaincants.
- Surveiller les performances des produits existants, analyser les commentaires des clients, la rentabilité et les tendances des ventes afin d'apporter des améliorations basées sur les données.
- Se tenir au courant des tendances mondiales en matière de voyages, des développements des destinations et des innovations du secteur afin d'identifier les opportunités.
- S'assurer que tous les produits répondent aux normes de qualité de l'entreprise, aux objectifs de durabilité et aux attentes des clients.
- Gérer les contrats, les coûts et le contrôle des marges pour tous les produits.
