Key Responsibilities:

Key Qualification:

  • CGSB Level II Examiner (RT, MT, PT, UT) an asset.
  • Experience as a CWB Welding Supervisor an asset.
  • Experienced in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with quality management systems.
  • Able to work expected hours of: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 12:00pm Friday.
  • Flexibility to cover other shifts would be an asset

The Construction Quality Control Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction activities meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications by

implementing robust quality control, inspections and testing processes. The Construction Quality

Control Manager helps to minimize risks, enhance project outcomes, and deliver a high-quality

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and execute Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Experience:

  • A Canadian (or assessed as equivalent) B.Sc. degree or equivalent in an applicable discipline of science (chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering, medicine, horticulture, medical laboratory science or related).

To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.

As a member of the Quality Control team, you will be directly responsible for in-process quality control activities within multiple cleanrooms, supporting the development, manufacturing, and sales of Kardium products.

Please note, this opportunity is an on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of
You will engage in a diverse set of activities including some or all of the following:

  • Planning QC resources to meet catheter and introducer production schedules.
  • Monitoring QC in-process activities daily and implementing actions to improve the department's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Providing technical guidance to QC personnel on daily inspections inside certified cleanrooms.
  • Collaborating with the Quality, Engineering, and Risk teams to improve technical documentation, including SOPs and QC work instructions.
  • Supporting Quality Engineering and Mechanical Engineering teams with root cause investigations, as needed.
  • Hiring and developing QC supervisors and technicians.
  • Enhancing training methods and ensuring QC personnel training records are maintained and up to date

What You Bring To The Team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in a technical field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant quality control experience, preferably in the medical devices industry.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Exposure/experience with mechanical engineering/manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and US FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) requirements is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.

  • $92,000 – 115,000 (CAD Annually)

About the Role

We're seeking a Quality Control Technician who's passionate about precision, safety, and continuous improvement. In this vital role, you'll ensure the integrity and excellence of ADM's food and feed products at our state-of-the-art vegetable oil processing facility in Windsor, Ontario. You'll be the heartbeat of our laboratory—conducting analytical tests, maintaining equipment accuracy, and ensuring every product meets ADM's world-class standards.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct wet chemistry tests and safely handle chemicals
  • Prepare and analyze samples of raw materials, finished feed products (soybean meal, canola meal, hulls), and finished food products (edible oils)
  • Use modern laboratory instrumentation and computerized data systems to record and track analytical results
  • Calibrate and perform minor repairs on lab equipment to maintain reliability and compliance
  • Perform daily quality and monitoring checks throughout the facility
  • Retrieve and manage samples directly from production areas
  • Ensure all testing follows GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols

What You Bring
