Reporting to the Quality Assurance Associate Team Lead, you will actively participate in validating the proper functioning of the gameplay features of our current productions.
Responsibilities- Provide testing support to the development team when completing work on a gameplay feature and at all stages of development on different platforms.
- Analyze and communicate accurate and complete information to development teams in support of debugging and correcting detected issues.
- Provide constructive feedback to game developers to improve game quality and user experience.
- More than 3 years of experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of bug reporting tools (DevTrack, Mantis, Jira, Test Track Pro);
- Good communicator with interpersonal skills and team spirit;
- Excellent computer knowledge (both hardware and software);
- Experience with multiplayer and narrative games, an asset;
- You are rigorous, organized, motivated, invested and autonomous;
- You develop a real interest in cinema and video games.

We are looking to add an experienced functional QA tester to a team of dedicated and professional people. BlackBox QA focuses primarily in the testing of video streaming apps and websites for some of the biggest industry names in North America.
Some experience is preferred as we have a project starting soon and need someone that already understands the process as ramp up time will be more limited than usual. Knowledge on Samsung Tizen, LG Web OS, Xbox, PlayStation, and / or Hisense would be greatly beneficial. We also work on iOS, Android, tvOS, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Vizio, and Comcast - knowledge of those could be useful as well.
Familiarity with any of the following tools is important:
- Charles Proxy
- JIRA
Position is full time (40 hrs / week) and it's an hourly wage somewhere between $18-$2/hr depending on experience. There are many other benefits such as RRSP matching, HSA (health spending account), sick days, etc.
Please note this position is listed as HYBRID. We would like to do some in person training at our office in Verdun, and gradually the position would be more work from home.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing of software applications to ensure functionality, performance, and usability meet the required standards.
- Create, execute, and document test cases and test plans based on project specifications and requirements.
