When you join our team as a **Quality Control Supervisor in Training** , you will plan, coordinate, and direct quality control and process
improvement programs designed to ensure that quality of product and continuous
production are consistent with established standards.
**What You'll Do**
+ Oversee QC process for the entire mill and act a resource person within the plant in relation to wood quality.
+ Maintain a permanent quality assurance file for each product produced
+ Receive all quality complaints and determine appropriate actions
+ Inspect as required incoming materials for compliance with the quality assurance specifications and determine corrections required
+ Routinely inspect each manufacturing process operation and note any and all discrepancies from specifications, procedures and corrections required.
+ Perform internal and external audits to ensure quality control requirements are implemented and maintained.
+ Maintain calibrations of process equipment.
+ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on key performance metrics.
**What You Offer**
+ College diploma or bachelor's degree in forest products processing or forest engineering, or other relevant discipline.
+ Experience in managing quality aspects related to wood processing. Experience in the sawmill industry would be an asset.
+ A working knowledge of quality control program requirements and techniques.
+ Knowledge of computers systems.
+ Knowledge of the NLGA classification standards considered an asset.
+ Valid driving license.
+ Good organizational skills and results oriented.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Ensure Quality Control requirements applicable to the Nuclear Island segment are effectively controlled and executed.
+ Assist in the development and implementation of project specific quality control procedures and work instructions to support construction activities.

+ Interface with the engineering, procurement, and construction groups on matters related to the planning of QC activities required by the design and applicable codes and standards including preparation of

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance project quality-related documentation, including inspection checklists, test protocols, work instructions, and project-specific procedures.

+ Timely inspections are being performed based on construction schedule.
+ Maintain liaison with Alliance Partners on matters related to the quality control requirements of the Nuclear Island segment.

**Qualifications**

What You’ll Do
- Develop New Training & Training Systems: Create the vision and strategy to lead the implementation of content and reporting for enterprise training and coaching initiatives focused on process improvement, change management and lean six sigma methodologies.
- Train and Develop: Coaching and mentoring of business leaders, employees and Process Improvement Leaders on process improvement methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate Broadly to lead Organizational Transformation: Develop strong cross-departmental relationships, leveraging interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and achieve goals.
- Lead Process Improvement Projects: Spearhead initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in key business metrics, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience: A mix of experience in areas such as:
- Enterprise Training
- Training Development
- Lean Six Sigma Methodologies
- Process Design & Systems Thinking
- Digital Development Programming
- Project Management

- Or other relevant fields
Key Qualities:
- Strong leadership abilities
- Fast learner with excellent critical thinking and listening skills
- Clear, concise communicator
- High self-initiative and ownership of projects
- Technical proficiency relevant to the role (or a strong ability to quickly adapt and learn)
Additional Information
- Location: Our main offices are in Ontario, however, this role is remote/hybrid based on your location and proximity to an office.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, particularly for communication with stakeholders across Canada. If you are applying for a position which is open to applicants across Canada, unless otherwise indicated in the position, language proficiency in English is required for communicating with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada.
