We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Technician to join our cartridge manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity and performance of our pharmaceutical and biotechnical products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in product testing, visual inspection, and documentation within a cleanroom environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections of manufactured cartridges using microscopes and other tools.
- Conduct computer-based analysis and maintain accurate documentation using Excel and other digital platforms.
- Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a cleanroom setting.
- Rotate between different testing stations to evaluate various cartridge models (5-6 types).
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed records of test results and report any deviations or anomalies.
- Support afternoon shift operations, which are currently prioritized for staffing.

This role is crucial for ensuring all aggregate products comply with relevant codes, standards, and specifications through the implementation of quality programs, including sampling, testing, reporting, and follow-up. 2.Review and lock the electronic study setting in accordance with protocols.

3.Review study tube arrangement for complicated study procedures based on risk assessment.

4.Review study files upon data entry at the screening, check-in, on-study and post-study procedures.

5.Observe, on a random basis, the clinical procedures during the conduct of studies (i.e. screening procedures, subject entrance, meals, sample bundling, etc.), and make sure that they are performed in accordance with protocols, PMRI SOPs, GCP requirements and regulations.

6.Ensure that study files after study completion are accurate and legible according to protocols, PMRI SOPs, GCP requirements and regulations.

7.Review other study or non-study related documents (e.g. pharmacy and equipment calibration records etc.).

8.Provide reports on the observations/reviewed data to the relevant supervisors/managers and follow up upon resolution.

9.Liaise with other departments to improve the accuracy and quality of data.

10.Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

  • College degree or B.SC. in clinical research, health, or science-related field or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of CRO experience or equivalent is an asset

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out thorough quality checks to ensure products meet company standards

  • Perform inventory control activities such as cycle counts, labelling, and reporting discrepancies

  • Lift, sort, and repackage products (up to 30 lbs) for shipping or storage

  • Pick and pack orders accurately using order sheets or handheld scanners

  • Move items with a picking cart and place them into designated bins or staging areas

  • Scan, label, and package items in line with shipping requirements and client instructions

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including end-of-shift clean-up duties

  • Assist with additional warehouse tasks as assigned by supervisors or leads

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience (packing, quality checks, or inventory control)

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs consistently throughout the shift

  • Previous quality inspection or control experience is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume setting

  • Good organizational skills and clear communication abilities

  • Comfortable following instructions and working as part of a team

Additional Information

  • Location: Mississauga, ON

  • Shifts: Day and Afternoon available

  • Pay: $17.50 – $19.00 per hour (based on experience and facility)

  • Status: Full-time only (no part-time options)

The Raw Materials Sampling Coordinator, IQC is a senior role within the Incoming Inspection function, responsible for coordinating sampling activities to ensure timely and compliance execution such as scheduling daily sampling tasks, aligning resources, and coordinating delivery of the samples to QC laboratory to meet operational demands, and maintaining adherence to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform thorough inspections and systematic sampling of all incoming raw materials as per approved sampling plans to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
Inspect incoming raw material containers for physical damage, contamination, correct labeling, etc. and adherence to established SOPs.
Ensure all loose packaging materials are removed from containers and disposed of appropriately and the tops of the containers are cleaned
Clean and maintain sampling utensils and sampling area.
Ensure standards & supplies are maintained
Coordinate staging of materials for sampling with warehouse staff.
Ensure prioritization of sampling to meet production demands.
Review and verify all applicable documentation received from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Complete and archive documents in accordance with company policy and standards.
Verify information against raw materials COA and ensure that the correct WHIMS information is available prior to performing sampling activities.
Submit collected samples to Quality Control laboratory in a timely and efficient manner and ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation.
Complete labeling process by affixing QA printed release labels.
Initiate non-conformance reports for any discrepancies or quality issues found during inspection and diligently follow up on corrective actions until resolution.
Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on sampling activities, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions for audit and review purposes.
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures for GMP, GDP and Health and Safety, as outlined in the Health and Safety manual.
Identify and report any hazard(s), accidents, and injuries requiring first aid, health care, lost-time injuries, occupational diseases or incidents in the workplace.
Provides guidance/training to new employees, as required.
Other duties, as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Post-secondary education preferred (college diploma or university degree)
  • Experience working with computerized systems or experience with ERP or WMS software (e.g., Syspro, SAP) is an asset
  • RF scanner experience is required
  • Valid counterbalance forklift certification required
  • Pallet truck certification required
