**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Amrize, Canada's leading supplier of construction materials, has an opportunity for a Quality Control Technician for our Caledon Pit. This role is crucial for ensuring all aggregate products comply with relevant codes, standards, and specifications through the implementation of quality programs, including sampling, testing, reporting, and follow-up. The Quality Control Technician will also contribute to safety initiatives and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to meet customer expectations.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Implement Amrize Safety Policies and comply with Government Legislation.
+ Conduct Safety Inductions for visitors to the Quality Lab or site as required.
+ Execute Job Hazard Analyses for QC Tasks and implement Action Items.
+ Implement programs and processes to ensure compliance of all products with relevant Codes, Standards, and Specifications.
+ Implement Amrize Quality Program, including sampling, testing, reporting, and follow-up for all products.
+ Record, monitor, and communicate Aggregate KPI performance, investigating variances and establishing corrective actions.
+ Participate in or lead the development and implementation of site-specific actions to reduce and/or utilize long products.
+ Provide input to ensure alignment between Sales and Operational staff to ensure product performance meets customer expectations.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
+ **Education** : Minimum 2-year College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Environmental Technology, or University Degree in Engineering.
+ **Required Work Experience** : Experience in the construction materials (aggregates, asphalt, and concrete) industry is ideal.
+ **Required Training/Certifications** : Full G-class Drivers License.
+ **Required Technical Skills:** Excellent computer skills.
+ **Travel Requirements:** Zero percent travel.
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

+ Availability for rotating shift work (shifts can extend to 12 hours).

- Own the QMS: Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management Plan aligned to ISO 9001 and PDB/DMCA obligations; cascade processes to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Inspection & test planning: Lead creation and approval of ITPs, hold/witness points, method statements, and checklists for civil/structural, stations, systems interfaces, and finishes (e.g., concrete, reinforcing, structural steel, welding, waterproofing, track support, architectural).
- Design quality: Oversee design verification/validation processes, design reviews, constructability and maintainability checks, and configuration control with the design lead (WSP) and construction JVs.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, theField Quality Coordinatorwill oversee quality assurance and control over our construction sites. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with the Project Quality Control Plan, project requirements, codes, and regulations.
- Review quality checklists, reports, and site photos to ensure project-specific requirements are being met.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain quality records, prepare inspection reports, and document non-conformances and corrective actions.
Site Inspections & Audits:
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure all work meets company quality policies, environmental and occupational health & safety policies and regulations, and industry standards such as ISO 9001, OHSA, contract specifications etc.
Issue Resolution:
- Identify quality issues, coordinate with site teams to implement corrective measures, and follow up on their effectiveness.
Testing & Materials Verification:
- Review and verify materials, construction techniques, and testing results to ensure they meet specified quality requirements, whether personally or through specialized third parties.
Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager, project managers, superintendents, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve quality-related concerns.
Training & Support:
- Assist in training site personnel on quality procedures and best practices to enhance quality awareness.
Continuous Improvement:
- Assist the Quality Manager in monitoring and analyzing quality performance metrics and reporting findings to the Director and/or Senior Management as required.

Strong attention to detail and good organizational habits
Clear communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for performing daily product inspection for converting finished products. Take a lead role in working with management to ensure compliance and regulations are being followed, including AIB and SQF-2.
The position requires Shift Flexibility. This is a Work From Office Position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect raw material, work in progress and finished goods.
- Prepare and maintain accurate audit working papers and files to support audit findings
- Coordinate findings of reviews and audits with the training coordinator and/or Quality Manager.
- Review internal control procedures and existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, evaluate effectiveness.and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage projects, including departmental and division initiatives.
- Assist QA Manager and Reporting Supervisor to investigate & resolve customer complaints.
- Notify any problem or alert regarding converting process to the supervisor or QA manager.
- Quarantine nonconforming products and advise supervisor or QA manager for disposition.
- Document and control, the quality findings and data, in electronic records.
- Remain current on technological and business process trends in the industry.
- Support other parts of the operations including pouch assistant, slitting, and lamination, as & when required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree preferred, plus two years of related experience in Quality Assurance or Document Control.
- Technical Capacity & Experience in identifying existing process improvement.
- Ethical Conduct; Initiative; Decision Making & Organizational Skills; Communication Proficiency;

We are looking for a detail-driven Quality Control (QC) Tester to help ensure the reliability, usability, and overall experience of a custom-built web platform. This role is key to delivering a high-quality product by thoroughly testing both technical functionality and user experience across a wide range of platform features.
The ideal candidate has previous experience as a QC tester, strong observational skills, and the ability to clearly articulate issues through detailed reporting.
Responsibilities:
· Perform end-to-end testing of new features and updates across desktop and mobile platforms
· Verify the technical accuracy and UI/UX behavior of the web platform
· Identify, document, and track bugs, usability issues, and performance problems
· Write clear and actionable test reports , including:
o What the issue is
o Steps to reproduce
o Expected vs actual behavior
o Screenshots or recordings when necessary
· Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to validate fixes and ensure quality
· Participate in sprint reviews, feature handoffs, and release sign-offs
· Help develop and maintain test cases and user scenarios
· Provide feedback on usability and accessibility from a user-first perspective
Requirements
· Proven experience working as a Quality Control Tester or in a similar QA role
· Strong familiarity with web platform testing and browser-based applications
· Excellent written communication skills with the ability to describe complex issues simply and precisely
· Strong attention to detail, consistency, and thoroughness in testing
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment
· Based in or able to work on-site in Toronto, Ontario for 2–3 days per week
Nice to Have:
· Experience using testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, or BugHerd
· Understanding of accessibility testing or WCAG standards
· Familiarity with agile/scrum environments or version-controlled codebases (e.g., GitHub)
· Experience testing responsive design across devices and browsers
