As a
**Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager** , reporting to the Account Director, you will ensure the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Program is maintained and followed throughout operations. This position may require travel up to 50% of the time to various buildings throughout Canadian Forces Base Borden.
**Your work will include:**
Support the site team to plan, control and supervise maintenance work and operation of Dexterra activities at CFB Borden.
To lead process improvement projects, such as CMMS utilization and database management.
Ensure that contractually agreed quality, audit, and compliance obligations meet SLA''s and are delivered to the clientu2019s satisfaction.
Ensure work is being performed safely by staff and subcontractors.
Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, supplies, utilities, and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
Coordinate external contractors work for a variety of repairs and maintenance projects.
Assist in organizing and maintaining technical information, regulatory compliance records, licensing and certifications to meet all federal and provincial legislation, code and standards.
Assists managing the maintenance management software (CMMS).
Ensures that proper level of spare parts is available to minimize the down time or unavailability of space and/or equipment. Procuring parts/equipment as necessary.
Provides procedural directions and problem-solving guidance to staff.
Provides verbal and written reports as requested.
Regularly monitor, report and communicate project progress.
Review quality/safety procedures to ensure that there is adequate control of the quality/safety elements and facilitate as necessary to progress and close out any issues.
Give timely and accurate information about relevant quality/safety, audit, and compliance related risks and issues and escalate when appropriate.
Provide training and/or perform other duties as assigned by the Account Director/Site Supervisor

We need an individual who is detailed-oriented, can adapt quicky in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, and someone who is willing to jump in where needed.
Strong administrative skills is a necessity.
Experience in at least one area (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial) and knowledge of the others is an asset.
Successful completion of a diploma/degree/certificate; an Engineering field is preferred, or in Trades and Technology.
At least 2 years of experience in construction in either the residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, factory building, or modular manufacturing sectors is preferred.
Previous experience in a QA/QC role is preferred.
Familiar with the use and interpretation of Canadian Code Books and Industry Standards (TSSA, CAN ULC, ESA , ASTM, ASHRAE , NFPA etc.)
Possess and maintain a safe driving record.
Comprehensive experience reading specifications, drawings, and other associated project documentation.
Able to assist in the coordination and maintenance of an applied program for Quality Control.
Public Works and Government Services Canada, Level 2 Secret clearance will be required which includes 10 years Canadian Citizenship and clean criminal record.

Essential Functions:
Quality Program Leadership

Operating HPLC/UPLC instruments.
Preparing various reagents (buffer solutions, standard, mobile phase)
Recognizing out-of-specification or out-of-trend results and assisting in the completion of lab investigation.
Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements in manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
Participate in the area of occupational health, safety, and wellness.
**Education and Experience:**
Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Chemistry or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Strong knowledge of HPLC techniques (min 5 years of experience)

Quality Assurance Technician will verify that production activities and staff comply with Food Safety and Quality programs through on site observation, inspections and auditing. Ensuring that any deviations are documented, managed and controlled. The Quality Assurance Technician will complete preoperational inspections of facilities and equipment prior to production start-up. Technicians are key frontline ambassadors for the Quality and Food Safety programs and play a vital role in ensuring quality and food safety requirements meet or exceed the expectations of customers, regulators and internal stakeholders.
**Main accountabilities include:**
* Complete preoperational inspections of facilities and equipment prior to production start, to ensure production is only started once requirements are met.
* Complete prescribed start-up checks to ensure lines and equipment are ready for production activities.
* Verify line food safety and quality parameters and ensure the products meets applicable
* requirements.
* Perform CQP and CCP Verifications daily.
* Input results of on floor checks and verification activities into Redzone Software, perform verifications of production data input into Redzone and perform partial shift signoffs daily of production data.
* Learn and understand HACCP plans and prerequisite programs, and help to enforce compliance.
* Perform microbiological sampling when necessary using aseptic sample collection techniques.
* Perform audits of products including batch controls, component weights, finished weights, organoleptic evaluations along with various other checks, and collect samples of raw materials, in process products and finished products as required.
* Create quality and food safety deviations when programs are not followed and participate in root
* cause analysis activities to eliminate and prevent reoccurrence, and follow-up to ensure they are closed out.
* Initiate product holds and supplier corrective action reports when necessary to ensure customer, internal quality and food safety requirements are met. Ensure documentation is completed and products are adequately labelled and dispositioned.
* Assist in maintenance of prerequisite and CCP monitoring documentation as required.
* Verify production and quality department documentation is complete and accurate.
* Perform various HACCP and SQF related verification activities.
* Participate in external audits (Regulatory, 3rd Party & Customer).
* Lead Internal Audits on Quality and Food Safety Programs as per internal audit plan.
* Follow up on any necessary corrective action items associated with these audits.
* Assist with Employee Food Safety and Quality Training
* Assist in investigation of consumer and customer complaints.
* Ensure Calibrations of key tools and equipment is maintained and current.
* Participate in mock recall exercises.
* Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings.
* Must be able to move from Day Shift to Afternoon Shift with adequate notice, as required by schedule.

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, assemblies, and the corresponding documentation for evidencing conformance to company, customer, and government requirements**.**
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
* Perform and document inspections and testing for piping/pipelines fabrication/construction to assure compliance with contract documents, codes, standards, regulations, clients’ specifications, and applicable Mastec Canada Quality Manuals.
* Create or revise the ‘Inspection & Test Plan(s)’ for the project and obtain client approval as applicable.
* Ensure compliance with the approved ITPs through:
o Qualification of welders
o Materials verification
o Materials mapping and traceability
o Weld mapping
o NDE logging (confirm clearance before pressure testing)
o Verifying compliance with welding parameters
o Preparation and witnessing of test packages (hydrotesting/pneumatic testing)
