Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Quality Control Personnel who are local to the Edmonton, AB area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement the Quality Management System on site and in the field.
- Provide complete and continuous quality direction to personnel and sub-contractors while striving for zero nonconformities.
- Assist Superintendents with addressing nonconformities by developing correction and/or corrective action plans and conducting root cause analyses as required.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and the applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor and report on Quality key performance indicators to the Director of Quality monthly.
- Interface with Construction and Fabrication Project Management on QA/QC matters relating to project procurement, receiving inspection, planning, and scheduling.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to API 650/653 and ASME B31.3 piping systems.
- Maintain welder qualifications per ASME Section IX.
- Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
- Coordinate third-party inspection activities.
- Review and sign off NDE Reports.
- Responsible for verification of mechanical completion and preparation of turnover packages.
- General site support
Key Qualification:
- Class 5 driver's license
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in heavy industrial QA/QC.
- Minimum CWB Level 2 Inspector
- CGSB Level II Examiner (RT, MT, PT, UT) an asset.
- Experience as a CWB Welding Supervisor an asset.
- Experienced in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel.
- Comply with all safety requirements
- Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications
- Must successfully complete a welders qualification test (ASME IX)
- Bring a positive, can-do, safety first attitude every day
- Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment.

**The Opportunity -**
Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, this position will be responsible to perform site reviews of single family and/or multi-family projects enrolled for home warranty while they are being constructed. You will evaluate the quality of construction and will ensure that practices follow relevant provincial building codes and minimum construction quality standards.
You will provide construction reviews, assessments, and inspections on potential new projects to assist with assessing risk and to provide technical construction expertise during the claims process. This position does require travel within the regional area and would be considered a "remote worker" role, with visits to the branch location when required. Additionally, this position would be provided with a **company vehicle** due to the required regional travel.
**A day in the life -**
+ Responsible for site reviews of new homes and buildings during construction to ensure compliance with quality construction standards and building codes.
+ Escalation of high-risk reports to Senior Manager, Technical Services.
+ Assist in identifying solutions to bring a project onside with acceptable standards.
+ Advise builder of deficiencies in building code, methods, materials, and workmanship.
+ Perform technical construction reviews for the claims department in respect of home warranty.
+ Provide guidance and advice on technical construction matters to the underwriting and claims departments.
+ Maintain strong working relationships with builders, their trades, project consultants and other industry stakeholders.
+ Daily travel to construction sites in your company supplied vehicle, with occasional travel out of the geographical region.
**What you will bring to the team -**
+ 5 years' experience in residential construction industry.
+ 1-3 years of home warranty related experience would be an asset, but is not required.
+ Canadian Home Inspector certificate from an accredited institution would be an asset, but is not required.
+ Strong knowledge of residential construction procedures, methods, techniques and building codes.
+ Tech savvy - ability to learn inspection related software, use of a company phone and the use of Microsoft office products.
+ A strong knowledge of provincial work safe requirements.
+ The ability to drive and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing is mandatory.
+ Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Construction Science would be an asset, but is not required.
+ Red Seal Carpenter certificate or a Journeyperson trade would be an asset, but is not required.
**Salary Expectations -**
The expected salary range for this position is $57,000.00 to $62,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope, and level. **ABOUT THE ROLE**
Effective management of Product Quality Control and Quality Processes to ensure product performance, product cost management, effective reserve utilization, and customer satisfaction
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Conduct QC tests to ensure that produced and shipped aggregates are in agreement with QC specs.
+ Implement Amrize Quality Program, including sampling, testing, reporting, and follow up for all products as determined for each site of responsibility.
+ Implement programs and processes to ensure compliance of all products with relevant Codes, Standards, and Specifications.
+ Record, Monitor, and communicate Aggregate KPI performance with key stakeholders as required.
+ Investigate variances from Plan and establish corrective actions as required.
+ Participate in or lead the development and implementation of site specific actions to reduce and/or utilize long products, including innovating new combination materials.

**Position Overview:**
As our Quality Control Technician, you will ensure compliance with BWXT's quality program requirements on Field Services projects by performing independent verification of quality-related inspections. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this role works closely with Site Managers, Field Engineers, and Authorized Inspectors to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
**Location:**
On-site, Kitchener, ON
**Your Day to Day as Quality Control Technician:**
+ Undertake moderately complex technical assignments in support of activities that are part of an ongoing quality program
Perform quality control duties on projects/sites including:
+ Perform monitoring of processes via MITPs.
+ Ensure procedures are adhered to during project execution.
+ Verify and maintain training records electronically in GTS or on paper records.
+ Perform NDE related responsibilities on projects, where union jurisdictions allow.
+ This may be in a radiological environment.
+ Perform material receipt and in-process inspections to ensure compliance to BWXT standards, technical specifications and the ASME code.
+ Assist with the review and completion of Work Packages/History Dockets.
+ Assist with procedure and MITP reviews.
+ Perform vendor source inspection as required.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Post-secondary diploma in NDE or Quality Technology, or related education.
+ 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
+ CGSB Level 2 Liquid Penetrant certification required; additional Level 2 certifications in other NDE methods are an asset.
+ CWB Level 1 or 2 certification considered an asset.
+ Strong NDE background with solid knowledge of inspection processes; familiarity with ASME Code preferred.
+ Comfortable working in confined spaces and radiation environments.
+ Willing to travel extensively (up to 70%) and work nights, weekends, and statutory holidays, with potential for extended hours (70+ per week).
+ Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
**Security Clearance:**
This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.
