Description
Information Technology - Client Solutions requires contractor for the Quality Assurance Analyst - Intermediate 1 resource with experience working on a suite of applications. You will need to have proven experience to develop and execute exploratory tests as well as automated tests to ensure product quality.
- Hybrid work schedule is required: 2 days in office and 3 days working remotely.
Responsibilities will include estimation planning and coordination of testing activities review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback create detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases design develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools identify record document thoroughly and track bugs perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified documented tracked and resolved in our defect tracking system.
This contract role requires individuals with great communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a diversified team. Successful candidates must possess strong technical and professional knowledge and skills stress tolerance and the ability to think innovatively. You must also be team-oriented with the ability to build strategic working relationships and demonstrate innovation/initiative with a focus on providing inputs and recommendations for developing business and system requirements and effort estimates.
Successful candidates will:
- Coordinate with team members the team head/Supervisor and other departments to organize resolution of application incidents.
- Undertake requirement analysis with good understanding of acceptance criteria.
- Develop and document test plans strategy and test scripts.
- Work closely with the Development team to execute tests on multiple environments including QA UAT and Production environments.
- Conduct automation and API testing using available tools and execute manual test cases with ability to analyze the test results.
- Troubleshoot issues ensure detailed and clear logging of defects documentation of test cases and test findings.
- Document and analyze test results test strategy and test planning.
- Work closely with Product and Development teams to review solutions recommended by Developers or others for complex application change requests ensuring they meet security standards and approved requirements.
- Balance scheduled and unscheduled requests based on priority impact and value to the business.
- We expect that the Contractor would have commensurate experiences with:
o Test management tools like JIRA Postman Azure DevOps
o Test automation using Selenium with any open-source build tool and Java.
o API automation testing experience using postman and JMeter SQL server.
o Mobile and web testing to ensure optimal functionality of applications.
Must have Skills
1. Three (3) years' experience acting in the role of a Quality Assurance Analyst with good understanding of software testing methodologies.
2. Three (3) years of experience with capturing requirements, test cases, manual and automated tests as appropriate, and defect management.
3. Three (3) years' experience performing application load testing, integration testing, system testing and vulnerability testing.
4. Three (3) years' experience in automation tools such as HP Unified Functional Testing (both GUI and API mode) and using tools like Selenium and scripting.
5. Three (3) years experience in developing test strategies, test plans for development and integration projects ensuring an effective and risk-based testing approach to validating the integrity of systems.
6. Three (3) years experience working on defect management, test case management and test reporting tools like JIRA and Zephyr
7. Thee (3) years' experience working on REST API testing and performance tools like SoapUI, JMeter and Postman.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate both internally and externally with personnel at all levels.
2. Sound knowledge of data security, data privacy and penetration testing using tools like Burp suites etc.
3. Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and to disseminate information to various audiences, technical or non-technical.
4. Strong documentation skills
5. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
7. Sound knowledge of on premise and cloud-based services such as Azure and comfortable working with containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)

**Key Responsibilities:**
This role is to plan, execute and report the results of control testing covering Markets Trading and Sales businesses.

+ Supervising and coaching junior team members in execution of control testing
