Position Summary:
The Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead is responsible for leading the strategy, development, planning and execution of enterprise-wide disaster recovery programs. This role ensures Sobeys technology infrastructure and critical systems can be restored effectively in the event of an outage or disaster. The DR Lead partners closely with IT, cybersecurity, business units, and risk functions to align recovery capabilities with business needs, compliance requirements, and evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:
Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of Sobeys disaster recovery (DR) strategy, policies, and plans.
Oversee the development of system-specific recovery procedures and run-books across applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
Lead regular disaster recovery testing, including full failover, tabletop exercises, and scenario-based simulations.
Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure replication, backup, and failover solutions meet defined RTOs/RPOs.
Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments to inform recovery priorities and DR scope.
Track remediation plans and ensure recovery gaps identified during testing or audits are closed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure an integrated resilience strategy.
Maintain DR documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, SOC 2).
Lead DR response efforts during major incidents or outages, coordinating technical recovery and stakeholder communication.
Manage third-party vendors, contracts, and tools supporting DR operations.

What you have to offer:
Experience:
7+ years of experience in disaster recovery, IT continuity, or infrastructure operations.
2+ years in a leadership, management, or program ownership role.
Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience with DR design, implementation, and testing in complex enterprise environments.
Demonstrated background in disaster recovery planning and execution specific to the retail industry
Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Zerto, Commvault, Azure Site Recovery).
Familiarity with virtual infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, and storage systems.
Knowledge of risk, compliance, and governance standards (ISO 22301, NIST, COBIT, ITIL).
Experience with SAP and other enterprise applications
Certifications (Preferred):
ITIL Foundation or Practitioner
Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) certification
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
CISSP or equivalent for cybersecurity-aligned DR

Reporting to the Medical Manager, the Paramedic is responsible for providing high-quality medical care to individuals undergoing addiction treatment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Paramedic will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of our clients by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing compassionate support.

Role-specific Accountabilities

  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration.
  • Administer detox/withdrawal medications as required to residents and in alignment with order sets or resident specific orders created by LRC medical provider.
  • Monitor clients' vital signs and report any significant changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse or Medical Manager.
  • Administer assessments including but not limited to CIWA/COWS/PAWS and suicidal ideation and develop any care plans or revisions and safety plans. Will communicate all pertinent medical findings to the Medical Manager.
  • Participate in medically supported detox/withdrawal specific to resident needs and site policy.
  • Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide ongoing support and education to clients regarding their treatment plans, medications, and recovery goals.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients throughout their recovery journey, fostering a sense of hope and empowerment.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients by enforcing facility policies and procedures and responding to emergencies promptly.
  • Approach detox/withdrawal in collaboration with the teams across site including clinical, kitchen, support staff and leadership.

Qualifications
  • Alberta College of Paramedics registration as PCP or ACP (EMR considered with strong related experience); graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
  • 3+ year recent paramedic experience (community/industrial/clinic/EMS). Addiction, withdrawal management, mental health, or residential care are assets.
  • Previous experience working in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required.
  • Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance abuse disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality.
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Must have the availability to work nightshift on a rotating basis.

Job Summary:

The Program Manager will be working at the Hillside & Brookside Buildings and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and management of the housing project site in accordance with the BC Housing Guidelines, Fraser Health Authority, PHSA and the policies of Coast Mental

The Program Manager leads a team of unionized staff in working within the designated group, and supports program volunteers and contractors. Your goal will be to provide a strength-based framework and trauma-informed care to inform all aspects of service delivery for clients – with the desired outcome of a graduated and structured transition to living in the community. You will support staff in employing the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation, harm reduction, motivational enhancement and other evidence-based best practices to improve clients’ ability to function in all aspects of life. You will spearhead the development of effective programming to assist clients to achieve graduated success in interpersonal relationships, mental health and/or addiction issues, housing and support services, activities of daily living, life skills programming and community preparedness activities as well as other areas as identified by the clients themselves.

You will establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment for this team, and manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Program leadership includes risk management for the program, financial management of program budgets, ensuring the property is appropriately maintained in partnership with Coast’s Properties, and developing program plans in alignment with funder’s service agreement and overall Coast strategies and operational plans

You will operate in a collaborative manner, not only with other program staff but in partnership with the friends and family members of clients, program funders, community agencies, and any agency or person who is committed to positive outcomes for clients. As part of the Coast leadership team, you will collaborate and openly communicate with other leaders across the organization.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Program Development:

  • Initiates and actively participates in the development of viable and valuable services, which address the current and forthcoming needs of people with a mental illness.
  • Advocates within the mental health system and with other public and private bodies to improve the quality of services to mentally ill persons.
  • Assists in drafting program-funding proposals for renewal and new funding requests.
  • Participates in the development of Coast’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Is an active member of the program committee and its endeavors.

Program Management:

  • Assures the delivery of quality services, including overseeing the day-to-day operation of the sites.
  • Participates in the overall planning of the organization by developing, implementing and evaluating the program and seeing that it meets Coast’s standards and quality.
  • Directly intervenes, when necessary, in the site’s program, personnel, or member issues.
  • Develops and articulates program standards and outcomes to staff, members and interested parties.
  • Develops appropriate quality improvements measures in current programs, sets appropriate performance thresholds, and monitors performance vis a vis those standards.
  • Assures that all required reports and documents are produced on a timely basis.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in the development of the annual budget for the sites and controls designated expenditures in accordance with the approved budget and in consultation with the Director of Recovery & Reintegration and/or the Controller.
  • Approves petty cash, mileage, imprest accounts and cheque requisitions.
  • Assists in the overall budgetary planning for the organization.

Personnel Management:

  • In accordance with Coast’s policy and procedures and in consultation with the Human Resource department, interviewing, hires, orientates, qualified staff, volunteers and students.
  • In accordance with Coast’s policy and procedures and in consultation with the Human Resource department, is responsible to supervise staff, volunteers and students, keep personnel records current and evaluate annually directly supervised staff. Provide volunteer and student placement reports as required.
  • Provides direction, recognition, mentorship and leadership to staff and oversee the direct supervision of the staff, volunteers and students.
  • In accordance with Coast’s policy and procedures and in consultation with the Human Resource department, assures that Coast’s policies and procedures and the collective agreement are being consistently applied and adhered to and can resolve grievances to step 2.
  • Responsible to carry out the progressive discipline up to and including termination. The Human Resource Manager and or must be consulted if a suspension or termination of an employee is being considered.
  • In accordance with the education committee and the Human Resource department standards and programs, develops and implements staff skill development, orientation and educational opportunities.
  • Attends, where appropriate, Labour Management Committee Meetings with the Human Resource Manager and the Union.

Community Relations:

  • Represents Coast to the mental health community and the broader community at large.
  • Liaises or develops mechanisms for communicating with relevant professional, government, business, community agencies and individuals.

Other:

  • Responds to other duties that may develop as requested by the Director.
  • Sits on relevant Coast Committees as required.
  • Liaises with relevant professional, government and community agencies.
  • Represents the Program in the immediate neighborhood of the program.
  • Represents Coast Mental Health to the broader lay and professional.
  • Participate in Accreditation Committee as assigned

  • Actively participates as a member of the Management team at Coast.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in healthcare, social services or social work is an asset
  • Professional designation or degree in social work or psychiatric nursing would be considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Certification:

  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Training in Crisis Management
  • Valid B.C. Driver’ License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check
  • WHMIS Certification

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mental health, with experience in housing programs working with concurrent disorders
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory and administrative experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes:

  • Strong knowledge of mental illness and treatment modalities, and has kept current with new developments in mental health and Community Care Facilities Licensing best practices
  • Current or recent experience working with mental illness and highly vulnerable populations

  • A good understanding of community and social services in the Coquitlam area will support your success in this role.

With in-person and virtual care options, we ensure that participants receive appropriate recovery support without unnecessary delays. Our mission is to improve the well-being of individuals by leveraging cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practices.


We are seeking a skilled Recovery Coach to join our Virtual Centre team. This role provides ongoing, virtual support to individuals navigating recoverywhether they are awaiting placement in recovery communities or requiring post-treatment support. Coaches work closely with participants via phone and video, supporting them in setting meaningful goals and sustaining their recovery journeys.


Reporting to the Recovery Coach Team Lead, the Virtual Recovery Coach provides consistent, individualized coaching and guidance to participants with substance use challenges. Coaches use trauma-informed approaches, motivational interviewing, and system navigation to empower participants throughout all stages of their recovery. They facilitate group sessions, build recovery plans, and ensure participants are connected to the right supports at the right time.


Role-Specific Accountabilities


Participant Coaching & Goal Planning

  • Engage participants through regular virtual (phone/video) sessions, providing structured, strengths-based recovery coaching.
  • Support individuals in identifying personal goals and developing realistic, actionable plans for recovery and well-being.
  • Monitor progress, revisit goals collaboratively, and adjust plans as participant needs evolve.

Recovery Group Facilitation

  • Lead and facilitate virtual recovery support groups, creating safe and inclusive spaces for peer connection and mutual support.
  • Tailor group content to participant needs and promote accountability, resilience, and hope.

System Navigation & Advocacy

  • Help participants understand and access community resources, including housing, healthcare, mental health, and employment services .
  • Advocate on behalf of participants to reduce systemic barriers and promote equitable access to services.
  • Provide information and referrals for treatment programs or specialized supports as needed.

Motivational & Trauma-Informed Support

  • Employ motivational interviewing and trauma-informed practices to build trust, enhance motivation, and reduce stigma.
  • Offer supportive interventions during periods of crisis or instability, ensuring safety and de-escalation when necessary.

Documentation & Confidentiality

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all participant interactions, coaching sessions, group participation, and referrals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards in all documentation and communications.
  • Contribute to ongoing program reporting and evaluation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Recovery Coach, Peer Recovery Support Specialist, or equivalent peer training (strongly preferred).
  • 12 years of experience in peer support, outreach, crisis work, or case management; lived experience with recovery is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery pathways, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate community resources and service systems effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trust and rapport virtually.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort with electronic documentation and virtual platforms.
  • Minimum two years of sustained recovery; must be able to pass random drug and alcohol screening.
  • Proficiency in a second language is an asset.

The collection and recovery agent is responsible for collecting delinquent accounts and coordinating asset seizures when necessary. What Will Your Mission Be?

  • Review accounts on a regular basis (daily and/orweekly) to keep delinquency and repossession to a minimum and manage repossession in an effective manner
  • Conduct prompt, courteous, and persuasive telephone collection calls and follow up on past due accounts.
  • Negotiate mutually acceptable remedy to the customers delinquent account
  • Educating our customers on acceptable payment arrangements and the benefits of their account as well as their credit bureau
  • Escalate problematic accounts to the manager.
  • Verify and update customer information and keeping customer records updated in the collection system
  • Accurately documenting all telephone calls as appropriate in the collection system
  • Skip tracing files when unable to reach or contact our customers using available information
  • Assist as required in identifying and recommending any payment arrangements and assisting with the corresponding documentation
  • Prepare and recommend payment amendments and coordinating the relative reporting
  • Issue appropriate notices
  • Assist with the preparation of payables associated with seizure activity
