What You Bring

- Journeyman Scaffolder certification (asset but not required).
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through service excellence and trust.
- Experience with sales, business development, or promoting services to industrial clients is highly valued.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance metrics.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Regional Manager (Northwest), you will play a key role in promoting and supporting the growth of Talking Stick and other First Nations programs in the Northwest regions of Saskatchewan. The Regional Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of program delivery, program management, communications, and reporting for their designated region of communities.
The Regional Manager will build awareness, momentum, and support for Talking Stick and other First Nations programs as required. This is an intermediate-level position that requires a high degree of accountability, ownership, and interpersonal management skills.
Additionally in this role, you are responsible for training and providing oversight to a regional team of Indigenous Peer Advocates (approximately 20-30 people), while ensuring a safe and collaborative work environment for everyone. You will engage in proactive communications with Peer Advocates, directing their day-to-day work, and removing any challenges or obstacles, especially those having to do with safety and service delivery, while ensuring their efforts adhere to the program's needs.
This position requires frequent travel, including long-distance drives for in-person meetings, presentations, and community/school visits across the Province. Some overnight travel is required.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the Provincial Director and works closely with other Regional Managers, to drive program engagement and growth
- Organizes and delivers presentations to communities, schools, health organizations, and other related indigenous organizations and groups in the region/province
- Collaborates with the Provincial Director as a liaison to Tribal Councils and Chiefs, in support of promoting the program goals
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with communities, schools, health authorities, media, and partner organizations
- Monitors and communicates program progress, risks, and opportunities, and provide regular written reports for your Region, including weekly work plans and a monthly report to the Provincial Director
- Contributes and collaborates on all aspects of program delivery, program management, marketing, education, and awareness building
- Supports the process of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training Peer Advocates for the Talking Stick program and other projects/programs as required
- Provides oversight, and day-to-day team building with Peer Advocates, including regular check-ins, coaching, and performance management
- Contributes and collaborates in the development of training and communications materials for Peer Advocates and communities
- Ensures adherence to the financial and personnel policies of TryCycle
- Maintains an up-to-date record of all contacts for your Region, utilizing HubSpot and/or other tools as required *training will be provided
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-led organizations, and partner organizations.
- Ensure that the program's objectives are met while incorporating ongoing learning, reflection, and feedback from the community.
- Be knowledgeable about and able to navigate the cultural dynamics of both the private and public sectors, with a particular focus on Indigenous communities.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed, this position may also require the performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
